What all do you shave?
So, I got to thinking about it, and I realised that I shave a lot of my body. I shave my legs (up to my knees most days), everything in the nether regions, my armpits, my nipples, my feet, and part of my tummy.

The usual- Legs, underarms, and Bikini- tho I leave a substantial patch of hair for a "landing pad." I shave everything 1" above my clit all the way to the back.

Just legs (all the way up to my upper thighs. one wouldn't think hair grew in all different directions until you try and get it off your thighs), underarms, everything between my legs. My hair gets lighter in the summer (a light blonde) so I don't really worry about my arms and what not....

Nipples?
It all comes off from the ankles to the hips and then armpits. I'm slightly lackadaisical about it, though and sometimes go 2 or 3 days between. The hair on my arms is sparse and it blondes in the summer. And, bonus, ladies-as you get older all that hair thins out!

I'm lucky in that I don't have a lot of body hair, and what I DO have is very light strawberry blonde.

Everything below the waist (sometimes leaving a small bit of pubes if I don't feel like shaving daily), armpits, I tweeze those black hairs that pop up around my areolas from time to time, and I tweeze any that crop up between my eyebrows or near my mouth. I've never had enough hair on my arms to care about it - and it's all really light blond anyway. My skin is REALLY sensitive and I have a hard time finding products that won't leave me raw. Anybody suggest anything? Regular shaving cream/foam is okay for legs and underarms, but still leave my nethers irritated. I tried some powder once and it worked okay - men's hair removal stuff for beards. You mix it into a pulp, apply, then scrape it off (I used a credit card). Smells awful and didn't get all the hair so I ended up shaving anyway...

I shave my legs and the tops of my toes and my underarms. I use the trimmers on my nether regions, because I absolutely hate the itch when it grows back. A nice #1 trimmer shield cuts it so close that it looks bare, but leaves it just long enough that its through my skin. I don't get ingrown hairs down there anymore, either, since I started using the trimmers.
I have an endocrine disorder, so I have hair that grows in a lot of other not-so-feminine areas... I get a few around my nipples like some of y'all do, and I usually pluck those. I have to shave under my jaw (I can't afford laser, and my skin's too sensitive for any sort of chemical or waxing in that area). A girl in the salon where I go waxes my eyebrows and upper lip. I leave the hair on my arms alone, its blonde anyway.

My Dr told me that in order to avoid the ingrown hairs in her pubic area that her dermatologist suggested she rub on some antibacterial ointment after shaving. I've found that it helps if I do that. If I put it on for about 2-3 days I have no ingrown hairs. Works great.
I should have maybe been more specific before - I don't shave feet or other areas. I do shave: legs, armpits, areola (there aren't that many there but I can't stand tweezing there) pubic area, I do pluck the occaisional stray hair between my brows and there is one black hair that grows under my chin from a scar and one black hair that grows quite long and curly on my left forearm. So I pluck those. Any other both hair is blond and soft so not a problem.

I guess I'm the odd one out. I despise shaving my pubic area, so I don't do it often. I get more yeast infections when I shave for some reason, and the regrowth itch makes me crazy. I shave my legs and my armpits, and during the summer, the tops of my feet because I live in sandals. Shaving my stomach or my arms has never even crossed my mind, even though I have dark body hair. I hate shaving, and I've been known to not shave my legs during the winter for a couple of weeks. Good thing hubby loves me, hair and all.

In the winter, I can go *months* without shaving my legs/pits (unless I go to the gym, then it's 1-2 times a week maybe). Summertime it's a little more often, but not more than twice a week EVER. Ya shoulda seen me in Africa last summer... 2 months of no management anywhere. It was fantastic. My bf doesn't care one way or the other which I appreciate so much. He gets excited if I happen to shave my pubic area (which is a few times a year ) but he never really cares otherwise, as long as I keep it trimmed somewhat. It's not like I enjoy having body hair, but I don't care enough about it to put much energy into it. I get irritated enough just having to pluck my friggin' eyebrows a couple times a week, and bleach my upper lip a couple times a month (if I'm motivated... otherwise I just let it go and not care). Okay, everyone on this thread probably thinks I'm a 3-eyed ogress or something. Aren't there any other women out there who are low-maintenance about their body hair?

Well, I guess I should've been more clear in my original post. As my SO will inform you...that list only gets done about once a month in the winter, haha. It occurs more as we move towards summer.
In summer it's a lot more often because 1) I'm wearing a lot more swimwear, and if I DIDN'T shave my bikini area...well, it would be scary and 2) I LOVE the way my legs look when they're shaved and well-moisturized. Oh yeah...and I DO have to pluck my eyebrows. One look at my picture from 8th grade and you will see why.

I _love_ that freshly shaved, smooth feeling. And I love the reaction it gets from hubby, too. I didn't mention in my previous post, but I really don't shave that often. My skin is SO sensitive that if I tried to shave daily it would literally be a bloody, painful mess. I have to let a little itchy regrowth come in before pulling out the gel. I'd say that, at most, I shave twice a week. When hubby spent a year in Korea I shaved maybe twice. I don't wear make-up (except the occasional lipstick for going out) and I don't even own a blow-dryer. I'm really not very high maintenance, honest. I just hate being hairy. Some months I get positively OCD about it and will pluck hairs that didn't really need it just because they bother me...
