These days, the only things I go out of my way to watch are Samurai Jack, Dead Like Me, Iron Chef, and Gary the Rat, but I'll add football to that once the season gets rolling. But not on Monday. Madden blows goats. I have pictures.

Cable TV? Only one real show I've been watching, The Wire on HBO. There isn't much else because everything else now is repeats.

Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!" |

Stargate SG-1 if you get the Sci Fi channel. It is the best sci-fi show ever. Like most sci-fi though, you need to watch it all from the beginning to actually know what's going on.
Family Guy on Cartoon Network (i think that's the channel) is hilarious. Skip the reality TV stuff, its like 99.5% extreme crap. |

Old thread, but what the hell...
Monster Garage -- they do amazing stuff to people's houses, and I like watching blue collar types bicker together. Discovery Good Eats -- best food show on television. Funny and educational. Food Network Stargate SG-1. I like science fiction anyway, but this is also almost a comedy at times. Like somebody said, you have to watch it from the beginning to understand it. But Sci-Fi shows the first five seasons in four-episode blocks each Monday evening, in order. So just wait until the beginning rolls around and start there. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Like it a lot, but I think they need new gay guys. The current ones use the same schtick every week, and it's getting a little old. Bravo The Dead Zone, when it's on. USA Trading Spaces, but mainly for Frank Bielec. TLC. Garry Schandling reruns on Bravo -- never saw them before. I don't have pay cable, so I have to skip all those. Used to like Junkyard Wars, but the American version now officially sucks. |

Monster Garage is great, as well. They take stock vehicles and transform them to make them perform tasks, like a doughnut maker, a lawnmower, a streetsweeper, and other more cool things. The deal is, they still have to look stock.

most of the shows that air from 10-11 on comedy central
I have lost all faith in other chanels, sometimes catching some spike tv goodness. The appeal of the average sitcom has faded for me, too much bullshit piled into most of them for my likings |

Nip/Tuck - I'm not sure why I like it, but it keeps me interested. Third Watch - Not necessarily only on cable, but it is a good show |

if you get tech tv with your cable package, i don't think you should ever have to watch anything else. I mean
Robot Wars - gotta be the best, grungiest show to have a good laugh at X Play - a good show for gaming, not much for t3h funny though TechLive - good for news about stuff going on in the world of technology The Screensavers - these guys are awesome, they're teaching the world not to be so fuckin stupid about computers and related items. I love it.

Alright if someone was holding a gun to my head asking me to choose between either The OC or American Idol I don't know what I'd do. Don't laugh! haha
Along with those, it's definately The Real World, Newlyweds (funny shit), American Chopper, Forensic Files (and the fact that I don't get CourtTV right now is killing me) and The Apprentice. |

Sigh...I miss cable TV. We get AFN here, and all the shows are a season behind.
When I'm visiting home, though, I'm all about VH1 (huge Behind the Music and I Love the 80s fan), Comedy Central (especially the stand-up), and the Discovery Channel. I'll usually catch a few Buffy reruns as well, but fX cuts them all to hell to make room for more commercials.
