I am trying to record something with a Magnavox DVD Player/Recorder MWR 10D6 and i am using a cheap universal remote that was like $10. I am unable to change the quality speed that it records at. Would anyone be able to help Me? Maybe refer a certain model of universal remote and where i can get one. Thanks Alot in advance.

Hello! I've been lurking around tfp for quite a bit now mostly reading the engaging conversations that go on here when I have free time to kill. It’s getting so tempting to jump in lately so might as well. =)

Thanks for welcoming me into this cozy little chit-chat village, your good people. I'm looking forward to whatever strange, intelligent, dumb, funny, boring, erotic, twisted, naive, private, out of touch, self centered, bitchy, corny, honest things that are and will be discussed around here. Let it be said that I'm gonna challenge things I think are wrong and I'm gonna write things I believe to be true but in no way will do I think I'll be in the right every time. I know what I know from listening to those who knew things I didn't. Thanks for reading my babble.

New Member Confused About Back Treatment

Hi Everyone - I was recently diagnosed with severe degenerative Stenosis in the lower Lumbar area of the Spine. I get shooting pains in my right calf as well. I'm totally confused about which treatment to do. Some people say I should do the DRX9000 machine which costs $3900 for the full treatment. Another chiropractor uses the Pettibon Method. Then there are Osteopaths. I don't know which is better and they all seem so expensive. Any advice out there for my situation. Thanks

Good afternoon. Naked dog lady here. I found this place looking for 'offensive Jesus jokes' - some of which continued their travels (I nicked yer jokes). Am involved in animal stuff - I found on the road in life, that those with too big a heart give and give, and those who use their brain instead, they have. Heart has always ruled head I am afraid, but I have some sudden smiles as unbidden memories of wee dogs we have helped on the road in life leap, funnily enough, to the inner corners of my eyes. Love them all, the biters, the headshy, the abandoned. Does give one a darker view of humanity when you are helping these wee bits of flotsom. I dont have an avatar yet. Maybe one of the dogs. You honestly dont want one of the NDL as although I am a gorgeous 18yr old leggy blonde virgin, I am also a compulsive liar.
Off for a pootle, a wander around the boards now I have taken the first leap.

Random Hair 04-18-2011 10:41 AM

Thanks, is there some kind of initiation?
Do I have to drink a glass of Site Administrator piss, while you all chant “One of us! One of us! Google Gaggle! Google Gaggle”?
Not that I’m into piss or anything, I’m just really into chanting, and I’m not one to turn down a free pint of Fosters.

I got the message after you left that burning cross in my front garden!
And I’m not even black!
God woman!

The_Jazz 04-18-2011 10:43 AM

No initiations. But you do need to learn to use the quote feature properly.

dlish 04-18-2011 11:08 AM

Fosters?

oh god..you're not aussie are you?

you need to drink real aussie beer... XXXX

Random Hair 04-18-2011 01:24 PM

No, English. That's why I compared Fosters to piss, or as they called it in the 90’s ad campaign, “The Amber Nectar”. I’ll expanded that category of drink to include XXXX, Millers, Coors and Bud.

What’s the proper use of the quote function? All I can see is a tick box.

If you're using the default "green" skin, then you'll see two boxes in the lower right of every post on the board - "quote" and "quote +". Clicking on the "quote +" button will highlight that button but do nothing more inandof itself. You can click multiple ones if you'd like. If you click the "quote" button, you're taken to the "advanced reply" page automatically with the quoted text already embedded in the reply box. If you clicked any "quote +" for other quotes beforehand, those will be included as well.

Let me know if you're using other skins because the buttons are in other spots.

As it stands, it's difficult tell what's your original text and when you're quoting someone. You're going to be taken a lot more seriously if you learn to use those kinds of basic features. Not using them will just encourage folks to gratually stop reading your posts because you're making them work harder. That's human nature at work.

Random Hair 04-18-2011 02:01 PM

Ah, I got you. I was looking in the reply box.
Thanks Mr The Jazz.

Also, finger-snaps for Cynthetic's duck poetry.

