Ok did a quick search, didnt find any other topics on this, so here goes.

Anyone into this show? It comes on HBO on Sundays. During the first season, i didnt really watch it, but caught the reruns when they came on and I loved it. Now Im addicted to it, waiting for each new episode of the second season. It really is a great show, with great writing and acting. Anyone else like it?

They just started showing it here. First season. I watched the third episode on Saturday.

I have to agree with you on both counts. The writing is very good. It doesn't feel like a cop show with shoot 'em ups and the like. It is more about the day to day business of patrolling the streets and putting the bad guys away.

I like the fact that it gives equal time to the drug dealers and drug runners. The main characters are human, flawed.

I like how the pace too. It is quieter and has less exposition that consists of talking. You watch and find stuff out. Showing not telling.

One of better shows on TV I think.

I watched this show last season and wondered if andhow they would pull off another season. They seem to be doing pretty well again. I mised it this week and am trying to catch rerrun.

yeah, i was wondering how the title 'the wire' would work in the 2nd season considering the orginal wiretap and case is no more, but as the episodes go by, you see everything coming together hehe.

I watched it the first season and I loved it. I think that what I really liked about it was the realness of the characters. A lot of times when movies try to portray the inner city type of character they do a really bad job. This show was so appealing to me because it was so real.

I haven't really watched the second season to much, but I'm a bit more aprehensive. Am I right in that it takes place in a shipyard?

Its one of the best Tv shows. the second season started slow but its going great now.

It sort of takes place in a shipyard, prison, and the projects. hehe everything is going to be linked together
