This is another thread I thought I'd already seen, but a SEARCH yielded nothing.

If you've walked out of more than one, what was the most recent?

That is the ONLY movie I've ever walked out of. My wife and I went on opening night, and we were the only two people in the theatre. Somehow everybody else knew it was a dud without even showing up.

I've sat through some real stinkers before, simply out of principle alone. But this one was just too much even for me.

I try not to walk out of too many movies because I'm too poor to throw money away like that but IIRC, I walked out of Independance Day. One of the very few movies I've walked out of. I guess I just wasn't in the mood for it. I saw it a few years later and it wasn't that bad.

I had to walk out of Dude, Where's My Car?. It wasn't very funny and it just kept getting stupider. I like stupid movies but that one was just too much.

I walked out of Crumb. Many people loved that movie but It bored me too tears. I also had a free pass for it so I didn't mind walking out.

I "walked out of it" on VHS. Well, I turned it off at least. My sister rented it once. It successfully holds the title of "worst movie" in my book.

Lasereth, I hope you mean it holds the title of "worst movie" that you have seen in your book, because I'm fairly sure that Gigli, Crossroads, or From Justin to Kelly might be a tad worse.:p

i don´t mean to be offensive ... but i walked out at the end of Saving Private Ryan (well, it was almost the end ... but i wish to claim a walk out) ... at the point where the old guy is saluting the grave, and the fluttering American Flag was montaged in the background... that was just too much for me for two reasons.

firstly, it just got too sappy for my liking.
and secondly, that scene seemed to scream at me; this story is not for you, since you are not American...

i also remember walking out of the Ali G movie, Johnny Mneumonic and Chain Reaction... all because i thought they were a waste of my time.

I've never walked out of a movie for one reason: it could always turn out to be a zombie movie at the end. The end of Saving Private Ryan could have errupted in a Zombietastic orgy of mayhem and you'd never know.... its always worth sticking around just to find out.

I walked out of Scary Movie right at the beginning.

So far all of the movies named saved for maybe "Saving Private Ryan" were movies.. you all should have known better to actually go to the theater to see it.
I wanted to walk out of AI, but i fell asleep and then woke up to see the last hour of it..

never done it. almost did it with The Skulls. i also did a VHS shutoff with Cyborg2.

I walked out during the big battle scene at the end of LOTR:The Two Towers. I thought it was a good scene, but for some reason I started to get really claustrophobic (sp?) sitting there in the middle of the theatre filled to the max with opening weekend people. That was the only time in a theatre... I did take "It's Pat: The Movie" out of the VCR after 20 minutes because it was horrid, I tried to get my money back for the rental, but Blockbuster wouldn't do it.

I remember people walking out during the introduction of Fat Bastard in the Austin Powers movie.

I would have walked out of "The Legend of Bagger Vance" but the audience was actively making fun of the movie and it was fun to listen to them.

None of those movies are as bad as the shit known as Dude Where's My Car. And yes, as far as I'm concerned, it is the worst movie of all time.

I almost walked out on Dungeons and Dragons but my friend kept bugging me to stay and see if it got better. That movie is shit.

never walked out on a movie. turned a channels but i'm compulsivly do that anyways(more input! more info! BWHaHaHA! sorry..) ive seen some pure shit in my days. the cars that ate paris is bad as in not even funny bad. hell ive even watched some of the movies mstk3 spoofed before they were spoofed.probably the worst movie ive ever seen in theaters was either Dreamcatcher(it had potential dammit too!),Big Trouble, and street fighter. Good rule of thumb never watch a movie starring jason lee and tom sizemore together(by themselves is usally ok)

I walked out of Hollow Man. It's was the most ridiculously predictable movie I've ever seen.

I walked out of Spike Lee's School Daze. That movie stunk to high heaven.

Ive not walked out on any movies in the theater, I just choose to use my freetime in the worthless movie to make everyones lives miserable until I get kicked out.

Altho, I have turned many movies off when rented on DVD.

Yeah, I agree with Chinagal. I dont walk out of movies. I do, however, turn rented movies off.

XXX - One of the worse movies that I've ever seen.

and I hear they are making a XXX 2? Vin Diesel said he wouldn't star in it, so it might be a little better. I still won't watch it.

Batman Forever.

I not only walked out, I did so cursing loudly the entire time, with most of the audience agreeing with me. That had to be one of the worst films ever made.

But it is topped by Manos: The Hands of Fate.

The only movie I recall walking out of was a movie called Strangeland which came out in like 1997 or 1998 or so.

hhhm.....it occurs to me that I've never walked out of a movie in my life....as far as I can remember.
I'm too much of a stingy bastard.

Oddly enough, Batman Forever is considered the best of the series by most film critics. :) Batman and Robin is easily the worst of the series.

I would've walked out on the Big Lebowski (which is seriously lousy IMHO), if it wasn't for my G/f at the time giving me one seriously good hand job ....

I bought a DVD called "Texas Rangers" at Ballbuster in the discount section. I saw the first 30 minutes, removed the crap from my DVD player, snapped the filth in half and stuck it in the rental return slot. If I could find their addresses I would send each of the producers of that garbage a nasty letter.

The first two Batman movies (Batman, and Batman Returns) are easily the best. Every one after that = crap.

Never done it. I choose my movies wisely, if there's a remote chanse it will suck, I'll wait and rent it later.

C'mon, that was the worst thing to happen to Bruce Wayne since his parents died.

The only movie I've ever walked out on was Titanic, I work at the theater at the time and got into the movie for free. I'd also already seen it. It seemed like such a good idea to watch it again, but after the first hour of nothing happening and the thought of having to wait another hour and a half to see everyone die just didn't seem worth it.

The only video I remember turning off recently was Joe Dirt, I ended up watching again months later and it wasn't that bad, but I guess I just wasn't in the mood the first time.

Just shows you how much critics know. :)

That thing was just awful. I refused to watch Batman & Robin. I still haven't seen it.

i went to see andy warhol's "frankenstein" at a midnight movie in college. i was drunk and stoned for sure, possibly something else floating around in there, too...

i had to bail when one of the characters started trying to fuck another's incision..........:hmm:

The first, last, and only movie I have ever walked out on was Devil's Advocate. As much as i tried, I could not get into this movie. But I didn't lose any sleep over it either.

Netflix screwed up and sent me 2Fast2Furious. I watched it for about 30 min before the bullshit acting hurt my head and the 100th "Brah" was uttered. Packed it up and put in in the mail that instant.

I have only ever seriously considered walking out of one movie: Beloved. The story had something to do with a dead daughter coming back to life and being so mad at her mother (Oprah Winfrey) that she seduces Mom's boyfriend, gets pregnant, and stands in the doorway buck naked. Then she goes away. I also remember a close-up of Oprah squatting down on the ground and relieving herself. Well there was more than that, I suppose. THREE HOURS more, in fact.

While I didnt walk out of it, but actually watched the entire film on video at home, The Pledge is one of the few movies I've seen that made me feel like someone had robbed me of 2 hours of my life, and I had nothing to show for it.

The other movies that have been mentioned in this thread I would have walked out of had I actually been crazy enough to pay money to see them in the theatre.

I walked out of Titanic the second time I went to see it, loved it the first time but the second seemed so contrived, just waited to see Kates tits and left.

I should've walked out of Brotherhood of the Wolf too but I was just waiting for a moment that would redeem the film from being absolute bullshit.
