So, in the preview they showed airplane wreckage on the ground with the Presidential crest on it. Prez. may not be dead, but the plane is definitely in many pieces on the ground. Also, the "football" is stolen by random people.
Secondly, it is impossible for a F-117 to shoot down another plane. Even though they are called "stealth fighters" they have no air-to-air capabilities. They carry only air-to-ground guided bombs, and don't even have a cannon. But I still love the show.

Alright, so the president survived. Of course everyone around him is dead but he somehow made it through the crash. Maybe he used his dead sons body as a human shield, who knows.
What's up with the VP? His reaction when Mike told him that terrorists have our nukes looked a little too familiar...Maybe like our real presidents reaction to 9/11? "Duh...I don't know what to do so I'm not going to do anything." I wonder what's going to happen with that storyline. Maybe he gets killed and Palmer comes back? Not very likely but how cool would that be?? Then maybe he wont have to make any more lame insurance commercials. It must have sucked to be that couple that found the football! Then again, who goes camping to try to make a baby?? C'mon! At least they were well equipped when they walked the 50 yards to inspect what was burning. I don't think I would have had a compass, pen or a backpack to walk a few feet. Marwan is one slippery MF. How many times has he gotten away now? Under satellite coverage even?? They even had a chopper this time and they couldn't catch him! He couldn't have been that far off! Oh well, I guess I'm glad he got a way. There's a lot more show left! I wasn't too clear on what was going on in the preview for next week. Did they catch Anderson? Is that who the prez wants protection for? 7 Hours left!

IT tried to shoot the jeep that jack told them to, but it missed (amazing how bad a shot these guys are) but got close enough for the jeep to careen out of control into the gully, and overturn.
Unfortunately, the helicoptor pilot was unable to pursue the second jeep. Maybe he was tired, or upset at his poor aim, but i bet if the LAPD were there with their heat sensing cameras, they would have kept on Marwan's tail with no problem. |

I'm loving this season so far. I've watched every episode, but I'm still buying the DVD. Some things are getting a tad predictable, like Jack saving the couple at the last moment, but you take the bad with the good.

ARRGGHH! I got called into work last night so I taped the show to watch later. I sat down to watch it tonight and discovered I screwed up the timer settings and ended up only getting the recap at the beginning .
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of last nights episode? I tried a few bittorrent sites but haven't found anything yet. I'd even be willing to pay if there is a legimate site to get it from. I seem to recall there was a site where you could d/l TV shows legally but a quick search on Google turned up empty. Any suggestions? The recaps at the beginning are usually sufficient to bring you up to speed on what's going on but I'd really hate to miss an entire episode. |

Btefnet.org has the episode. Do with that what you will.....
On the episode: Something smells rotten in the White House, that is for certain. Man, have we delved into the realm of unbelievablity or what? This guy was woke up because of an explosion and had to look for it? I mean, a good chunk of the plane was a short walk away. He didn't wake up when the plane flew over (big ass plane at low altitudes), didn't wake up when the chunks started falling...right...over...there, but managed to wake up when he 'thought' he heard an explosion? Man, oh, man. And they didn't catch Marwan? It's a big desert, but, c'mon, it's night time, the jeep lights were pretty bright, and a helicopter has to have some serious visual range anyway, but especially under those conditions. He just disappeared. I'm starting to think ol' Marwan may be related to David Copperfield. On a side note, that Jack is one knowledgeable mofo. And shouting at that guy before shooting him on the ledge. "Hey!" *BAM! That was pretty cool.

I like how even though terrorists are about to acquire the keys to our entire nuclear arsenal, they send Jack into the power plant with ONE anonymous agent as backup, and they're both armed with only pistols. Cchhyyyeeeah
How many anonymous agents paired with Jack this season have died? There's that one who went into the apartment with Jack and got stabbed by that lady impersonating the FBI, then the one at the power plant, so at least 2, I'm sure there's more. And yeah... how could the helicopter NOT find Marwan's jeep? This is the freaking DESERT! There are NO OTHER LIGHTS! Oh well. Gotta love 24.

Ugh, if you haven't stopped already, I really suggest that you stop watching the trailers. Fox has just really stopped caring about what they throw in there, and is basically spelling out the next weeks episode, or at least major plot twists. Time to avoid the rest of these at all costs.

This weeks episode didnt come off very well after the intense action of the last couple weeks. Interesting plot turns coming up. Jack going rouge wasn't a suprise, can't wait to see how they pull that off.

I can't stand how much of a pussy the new Pres is. It's annoying to the point of being pathetic. I like that hardcore Jack is back, though.

Yea, the VP is just retarded. Seriously, I think he's truly mentally retarded. 20 minutes to make a decision my ass... be a man!
Well, I keep harping on it, but they really do need to find another plot device besides torturing. This is, what, the 7th person tortured this season? 8th? I'm not even sure if I'm exaggerating. Nevertheless, Jack tazing the marshal and breaking the guy's thumb was fun to watch.... And what's gonna happen with Edgar? He's definately nearing his boiling point. I'm not really sure what I believe he's capable of... When we saw the marshal get tazered, I was half expecting it to be Edgar. That might have been a stretch, but he seems almost pissed off enough to do something like that.