Introducing myself

I have just joined Tilted Forum and have been asked to introduce myself. I have not had time to look around this site yet but my first impression is favourable. I run my own website, which has had over 130,000 visitors to date but is ignored by all the browsers. If you want to see it, you might find it by asking your browser for Garrett Jones LOVE - NOT WAR. I was 82 yesterday but am trying to use what time is left for me to cut though all the irrelevanceies which prevent us from confronting the damnable fact that we have allowed national armies to go on amassing arms for 'defence' even at a time when we are still struggling to emerge from economic disaster; we also resolutely refuse to confront our own bisexuality and the enormous potential this could have for making men far keener to love each other - warmly and wholeheartedly - then to butcher each other, and anyone else who gets in the way. I'm hoping not to be alone.

Hi, everyone! ::waves hello to comply with rules and whatnot::

A little about me, let's see...

I'm a gamer who plays mostly MMOs and RPGs. I also read a lot of horror and Sci-Fi. I work as a writer -- mostly marketing and sales copy, but I promise not to try to sell anyone anything here -- and I work from home, so I may be on the boards at any hour if I settle in.

Also, I registered solely on the basis of the 'do women masturbate' conversation elsewhere on the boards. I figure any place where people will discuss that openly and happily is a good place to be.

dlish 05-05-2011 10:34 AM

welcome to TFP Lanapanda.

except for paedophilia, almost everything else is open for discussion, so feel free to open up any topic you like, or join an existing one.

Hi Mindy - do you still have romance and kindness? Before you married, when you first dated - I bet the pair of you spent ages getting ready for dates 'in case'. Although there is a great deal to be said for the comfort of old slippers - think youre not that old yet. Do you compliment each other? Its easy to forget such things - I think every girl deserves to have a princess day now and then - and every boy too - but undefr a different name I guess. Enjoy yourself here.

New to TFP

I came across the forum via a search and was immediately struck by the quality and variety of the threads. I love the idea of smart people talking about some of the most interesting issues/activities/desires/troubles/joys we experience as humans, yet often don't have the right...um, forum to explore them in. Sorry, awkward sentence.

I read a book last summer "The Dawn of Sex" which I thought was very interesting. It came, for me, right after I'd read "Born to Run" about the barefoot running movement. My conclusions: humans are born to run and born to f***. But I look forward to a more thoughtful conversation about that than my last sentence might indicate.

I'm getting older and feel more enlightened, thanks to a relatively new partnership, a second marriage, which has created a wonderful opportunity for adventure and exploration - both intellectually and physically, and artistically, in a way.

Not sure what else to say by way of introduction, but hope to be able to read and post with some regularity.

ola 05-12-2011 11:27 AM

Hi there!

I don't usually introduce myself in forums, but i guess i could go for it (quickly, it's late) this time.

I found this forum with google by accident, maybe a week ago. I noticed that it has a large userbase and a good ammount of intriguing discussions. After looking back today i couldn't resist registering.

Ok, so this wasn't actually an introduction at all. I guess that comes in time.

Baraka_Guru 05-12-2011 12:40 PM

warren ellis 05-14-2011 12:12 AM

Thankyou for your warm welcome, and I expect to be able to contribute to community members, where I can - and will. :)

Lorelai 05-14-2011 12:39 PM

Greetings!

I found this place because a search hit on a rather insightful thread in a subforum here so I introduced myself there first, but here I am to check in and let you know a bit about me. I'm 31, I work in the technical support field, and am very lucky to have a good job in this economy. No kids but one very spoiled cat. In the process of moving -- found a much better place for me at the same rent as I am paying now. It has hardwood floors instead of carpet (much better for pets), an extra half bathroom, and the kicker was a gas stove. I grew up cooking on gas, it's what I prefer.

I look forward to seeing many more insightful discussions on here!

Me - The newbie..

