We are our own men, Tully. Some of us choose to ride 750s. Some of us choose to drink ourselves into a coma every evening.

...

I'm going on a cruise to meet TFP people and I'm only bringing cargo pants and some aviator sunglasses. And sunblock.

This cruise better have a climbing wall so I can reenact various action movies.

I figure my odds of getting laid on this cruise are actually less than if I went alone.

Depends on the cruise line.

Here, I don't think I've ever gotten sick from the food.

I worked as a cook for a short time on a cruise ship, it's not that bad. It's like generic corporate food stuffs. They use fresh ingredients, there are people who's job is to do nothing but cut carrots all day. Meat is frozen. Nothing is leftover. Everything is tossed after it has been on the buffet. They are ANAL about food prep and care on cruises. Most people get sick because they eat something they are allergic to or just fucking pig out all the time.

*****

Dude, I'm down for this. I can do a cruise as long as we have set dates and I have a good while to save for it.

Cromp, POA, and I will rock that boat. After that we will most likely get kicked off the boat.

Blah... I may not know you, but you just don't seem up for the stupid juvenile antics and sophomoric behavior that will follow Punk, Chomp, and I. Fun games like, "Look at punk's penis... no seriously if you don't look at it, he won't put it away", "Who wants to get punched in the face", "Watch Chomp and Eden reenact the Night at the Roxbury", and my favorite "Try to have sex with women who don't speak English"!

If you want to get keelhauled along with the rest of us, come on down.

I knew I was doing something wrong. Sign ya thats a good idea. I know a printer down here. Wonder what the maid would think as she reads "Don't bother us, we're fucking?"

And who says I don't want to break stuff and fuck on the floor?

What? You think there's a expiration date for that stuff? Like when you hit 40 the only interest you have is what time bingo and shuffleboard starts.

Now excuse me while I find out what Denny's early bird special is today.

I didn't mean to imply that you have no desire to bang wenches, Divemaster Dan... just that you'd probably prefer to do it one-on-one using a mattress as the fuck surface instead humping of atop a broken coffee table covered with empty beer cans and other people watching.

...

I'm going to need to make a Mix CD for this cruise. I want to wake up to "Welcome to the Jungle" at 0800.

You never know, the beer cans don't sound great but I like rum. MILF to you is MILF to me, just closer to my age... which I prefer. Anything under 33-35 isn't usually on my radar, at some point it reaches creepy factor.

But yes if you're going to break coffee table and shit do so in your stateroom.. I ain't paying for shit busted up by other people. If I damage anything it'll be a headboard... and it'll have been worth it.

0800? I'm up by 0430 most days, on trips I sleep in another hour. So you let me know what wake up music you want and I'll have it ready for ya.

"Welcome to the Jungle?" I made a point of listening to that as I crossed out of the highland desert near central Mexico and into the jungle. Woke my dogs up but I don't think they got the meaning at all.

I'm looking for a CD of band that played on the beach here the other night. Bunch of AC/DC, Kid Rock, The Stones, Eminem etc.. all in Spanish. They were either good or I had just the right about of rum in me.

That's really funny.

...

Okay, so I've got my outfit prepped... my passport... my Giant Wad 'O Cash... and... umm... I'm missing something.

Should I buy a bunch of that Dramamine stuff? I mean, I'm not expecting The Perfect Storm action, but I had a friend that went to Greece and spent time on one of their smaller "cruise ships" and apparently it was like churning in Satan's stomach. I remember getting airsick in A-stan on a CH-47 once.

I never even notice the ship moving, but I have been with people who get sick. They ain't turning the ship around for you. I'd buy some if it were in question. They sell it on the ship, but nothing on the ship is cheap.

Personally worse storm I ever hit in the Navy was off the coast of Washington state. One minute you're walking on the deck, then the bulkhead and back to the deck. Had been literally around the world and the worst weather I ran into was 500 miles from my hometown.

I've never been sea sick ever.

POA and I? Tho I don't think we can fit in your suitcase.

I would buy a box just in case. If you get really bad you can call the ship's doctor and he will give some to you, but that's for when you are REALLY sick. I'm like tully, I don't get seas sick and I went through some really rough waters when I was on the ship. Better safe than sorry tho.

Get some Sea-Bands instead, or at least try them first before drugging yourself. They are wristbands with a hard round point that you place a few inches up your wrist, they press on an accupressure point and suppress seasickness (and morning sickness).

Hey, I just Google'd the Sea-Bands thing. Great idea, Redlemon. I dislike taking pills and a funky wrist band would be a great alternative.

I don't envision having any problems, but my inner Boyscout is telling me to Be Prepared.

Seasickness is in your head. That is to say, it's 99.99% mind over matter. The people who are the sickest at sea are the ones who sat around before departure yakking about how seasick they were going to be. If it turns out, Crompsin, that you are one of the .01% that this doesn't apply to, and you find yourself getting queasy, a warm tunafish milkshake would be just the thing to get you over that initial "am I going to barf?" stage...
