My friend met that girl that used to be the Pepsi girl.

I've met Sir David Attenborough, a famous naturalist and broadcaster of wildlife videos. He was pretty funny.

I live in Orange County, California (save the cheesy TV show jokes) and I meet and run into "celebrities" all the time where I live. The little hole in the wall bar, walking distance from my house, is the regular drinking spot for a lot of known people like musicians from Kotton Mouth Kings, Lit, Papa Roach, and some other random bands. Also a lot of pro skaters and bikers will stumble in there to hang out. I met Randy Couture (he is an Ultimate Fighter who is fighting Tito Ortiz Sept 26th for the championship title) and is suprisingly a likeable nice guy. For anybody who is a skatebarding fan, last night Jonus Wray bought me 2 'shoot the roots' at the bar :).

I also have season Laker tickets (Hal has seen pics of my sweet seats :)) and for anybody who is star struck, a playoff laker game is the place to be.

tj2001cobra 08-28-2003 06:25 PM

I used to play tennis with Pat Green (Country Singer) when we were in the 10-15 year old range.

I've thrown down more than a few beers with Shannon Elizabeth in high school. Her name back then was Shannon Fadal but she dropped her last name and is now using her middle name as her last name.

I met Marily Manson back stage at a Nine Inch Nails concert back in 92 or 93 before he was popular. He opened for NIN and I thought he was disgusting. He had some long dildo-looking thing in his leather pants that was approx 24 inches long that he kept swinging around.

I was sitting on the riverwalk in San Antonio and Kevin Costner passed by with his kids and wife.

I said hi to Sinbad (the comic) in an airport once.

I've been to alot of concert and have been backstage a ton so I know there are more I am forgetting.

Johnny Rotten 08-28-2003 08:58 PM

I've met Ray Bradbury, Robert Silverberg, Ursula LeGuin, and Chris Taylor (president of Gas Powered Games, lead designer on the Dungeon Siege games).

messy 08-28-2003 09:05 PM

Talk to Will Clark (Baseball legend) quite often. We share the same boat marina here in Louisiana. Will loves his fishing almost as much as myself.

Really nice guy.

Suprisingly?! No way. There was no doubt in my mind that this guy was total class. Never met him myself, but you can tell he is extremely down-to-earth.

Big fan

kwIII 08-28-2003 09:11 PM

I met the guy who played Bakala on the Sopranos at a hotel bar here in NC, he is much smaller in person. He wore a fat suit in the first threee seasons. A couple of the girls had pics taken with him, he seemed like a pretty cool guy.

sakvee 08-29-2003 12:30 AM

I met the whole Liverool Football club at training in the mid nineties. Bloody fantastic it was.

Rodney 08-29-2003 06:41 AM

Mostly old science fiction writers, Ronald Reagan, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Reagan: got his autograph and a hearty handshake back in the'70s at a Boy's State convention in California. Actually don't like him, but he had real balls: stood up and told a crowd of 1000 horny high school seniors that abstinence was the only real birth control. We knew a master bullshitter when we saw one, and gave him a standing ovation. His hair was orange from a bad dye job.

The old science fiction writers:
Harlan Ellison (several times)
Robert Silverberg (house sat for him once, my wife and I slept in his bed)
Roger Zelazny, Michael Moorcock, Poul Anderson, Greg Bear, Fritz Leiber (a real gent, visited him at home), Theodore Sturgeon (he had a goat on his lap), Jerry Pournelle (drunk both times), Heinlein (just a handshake), William F. Nolan (wrote the original book "Logan's Run") and a bunch of others who may possibly be famous now but I stopped reading sf 20 years ago and wouldn't know.

Arnold I met at the grand opening of a gym in my home town. He was buddies with the gym owner, old time bodybuilding champ Dave Draper, who I do know fairly well.

Walter Mondale : congratulated him on a speech he'd just given, but that won't mean anything to you unless you were voting in the '80s or live in Minnesota. He has a limp fish handshake, by the way.

Performance artist Mark Pauline of Survival Research Lab. Went over to his warehouse once and he started up a few (moderately nondestructive) death machines for me.

Haven't met anyone even moderately famous in 10 years. Guess I don't get out much anymore.

My friend and I when we lived in toronto used to go to the airport a day or two before the differnt musical acts played. Sometimes we got lucky and saw someone, sometimes we bought a bunch of overpriced airport food.

Shania Twain = Both from northern Ontario, talked for 2 minutes.
Lene Nystrom = Signed an autograph (has the sexiest accent).
Good Charolette = From about 50 feet.
Sheryl Crow = HOT!!!
Gwen Stephani = Freaking ass!!! Wanted the whole terminal cleared so she didnt have to deal with fans.

And Jean Cretien (Prime Minister)
Mike Harris ( Former Ontario Premier)

That`s about it!

HughHugh 09-01-2003 08:30 PM

I've met Teresa of Calcutta, she only stood to the shoulders of most people in the room, but she's got a holiness thing nailed down, this woman knows how to work the crowd man

insect2003 09-01-2003 11:01 PM

i met t-mac and iverson on the street one day in nyc

metrodub 09-02-2003 07:29 AM

Living here in Richmond, VA doesn't afford one the luxury of seeing or meeting many celebrities, but I've met and hung out with a few.