Just found this site about an hour ago and thought...That's for me. Now what I ask myself. Well, I was reading the threads on swinging... I've been a swinger all my life but have only been with straight men for some reason. I think my upbringing says I need to be straight so I keep trying but it doesn't work. I always end up breaking up with them for whatever reasons but one of the truths is I get bored sexually with just 1 man. There goes my alter ego saying, "You should be ashamed!" Truth is now that I'm older... I'm not ashamed.

It's what I like.. It's gratifying. It turns me on. Don't get the wrong impression. I don't sleep around although I did in my teens and loved it but that was a long time ago. These days and for the last 15 years I can count the number of men I've been with on one hand. Women on the other hand in my lifetime.

I like women too. OMG! I said it.. I only said it cuz you don't know who I am. If most of my friends or family knew it they'd probably disown me or do they maybe like women too? Even better, I like a woman and a man at the same time. Wow! I'm really coming clean here. The only ones who know this about me are the ones I've been intimate with.

My boyfriend and I just broke up 2 months ago. I had to twist his arm to do the wild thing with my best friend and I. Can you belive that! I had to twist his arm. I guess I should have felt lucky but really I wanted him to love it but he didn't. It was ultimately our demise. Ho hum...

Looking for a couple to be with. I need to get to know you A LOT online, on the fone, facebook etc. before we ever meet cuz there are waaaaayyy to many weirdos/murderers/freaks out there.

I live in Houston. I'm a happy person. Smart, loyal, have a sense of humor, educated and sensitive. Looking for the same. I'm so happy there is a site like this for freaks like me.

Am I crazy? Maybe but it sure has been a blast. I have loved my life and would not change a thing. I believe in GOD and karma. I try never to cross the two.

G'nite..

Kathryn

Hi, bi_girl and welcome to the TFP. A few of us are confused about how to take this introductory post. Do you think we're a dating site? Are you here to try to hook up?

We're definitely not a dating site - we do have our fair share of couples (and triads) - but they didn't come here looking specifically for that. We're really a discussion site with no real taboos about topics.

We'd love for you to join in the discussion, but we don't want you to expect the wrong thing.

The only way I can think of is to go to swinger clubs. I've only been to one and it was waaaaay wild but really, really fun. I've looked it up and while it seems some of them are too wild for me, I do have a couple girl-friends that use it and have made good friends from it. I guess it's like any other site. The club I went too had a party given by them.

I'd definately go again.

Welcome, Ford!

Hi I'm Steve. 22 year old male with 2 1/2 years of Electrical Engineering who likes Roleplaying games, food, has chrones disease and follows the SCD diet and has done awesome with it..

I wanted to lurk but the site said I had to register to read stuff so here I am. Looks like a good place to read sex advice(which lead me here), and general life advice(always interesting). I'll probably never ask for much and just read through other people's threads instead but if you call me out into conversation I'll participate.

welcome Queastor.

we have engineers, roleplay fans and crohns sufferers here, so feel free to look around, and dont be afraid to dive in and participate.

I'd be interested to see what you have to say about the SCD diet. I have family who suffer from Crohns and colitis, and ive seen what they go through.

Hi! Bad Love Leather here. Is there someplace I can share my leatherwork here? I make really cool leather cuffs.

Well, that depends. If you're not trying to sell anything, there's Tilted Life or Tilted Sexuality, depending on what it is. But my guess is that you're going to try to sell things, which is going to get you labeled a spammer pretty quickly. It's a fine line, but if you want to try to walk it, go ahead. Just don't be surprised if you end up banned and your threads deleted if you cross it.

So I'm pretty much stoked that I found this website. I've got all sorts of stuff to talk about...well maybe, we'll see how that goes.

Any way, I've been looking for a while now for a forum that I can have a decent conversation with people on. Neopets just isn't doing it for me any more..hahaha That was a joke ;)

I stumbled here by complete luck. I was doing some searching on a company I might work for and there was a topic here....it made me laugh.

Nice to meet every one!

Hello TFP

Hey everyone. I guess it's time for me to introduce myself. My name is Nikki. I'm 23 for a couple more weeks. I'm not all that great with words when I need to be, but I'm trying to work on that. I'm excited to meet everyone and discuss life with new people.
