First things first-sorry if this isn't the right place for this, or if this belongs in an existing thread (I did a few searches, but it's easy to miss something, I'm sure) If either of those are the case, please let me know (/me points to rookie tag)

That out of the way, I was wondering if anyone else has read Something From the Nightside , by Simon R Green (probably best known for his Deathstalker series).

I've got to say, this is a book that I've been wanting since I began to read. I detective noir story set in a seedy under (other?) world. He seems to of achieved a great balance between story, flavor, and the mandatory bit of cheese. Reads wonderfully fast, too, and is novella length. While probably not the best book I've read in recent years, it might very well be the most enjoyable.

Anyway, I guess I just wanted to hear anyone elses opinion on the book, and recommend it to those that haven't read it.
