I think Terry's only chance was to make an alliance with someone before the last vote. He has to know that everyone else will want to get rid of him before the final 2. I think he should have given the immunity idol to Danielle with a promise to not vote him off and hope she would honor it. I really don't see how he can win any other way unless there are more immunity challanges he can win.

Last weeks immunity challange was more puzzle solving than physical ability so the producers figured out a way to stop his winning streak.

these challenges are a massive undertaking to set up. Not only do they have to construct the part you see, but also have to set up (and hide) numerous camera positions, running power, signal, etc., etc. These are all planned far in advance. In know way do I believe that the producers can/do pick challenges with the intent of giving someone an advantage and/or ending someone's winning streak.

I guess I think that the producers try to set things up for the highest ratings. Allowing Terry to get immunity to the final two is too much of a slam dunk and lower ratings.

They (the producers) probably have several challenges lined up, and they use the one they believe will create the best TV.

It's possible but I think they tend to plan ahead with a variety of challenges that test different skills, thus not allowing someone with just one skill set to dominate. Terry is doing so well because he's smart and physical.

Please don't post any finale results here until Monday morning. the West Coast gets it on a delay and we don't want to spoil the results for anyone

Okay, I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. All those betting people lost their money. She wouldn't have won no matter who she picked to sit beside her.

For some reason I was strongly inspired to apply for the show after last night. I have to figure out my angle

Have to admit, I'm disatisfied by anyone other than Terry winning. Kinda lost interest after Danielle screwed him over for the umpteenth time and he was gone.

Yeah, it looks like the betters were wrong. The final immunity challange was obviously designed for the lightest person to win which favored Danielle. Like I said before, this makes for better TV since Terry would have been a slam dunk if he had he won.

Maybe now Aras can move out of his mother's basement.

the betting was based on Danielle leaking the fact that she was final 2. I don't know why everyone thought she would win. No one knows who wins until the live finale

so do you think that the producers want to hear more why you'd be good at the game or why you want to play? You can only make a 3 minute video, so time is of the essence. I think I would be better off saying why I want to play. The written application has many questions pertaining to HOW you want to play.

I was dissapointed, yet not very suprised, that Danielle screwed Terry yet again. Did it look like she was sulking during the entire reunion episode, even before the winner was announced?

I hope she goes into Playboy, Even though i'm glad she didnt win I still think she is uber hot.

In the Cook Islands in the South Pacific, and I think they said in the Fall. I didn't hear a specific date.

I knew Cerie couldn't do a fire well enough to win.
I'm glad she won the car, though. She's a good person and she deserved it, especially for having to see Shane's chapped nuts.

I'm pretty sure the appliations for this next round of Survivor were due in February... I think you'll have to wait until the next casting call. If I'm wrong, please hook me up with a link, because I've decided to apply as well.

huh... that's weird... you're absolutely right, when downloading the application form it gives correct info, but on that same page it says for eligibility rules:

Quote:
Written application forms are available for downloading on this website. These forms along with the video submission must be received at the SURVIVOR mailbox no later than Friday, February 3, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Producers reserve the right, in their discretion, to extend the deadline as appropriate.
Thanks for straightening me out! They must have just not updated all the information yet.

They should be ready to start filming 13 right now, I think they usually start around the same time the current one ends. TFP in the house for survivor!! that would be really neat.

Im glad Danielle didnt win

they've heard everything a thousand times. I'm just guessing they want a good human story more than a "look how strong I am, blah blah" type thing. I can't imagine there is anything they haven't seen in those tapes.

Do your audition tape in a full on Strongbad outfit complete with accent, and tell them that they can stop searching because you are the most awesomly awesome contestant they could conceive, but you'll only go if they change the motto to "Outwit, Outlast, OutCheat". And tell them if they don't pick you, they will have to face the wrath of Trogdor.

You could go with the theatre angle - They haven't had many contestants who work in the arts before. On the other hand, I don't know if the producers would find it interesting or not "homespun" enough

Mostly you'll need ripped abs.

i think a simple "my wife has sacrificed a lot for my career, my schooling, and now to let me stay with the kids, and I want to give back in a big way" is how I'll go. The chances of getting picked are so slim that I'm not going to sweat it too much

Get yourself an agent. How do you think all of those beautiful people get on there?

And looking good in a bikini is an added bonus. Do you look good in a bikini?

I would make a demo tape of how fast you can untie knots. Then I would do a cut scene of you hanging upside down by a burning rope while you undo a combination lock that has a fire extinguisher in it. The camera angle could make it look like you are a thousand feet in the air, but when you are finished you could pan out and show a matress underneath you.

Then the gross food challenge could be "Eat what Daddy made for Supper". Make it look really bad. Like crack an egg over the bacon, then stir in some hashbrowns and pour ketchup over the whole thing.

Then you could do a balancing thing where it shows that you could stand on a tree stump or something.

Then you could do the "How fast can we clean up the toys before mommy gets home?" and get your kids to help out. Run circles around them, and when you are done, get in their face and yell out "INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY!"

This would be much funnier if the kid was like 3 years old or something.

or you could eat one of those new KFC things with the mashed potatoes, popcorn chicken, corn and gravy all mixed together with shredded cheese on top.

so as not to be completely off-topic in this thread, i felt terry deserved to win the most because of all the immunity challenge wins when he had to have them. too bad he didn't pull off one more...

I actually thought (many seasons back) of making the audtion tape be a mock tribal council with me and the dog being in the final two and my two kids plus some stuffed animals being the jury. Probably too hard to pull off