Anthony Hopkins
Julianne Moore
Dave Matthews and the band (actually hung out with them all day and night before they were big)
Ben Affleck - was actually down to earth
Sandra Bullock - she was fun...and loves to dance
Penn and Teller
Everclear
Zoe Britton (adult/exotic dancer)

George W. Bush - met him at the ESPNZone in Baltimore when they used to do the live pre-show/halftime show on Monday Night Football. He was at the table next to my wife and I and some friends. We were there watching the Cowboys/Giants game. He was nice.

Frank Gifford - same event at the ESPNZone. He was standing near the bar and when my wife was getting a beer. She said hi but he didn't respond to her and shrugged her off. Needless to say...prick.

Chris Berman - again at the ESPNZone...extremely nice and loves his beer. Hung out and talked to him for a while and slung one back with him. Really big guy as well.

Jason Mraz - singer with a pretty modest hit on the radio these days. He's from the Richmond area and was crashing at an apartment across the hall from my brother. Met him right before his record came out. Pretty cool guy.

Lil Kim - short is an understatement. She actually has a funny sense of humor.

Sean Barber - linebacker for the Chiefs. Met him when he was with the Skins. He is good friends with one of my old co-workers and was in the office/radio station hanging out. Told him I was a Cowboys fan and thought the Skins sucked. Needless to say, I had a nice bruise on my arm. All in fun of course.

Fat Joe - yeah, he's fat.

Various country music stars...but I hate country music, so I couldn't tell you who they were.

tenchi069 09-02-2003 07:37 AM

Met Johnny Cash in Vanderbilt Hospital when i was there for a collapsed lung when I was about 8. Didn't ask for an autograph cause he was visiting family that was in there, but I said hello to him and he said hello back. Not much of a meeting, but still cool.

frankx 09-02-2003 09:19 AM

I've actually met Colin Powell and Oliver North in an official capacity.

When I lived in L.A., I saw celebs all the time. A short list:

Arnold Schwarzeneggar and Linda Hamilton (while filming T2)

Betty White (Golden Girls). She smiled and waved back.

Magic Johnson

Sylvester Stallone (surprisingly short in real life)

Henry Rollins (I shook hands with him, but didn't really get to talk to him. He seemed pretty cool.)

Axl Rose, when GNR were extremely popular (Personal note: Quite possibly the biggest asshole walking the planet. Not at all nice to the people who were handling him at that particular moment, and just plain rude to his fans who just wanted his autograph. Sure, everyone can have a bad day, but this could possibly help explain why not many people buy GNR albums anymore).

I saw Richard Simmons in the airport in Charlotte, N.C. a month or so ago. Ten minutes later, I saw Arn Anderson (WWE wrestler). Talk about going from one extreme to another! They were both in a hurry, and I don't collect autographs anyway, so I left them alone. However, Richard Simmons was gracious enough to stop and sign autographs and talk to a few people.

I met Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton and Jessica Corbin at a Screen Savers taping in July in SF. They were all super nice people.

I have met several local celebs in New Orleans. I've met Paul Prudhomme more than once. I have also met Emeril Lagasse (nice guy). I have seen Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails around a couple of times but never met him.

I have never actually met John Goodman, but I know his wife and her family.

Homosaurus 09-02-2003 09:55 AM

Let me tell you about the time I met Mr. T...

That's just fucking awesome, Jim Varney is the man.

I met Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones at Warped Tour 97 [Asbury Park, NJ]. My brother used to tell me stories of when the Bosstones were still underground [my brother went to Boston U for a year] -- Dicky used to hit on my brother's friend.

Salman Agah [pro skater], Warped Tour 97. Same with Andy MacDonald.

When Less Than Jake came through Jersey [before they hit the "bigtime"], I got to talk to them after a set. Really fucking . Same with Lifetime [legendary hardcore] -- my brother once auditioned to be their bassist

If any of you know who Midtown is, I met them when they were starting up ^_^ I lived near New Brunswick, NJ.

If it counts for anything, my girlfriend's met a couple of suicide girls [pic -- girlfriend is in the middle] at the Warped Tour and the vocalist from Rufio asked her to the movies :o

merkerguitars 09-04-2003 09:30 PM

Yeah most celebs are pricks. I wanted to meet Steven Van Zandt (related to the lead singer of lynyrd skynyrd I believe) his band was playing near my hometown and my dad said don't meet him...he'll just shove you off. I wish I could of met some celebs that some of my dads friend did, like when ozzy was looking for a new guitarist this my dad knew was the 2nd choice...ozzy flew him out to england for the final auditions....damn that would rule.

cowudders14 09-05-2003 02:40 AM

I had a *really* bizarre dream last night that I was on a coach with Bill Gates. I guess I'm spending too long in front of the computer...

