Maybe Bud Ice would be a solid. (They ought to make Bud Dry Ice for the extra cold market.) Try Tzingu, Brazillian black beer for a beer you can sculpt. I like the stuff, but most of my buddies, even the beer savvy among them, think that this is how Brazil gets rid of what they dredge out of the Amazon's shipping channel. EKU 28 Kulminator is also right on that line betweem liquid and solid. |
Anything from Beligium...well, not anything, but I'm a big beer snob. Spent a week touring breweries and bars in Belgium a few years back. The Brugge Triple (sp?) was probably the fav on that trip. Back in the states I have to say I can't find much that surpasses any of the products from Stoudt's brewery. Many contenders tho.

I like Bass, Harp, & Guinness. Amberbock isn't bad if its really cold and Corona is a great summer beer.
|
It's a toss-up between:
Guinness Newcastle Bass Murphy's |
Shiner Bock, made in the little brewery in Shiner, TX. Look for it in your imports section of your favorite liquer store.
I can drink that stuff for *DAYS* on end. I love it |
Alexander Keith's - nothing else ... unless it's free :)
|
kokanee beer for me
|
Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse----
Made in Germany, its a wheat beer, by FAR the best beer you can drink. Pour in a tall glass w/a couple inches of head, enjoy!! I have been around, dranks lots of beer (military life), and this the best!! |
Guinness, Beamish, & Murphy's for Stouts.
My favorite beer on earth may just be DAB(Germany). Unbelievable on tap, still great in a bottle. An Austrian brew caleed Stiegl is great, give that a shot if you can find it. Stella Artois is great stuff too... For Domestics, good old Miller High Life is a man's beer. Drink it and feel tough... |
pilsner urquell right now
|
Moosehead, Alexander Keiths, Steamwhistle, Heineken, Upper Canada Lager, Labatts 50
|
Finally Yuengling made it to the South.
|
My favorite beer is FREE BEER, but if I'm paying, depends on the mood
Rolling Rock Kirin Ichiban Corona - a must if you are at the beach!!! |
Guiness all the way followed by Bass Ale, Dos Equis, and Sam Adams original.
|
Has anyone else had the Smirnoff Ice Triple Black?? I find it really good. Course, I usually end up with Coors Light on drinking nights, but kicking back with a Triple Black is a great way to unwind.
|
Newcastle! Poddington's is okay, Michelob is pretty underrated.
|
good canadian beers
one of my favourites is Moosehead, next in line is probably Brick.
as for imports, I'm kinda partial to Stella Artois |
I enjoy most beers I can't see through.
That includes Guinness, which is my staple because it is delicious and affordable. |
Cascade sparkiling pale ale
Victoria bitter are the best I have had but since I cant get them stateside I drink Bud/ Bud Light |
BBC aka Berkshire Brewing Company
http://www.berkshirebrewingcompany.com/ Brewed in South Deerfield MA |
Tsing Tao, Sapporo, Tiger, but above all Carlsberg, probably the best beer in the world :D But then I'm Danish, so I'm biased... I like a good Murphy's or Guiness once in a while, to. But you have to be hungry to have room for any amount of that stuff...
|
Beck's and Kokanee for me!
|
Alexander Keith's is my standard everyday beer (well, not every day, but you get the idea). But nothing beats a six of Corona on a hot summer afternoon.
I also have lots of fun by buying a bunch of individual bottles or cans from all over the place, I have fond (although hazy) memories of Creemore Springs (Ontario microbrewery) and some stuff called "Taiwan Beer" surprisingly good for 1.30$ / can |
Sleemans is good, Summer Lightning is a good beer also
for a summer mainstream lager, gotta go with the CORONA (with lime of course) A quality beer to have out in the sun |
<i>'But nothing beats a six of Corona on a hot summer </i>afternoon.' i see you beat me to it Rockzilla. Can't beat the corona in the summer!
|
Nothin too extraordinary for me... pretty much Bud Ice is all I drink.
|
Duvel, Palm, Grolsch, Verboden Vrucht & Guinness.
|
coming from england, we're a little spoiled for choice (not a bad thing!) but some goodies are:
old speckled hen, elephant beer (surprisingly drinkable for 8%), guinness (of course), boddingtons, john smiths extra smooth, waggledance damn! all this talk of beer has made me right thirsty! |

rockzilla or the simpsons quote when homer is laying in his hammock as ned comes over to talk to him. 'Can't a man just sit back and enjoy a beer on a wednesday morning in peace?!'
|
killains irish red or any good red beer from micro brewers. call it a hobby.
|
Mmmmmmm... anchor steam!! that's what god drinks on sunday.
i wasn't gonna drink today, but i'm gettin' the urge for some good beer. thanks for the post!! |
Snake Bite!
Guinness and Hard Cider (funny, but the cider has more alcohol content than the guinness) |
Keystone light!!! College student on a budget, nuff said
|
Right now my favotites are Holy Moses, Bell's special double cream stout, and the occasional Dogfish World Wide Stout (24% abv)
|
Kelt!
But you can't get it 'stateside... :( |
I love the taste of an ice cold Dos Equis, especially when I'm in the club. Best mexican beer IMHO.
|
James Squire is a local boutique beer in Sydney... definitely a fav.
also got to put in a good word for Crown Lager, and Hahn Premium. but a cold Corona on a hot summers day is pretty damn near perfect. |

Heineken is my favourite. There are also a lot of Canadian beers that I really like..
