Ok, I need help.
I'm getting pissed off this week because I have nothing to eat and this always happens to me. Usually I make PB&J sandwiches everyday, but after I get my first reply, hopefully I'll make something different. The ingredients I have are PB&J, kielbasa, tuna, canned corned beef, cheese, and shrimp. I'm on a low budget and a college student, so cooking is not my forte. Can anyone give me recipes or even "concoctions" so I can survive my break, please?

Well, you could make a tuna melt. Should I assume you have bread or some kind of bread product? Just put on the tuna, then put on the cheese then put it in the oven or toaster-oven. I'll also have to assume you are making this stuff at home. If it has to be portable, then a tuna melt wouldn't be so good.
I know this won't really answer your question, but the main problem seems to be that your pantry is overwhelmingly filled with meat and/or cheese. I know you might not have a penny to your name (as don't I), but try to spend a few dollars on some fruits and veggies. The most useful one I could think of would be some lettuce. You could make a salad with the shrimp or the tuna. Also, you could get some bananas and make a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Last but not least, if you can get your hands on some eggs, most of the things you listed would make a good omelet.

If you need something to take away with you then sandwiches are the business. I've been making them to take to work for the past three years but even so my range is not huge. Here are my favorites:
- Cheese with lettuce. And chutney or pickle (I use my mums homemade stuff). And cornbeef or ham. - Tuna mayo - add a dash of vinegar and salt and pepper. Sweetcorn is good too. - Egg mayo - add watercress and salt and pepper. Curry powder makes a nice change. If you can get hold of a whole chicken then I like to boil it up (with carrots, celery, peppercorns, onion) for a couple of hours. Then you have a stock (chill, scrape slime off) which you can then use as the base for a soup or for cooking rice. You also have lots of tasty, tender, healthly cooked chicken to use in sandwiches. I like adding chopped celery and mayo and lots of black pepper. Regarding sandwiches, even if you have the most expensive and tastiest filling it will taste rubbish if you don't have fresh, proper bread. The presliced stuff isn't worth it. Any sandwiche tastes good with decent bread. |

Cook up the shrimp with the kielbasa, make like a stirfry. Serve it over rice if you have it. Add salt and pepper, and some hot sauce. If you have some good bread add lettuce, tomato and mayo, make a po'boy.
