Whats everyones favorite Beer?
I am deep into brews but my favorites are German. I love Becks dark, Kostriker, Warsteiner, Jubel. Whats everyone else into?
|
I really like IPA's & Pale Ale's..... for me, nothin beats a Mirror pond Pale Ale. Made by the Descutes brewery in Bend Oregon.
|
i love sleeman honeybrown lager.....it is the best by far. I tried this new one the other day though call La fin du monde, something like that and it was absolutly horribe.
|
Granville Island's honey lager, Pyramid's Apricot Ale, Red Hook's blonde ale, and Moose Drool Nut Brown Ale. Non-microbrewery, I'd go for a Molson Canadian any day of the week :) Mmm, Molson and hockey. Now there's a combo.
|
Moondoggy, it is La Fin Du Monde, from Canada. It's probably not for everybody, because it's kind of sweet.. It really depends on your mood and what you're eating. I think it's fantastic. You do have to be careful, though, because it's 9% ethanol. That brewery makes at least 2 other brews available in the States. They're worth a shot, just for experimentation's sake.
I went to college in Carlisle, PA where there is this really neat English-style pub. You could get mixed six-packs for 50% of the normal cost. I found some really great beers there. Gosser Dark from Austria, Lion Stout from Sri Lanka, Celebrator Doppelbock... mmm.. beer... Ahhh.. Wonderful stuff. |
I've been on this molsen ice kick for a while, but I think its about time to change...... Its getting to have too much of an after taste.
|
German beer is the best.
|
sleeman's cream ale
coor's light warstiener depends on who brings over what. |
Homemade Mead, brewed by someone who knows what the hell they are doing.... I've blacked out many times drinking way to much of my friend's mead... his ales were to die for and sometimes you did.
|
LordEden: its funy that you bring up Mead my Adult Development teacher is real deep into the stuff and once I take his final we(my girlfriend and I) are going to go try it with him
|
Normal draft: Grolsch
īSpecialī Beer: De Koninck Cuveé |
Everyone who said Fin du Monde:
Yes. Bob |
I like just plain old Budweiser, if I have to drink beer, that is.
|
okay... this one probably doesn't count.. but when I was in the philippines, I drank warm San Miguel, US$.05/bottle at a tittie bar with all the ice you wanted to chill them up. Now that was some good beer. Everytime I drink one.. it's like a stroll down mammary lane.
|
Just Budweiser. Red label.
For something different - I like the Pete's Oktoberfest and the various pale ales that are brewed in the summer. |
Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale
Red Hook ESB Budweiser, (it is the king of beers) Pacifico anything that is free... |
BUD ICE
|
Still not technically old enough to have a favorite beer (have another half month to go on that one), but I've got to say that guiness is my favorite; there's something wrong with a beer if you can look through the glass and see the other side :)
|
Davik, I like the way you think. An exception in my book is Tsing Tao from China. Tasty.
|
Carnivore, there are definitely some tasty paler beers, sapporo is fairly good, and for standing around grilling in the summer it's hard to beat a corona but a slice of lime, but for pure taste, black is best.
|
ooh, I forgot about the Corona. Now there's a beer I look forward to in the summer.
|
Molson Canadian and Alexander Keith's India pale ale.Having one right now.
|
There are too many of the wonderful German brews to name here - they're all great.
For a nice, cheery house beer, Heineken has always been good; I'm enjoying Pilsner Urquell at the moment though. I usually prefer Guinness when I can get it on tap. |
A mixture of Tooheys Old and Tooheys New. Called a bruiser I think.. :D
|
Call me a simpleton but i like Bud Light. So sue me.
|
Sapporo, a Japanese beer you can find at most good liquor stores is the king of beers as far as I'm concerned. Smooth as can be with mellow hops and just a hint of bite to round out the flavor.
|
Guinness, Bass, or Harp in the winter
Ice cold Corona in the summer |
I'm a sucker for Kilkenny. Good ale!
But for serius drinking i usually drink some cheap swedish lager.. |
Molson Canadien and Hockey! I agree! I like all kinds of beer, it's a mood thing I guess. Some favorite's to note:
Bass Ale, Red Hook; Dos Equis; Corona; Anchor Steam; Genesee Bock; But, Molson is definately better! |
I drink only Lagers and the very odd Ale. I mostly by Alexander Keiths or Moosehead - both Canadian.
Quite often I'll also brew my own. |
Man... I need a beer now!
|
I'd have to say some of my favorites are the Vermont Micro Brews.
Magic Hat, Long Trail, and Otter Creek just to name a few. They all are great! |
Stella Artois & Guinness
|
How could I have forgotten the damn Milwaulkee's Best?!
Jest Kidden! |

I also agree with philzilla and love both Stella Artois & Guinness. Also enjoy Sleeman's. |
mmmm.... Bud
For a change Corona w/ a slice of Lime! Usually thats all thats in the fridge. Pack, yep Kilkenny is nice beer/ale? I like it, but have a hard time waiting for it to settle. :) - All for instant gratification. Also nice one is Hoegarden, cloudy sweet beer, but I'm sure it keeps fermenting in your stomach 'cause after three I'm pretty fuzzy. |
had Pilsner Urquell a couple nights in a row at a bar in Denver. Thats pretty good stuff.
Budweiser though, just a good solid beer. |
What ever one someone pluncks down in front of me.
Honestly, my taste buds are so shot I only taste the first one (barely) and then after that is just smooth sailing. Makes cooking for me rather easy ;) |
This thread is making me very very thirsty ;)

The second stout I helped make, and the best stout I've ever had. Close second to Old Dominion Brewery's Oak Barrel Stout. |
