I coulda swore that Babylon 5 finished properly. It had like 5 or 6 seasons and ended with a real ending, not just being cut off in the middle like many shows.

hobo 08-09-2003 09:39 PM

Family Guy is a show that deserved to keep going for 7+ years. Too bad.

I miss Babylon 5. It did go on for a long time but I think there was a lot left unfinished. They started Crusade to tell the story of the shadow allies that plagued Earth, but got cancelled before reaching the cure in the 4 year term it was supposed to go on for. Too bad. Those bad guys and the messed up Centari (sp?) government and conspiracies were pretty cool. I don't remember the conspiracies ever being resolved, but I could be wrong.

killerjoejoe 08-09-2003 09:41 PM

Ya....Futurama was good

agentsmith 08-09-2003 09:50 PM

Xfiles, but if they cancelled Futurama, then that.

Beltruckus 08-09-2003 10:01 PM

Family guy, and Firefly.

hahaha 08-24-2003 06:58 PM

Family guy and freaks and geeks. Freaks and geeks needs to be released on DVD.

ShtE Luck 08-24-2003 07:03 PM

Lexx.. corny scifi verging on soft core porn, vanished to the dark realms of late night sci fi channel.

djtestudo 08-24-2003 09:07 PM

Family Guy, and Homicide: Life on the Street.

Fremen 08-25-2003 02:02 AM

An 80's cartoon starring space-going Texas Rangers from a planet called New Texas. (I think)
They touched their badges and got these powers that helped them kick major ass.
I can't remember the fricken name, though!

Married with Children is my all time favorite show. Since my life was a parallel of Al's life, it was like them cancelling my life.

BigDonkey2 08-25-2003 04:12 PM

Baldrick 08-25-2003 06:13 PM

Damn! willisfrits beat me to it with Get a Life. :)

I wish I had every episode of these ones on DVD, I could cancel cable!

V - the series.
Sledge Hammer
Max Headroom
Get a Life

Cicero 08-25-2003 07:26 PM

Seinfeld – what do you mean they ran out of material?

Night Court – cast full of comedians all playing off of Markie Post being the straight man, er.. woman.

I can’t remember the title, it was on in the mid 90’s, about four or five young women interning as nurses in the northwest. Probably in Portland or Seattle. Lots of tight nurses’ outfits. One of the nurses was named Montana, because that’s where she was from. I noticed that it was a common thing for a lacey bra to be peaking through those nurse outfits, great spank material if you didn’t have cable.

PerfectStranger 08-25-2003 09:34 PM

Family Guy
Futurama
Andy Richter Controls the Universe

Wow. Screw you Fox.

K-Wise 08-25-2003 09:36 PM

Freeks and Geeks and Get a Life most definitely ...

The A-Team
Magnum P.I.
Knight Rider

Aaron0000 08-27-2003 12:41 AM

Family Guy

Kaos 08-27-2003 08:33 AM

Freaks & Geeks / Undeclared
Andy Richter
The Lone Gunman
Fastlane

Most of the other shows have been mentioned. And especially in regards to the Lone Gunman and Fastlane, I think we can all agree that any show that gets moved to Friday is doomed to be cancelled within a month.

I don't know who the fuck has the neilsen boxes, but I swear, any "Smart Comedy" (F & G, Undeclared, etc) doesn't have a chance. Anyone with an IQ lower than 100 should not have a neilsen box.

Also Titus comes to mind.

oberon 09-05-2003 04:45 PM

I've seen a few "Married with Children" episodes recently (first saw it in the early 1990's). It wasn't a bad show, but I didn't think it was all that great.

bigjule 09-05-2003 04:50 PM

I really liked the flash. Has anyone else heard that there is a comic book based cable channel coming out?

jeenyus_one 09-06-2003 08:32 AM

Venus gets plastered while Dr. Johnnie's reaction time gets faster. I think that is the single funniest episode of a sit com EVER...

Of note and something that was cancelled before I was ready for it to be was:

Northern Exposure

The most creatively done show I have ever seen.

I was also quite partial to:

The Greatest American Hero

Can't forget Magmun PI...that was one cool ass mother fucker.

And last but not least...

Herman's Head, this show had me in stiches.

Lunchbox7 09-11-2003 07:08 PM

I cant believe no one has said 'Monkey'. That is like the best show of all time. Im still in mourning by the departure of Buffy. Ive also recently discovered both Roswell and Pretender. Im pretty upset that Ive seen all those episodes now.

Freaks and Geeks was one of my favorites. NBC never gave it a chance. I swear they moved it atleast 4 times so nobody knew when it was going to be on.

Does anyone know where we can buy episodes of these great shows that have been cancelled?

I'd love to get all the episodes of 'Profit' starring Adrian Pasdar.
I've done a couple searches, but didn't come up with anything.
Please let me know if you can find it.

I don't like Family Guy (Yeah, I know I'm by far in the minority as far as that show goes.), but for those of you that do...

One more vote for Family Guy and Futurama. Also, another vote for MTV's "The State". I think that was the last time I watched MTV regularly.

Lastly, even though it sucked by it's final season, I hated to see Millennium go. Season 1 was some of the best stuff I've ever seen on network tv.

Nimbletoe 10-01-2003 03:15 PM

Baywatch =(

T-Prime 10-26-2003 07:45 PM

Oh God, great thread :)

Undergrads - picked up the DVD, watching the last episode makes me want to scream at MTV for dropping it, and not making a second season!
seaQuest DSV - Great show, too bad Sci-Fi dropped its syndication (or have they?)
Undressed - I was one of those younger teens who watched the show, liked it, but never admitted to anyone that I watched it in the first place :-P
VR Troopers - I loved buying the toys from that series!
DuckTales - Oh common... a classic!

jam161 - my girlfriend tells me about that show alot, but I've never seen it... I'd sure like to know where I could find episodes too!
