Paul McCartney vs Ted Nugent
I found this on Drudge this morning, and then it disappeared.
Quote:
Then I brought it up with Grancey and she sided with Sir Paul. Her opinion is that if Paul is paying the salary, then he gets to make the terms. And if the roadies knew the terms, agreed to them, and still broke them, then they deserved to get fired. According to her, if you're not comfortable with the terms, then don't take the job. EDIT: I thought I put this thing in Music, but I obviously goofed and put it here in Entertainment. So when I started constructing a PM to a mod asking it to be moved, I couldn't figure out where it belongs. Music? Politics? Living? Cooking? Or is it right at home in Entertainment?

We the little people are the targets of the elite since we can't be trusted to think for ourselves in their opinion. The problem lies in part that too many people feel rather than think when making decisions about who leads us, speak for us, etc.

I think the nuge is confused about conservatives. Apparently, hugo chavez, hillary clinton, and paul mccartney are the only threats to individual freedoms.
He presumably likes the current republican establishment, which means that when it comes to supporting "live and let live" he's full of shit. |

Yeah, liberal/conservative generalizations almost always turn out to be crap. This op-ed's theme is no exception.
Paul's certainly in the right, legally, and should be. I liken this to the threads about smoking, prescribing contraceptives, espousing political views in the workplace, ect. - the employer should be the decider. Morally, though, he's still a prick.

On the other hand, I think it's a dumbass rule. How do what your employees eat affect you? Shouldn't you be tolerant while attempting to sway them to your way of thinking?

I don't know - I stopped reading at "great Republic of Texas."
I lived in Texas for over 5 years, which makes it even harder for me to understand why Texans are so full of themselves. If you're going to begin your monologue by elevating yourself above the other 49 states, where's my motivation to listen?