Alright, not as exciting as the last few episodes but still, it opened up to new possibilities.
What was up with that stupid rookie terrorist? "Sorry Marwan, I used that credit card you gave me from the Bank of Terrorism." Yeah, they tracked your ass down in a heartbeat. The president is a huge incompetent coward. I have a feeling he wont be around much longer. If he is, he will be someones puppet. Who says 24 isn't realistic? Tony and Michelle are on the road back to reconciliation. Duh. Why didn't Jack mention that the sleazy guy didn't have time to call a lawyer?? I think that's pretty relevant information. If he was innocent, how would anyone know he was arrested and why would they call amnesty so quickly?? C'mon! I thought Edgar was going to lose it and go for the sleazeball himself. It would have messed up Jack's plan but would have been so worth it. My respect level for Edgar would have shot up to 5%. I like how Jack blew Audrey off. I'm sure he already knows she's leaving him for her ex-husband. I'm just surprised he didn't walk away while giving her the finger. The tazer to the neck and the broken thumb were so cool! I like vigilante Jack. He knows how to get shit done! Since some people are not watching the trailers, I'll keep this on the down low: Spoiler: Holy shit! Palmer's back baby! Ah, 24...you make me so happy.

I wish they'd just quietly write Edgar out. He's got to be the least interesting guy on the show. They must've big plans for ol' Edgar if they've kept him around this long.
Jack is hardcore. "I'm resigning to go torture some terrorist asshole in the parking lot....wish me luck." Wow.

Man I fully expected Jack to go all Ike Turner on that sleazy lawyer guy, dude was beggin' for it.
So regarding the new president, does anyone else think he looks a lot like R.M. Nixon? I wonder if that is just a cooincidence. Wonder how much longer Mike Novic can take his pussy-ass waffling and just wrest control of the country for himself?

damn, that was a great episode. and I guess it's pretty clear that the VP/current President isn't in cahoots with Marwan, but is really just totally inept. I'm hooked on this show like it's black tar heroin.

That was great last night. Tony should have been in the feild with Jack tho, he's being wasted in the office. Not to mention that Tony never would have let those secret service guys fuck up the mission.
The Palmer thing is an awkward "tack on." His presense seems really out of place.

I used to hate chloe, but she is so awkward it is great.
E: "You are the best analyst we have" C: "......I know." haha, that was awesome to see her blow the guy away too. I wanted Palmer to jump from his normal position in the Allstate commercial across frames and land comfortably in the realm of 24....crushing the inept President in the process. Can't wait to see the next one.

Once again I loved the episode but hated many things about it. Palmer coming back is fun but soooo lame at the same time. Chloe blasting the terrorist was great but totally stupid.
I really liked that there was finally a President that was afraid of how his decision would effect his political career. |

I finally watched it last night. That was pretty awesome! The prez is a stupid dick but at least Palmer is coming in to show him how it's done. I agree, a little out of place but who cares, Palmer's back!
Edgar needs to die. By explosion. Nuff said. Audrey needs to be standing next to him when it happens. Okay, the Chloe moment was both awesome and lame at the same time. I'll admit, I did jump out of my seat when that happened. Damn, this show rocks.

so I've been counting the word NOW in episodes, ala the drinking game Hi Bob from the Bob Newhart Show, and I got 19 NOWs.
The drinking game I've thought up is 1 drink for NOW, 2 for Jack Bauer saying NOW.

without posting any severe spoilers, does anyone have any idea what the frick was going on in that "next week on 24" clip? i saw jack shooting a bunch of asian people in uni's i've never seen before. i can't even process a way to make that work, unless the nuke's being pawned off on the chinese. if that was the deal though, marwan would wanna get rid of it right after the theft, and not reprogram himself. ugh.

another great episode this week, and the new twist regarding the Chinese is really interesting.
however, the really sappy moments (like when Michelle found out Tony was living with another woman or when Edgar was asking Chloe how she was doing) made my brother and I literally laugh out loud because of how forced and ridiculous all of them seemed.

Sweet episode. Anyone catch how the one CTU agent had a scratch on his face? They focused on that for some reason. Maybe DNA match to link CTU to the operation? I wonder if that's going to play out in the next three episodes.
Damn, Jack let Paul die. Poor Audrey, making all those plans. I couldn't help but laugh obnoxiously loud. Palmer is still the man and Jack is still a bad ass. Only three more episodes. So bittersweet.

And so Jack sacrifices Paul (and in a way, Audury) for his country. Now there's a real hero. And wouldn't the guards know better than to shoot while Jack has a guy over his back?
I thought Tony forgot to call home, "Hi honey. Great news. They might give me my old job back. By the way, I'm working with my ex-wife, Michelle. I told you about her, right? And guess what?! Her boyfriend is my boss. And I just thought you should know that we still have feelings for each other and I'll be working late. And pick up some beer from the store.
