When working as a lifeguard, I had a kid ask me what time it was.

"Quarter to 2:00" was my reply.

Kid says - "I'm not too smart, can you tell me that in metric ?"

"1:45, says I."

"OK - Thanks" and the kid was back in the pool.

In a big meeting someone actually said "I haven't seen the design for the item yet, but don't worry, I can fix it"

BTW This guy was talking about something I spent a long time designing. I never spoke to him again.

Crazy

A user at my workplace called asking why his computer wouldn't turn on. He had a docking station with a monitor. Turns out that he had left the laptop at his vacation home in martha's vinyard and thought he could just turn on the monitor and start typing away. As I explained that his laptop was his computer he just gave me this lost look and said, "So I need that?"

These just have to be stupid, not funny, right?

Former Job-Radio Shack
A man came into Radio Shack and asked for a special screwdriver to open a specific electronic device. He had a screw from it, and needed the tool to match. It was a screw like the kind they use to hold together video game controllers, with 7 notches around an otherwise round head. I explained to him that it's a very uncommon tool, and he would be best off checking the computer store down the street because we didn't carry it.

A normal person would've thanked me for the advice and left.

He started ranting about how, "Nobody will sell you anything to do with electronics these days, they think you're a terrorist."

That was stupid enough, but he really shocked me with this next part, in front of about a dozen customers. He continued, "Look at me, do I look like a terrorist? I'm pale white. You can see the top of my head. You know, maybe Hitler had something right. We should clone him, tell him do do something about all the Arabs."

I decided that a violation of standard operating procedure would be appropriate and told him to get teh hell out of the store.

I can't believe people are stupid enough to say things like that in public.

Maybe not stupid, but weird.

I was interning at a company doing tech work while at school. So I was talking past a set of cubicles and heard,

"So that's when I decided to stop showering every day..."

I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around. Saw two guys, in mid 30's talking to each other. They didn't notice me, but I kept going back to that phrase all day.

I want to know why he decided to stop showering every day!!