In real life - I've got a signed book from Terry Pratchett - I went to a talk he and Jack Cohen gave and he was signing books afterwards.

I've also looked after the children of Cheryl Baker when I was working in the kids play area of a pub near her house. They were remarkably well behaved too!

Dano069 09-08-2003 12:28 PM

This past June, my wife and I won a trip down to the Dale Earnhardt Tribute Concert. We got to meet with Brooks & Dunn, met Michael Waltrip and Hootie and the Blowfish at the welcoming party on Friday and got to talk with Jeff Green and Dale Earnhardt Jr. It was a pretty cool weekend.

slant eyes 09-08-2003 06:57 PM

i set up stages for concerts in so. cal so i see many celebs. mostly rockstars and what not.

michelle kwan - ice skater
tom dumont - guitar for band no doubt
adrian young - drums for band no doubt
walked alongside gwen stefani - vocalist for band no doubt (found out she shaved a certain part of her body once)
billy joe - vocalist for band green day
mike - bass for band green day
brandon, mike, jose, and kris - vocals, guitar, drums and dj for band incubus
pink - pink
brittany spears
shakira
tony hawk - pro skater

can't remember anymore right now

but for the majority of them, they were really nice. billy joe signed a drum stick and so did mike of green day, but he was a total ass about it. the guys from incubus told us to wait somewhere cuz they had to make a phone call, then to my surprise, they were waiting for us at the said spot to sign stuff for us.

hunnychile 09-08-2003 07:50 PM

I got to tour David Byrne around my place of employment at Intecom In Allen, Texas several years ago when I was an illustrator there drawing semicinductor training diagrams (yep, can you say Orthographics?) and David was scouting a place to shoot his movie "Wild Life"/Movie/ Video. He was incredibly sweet and polite and so tall. A really nice man who deserves all his success. Lucky me! Oh and I stood next to Jerry Garcia in a flower shop one day when he was buying pink roses for his girlfriend who lived in Tiburon. He drove the nicest, hottest red Ferrari I've ever seen. Wore the oldest most faded jeans I've ever seen, too. (Natch!) *grin* He seemed really happy. This was only 2 years before he left this planet. Another sweetie. God Bless Jerry!

Some stars deserve the love.

Soggybagel 09-08-2003 08:22 PM

I came face to face with the man, the legend, Bob Saget!! In some LA supermarket...was akward and since he is like 6'4" he towered over me. Many sports stars also.

In other news though my grandmother of all people owned a store where she met plenty of celebrites. ONe funny story though is that she was actually I guess "popular" back in the "day" and has had famous people such as Bob Dole over to eat at her house...crazy!!

seethreepo 09-09-2003 08:55 AM

marc ford ex black crowes
queensryche - entire band
paul rodgers - bad company

jaromir jager
and a few other hockey and soccer players.

krazykemist 09-09-2003 11:41 PM

Nicolas Cage filmed part of his movie 'Sonny' (his directing debut) in front of my office. One of the few people I've ever seen wear all black leather in Louisiana during the Summer. Got to meet him and two of the actors Mena Suvari (American Pie/Beauty/Virgin) and Scott Caan (Varsity Blues).

Met Justin Wilson (Cajun Chef/Storyteller) at a restaurant a few times. Great guy to talk to.

Capt.JamesHook 09-10-2003 10:50 AM

I met and danced with Faith Hill

bollocks 11-13-2003 08:37 AM

Know anyone famous?

Does anyone here know anyone, as a good friend, who's famous?

I guess it all depends on when you believe a person is famous or not, but I leave that to you.

The most famous person I know, is probably Oscar Wakeman, who isn't actually that famous... but his dad is Rick Wakeman, and im pretty much best mates with Oscar. I was out with him last night having a smoke and he was wearing his dad's US tour jacket (signed). How much do you reckon he could get for that?

He's a safe guy.

Averett 11-13-2003 08:44 AM

Who's Rick Wakeman?

I don't know anyone famous.

Batman976 11-13-2003 09:14 AM

I don't know who Rick Wakeman is either, and I also don't know anyone famous. However I have taken classes from professors who's research has been featured on national television and from published authors. It's really not fun taking a class when your teacher is the author of the book. They expect you to know it as well as they do.

GuttersnipeXL 11-13-2003 09:22 AM

No prog rockers here eh? Rick Wakeman played and still does play with the band YES. One of the most kick ass keyboardists in rock history...second only to Keith Emerson...of Emerson, Lake and Palmer...of course that is up for debate.

I know some people in the music industry..that are mildly famous at this point...the names you wouldn't recognize, because they are not publicized too much.

Hey bollocks...ask your buddy Oscar how much he wants foe the jacket, maybe we can work something out!!

Blistex 11-13-2003 09:22 AM

When I went to school in toronto a friend and i used to hang aroud the airport usually a day or two before a musician or a celeb arrived for a concert or an event.

That way we had a 1/10 chance of actually seeing them in an enviroment where we might get to talk to them.

Talked to the Following: (about a minute each)

Shania Twain
Lene Nystrom
Sheryl Crow

Saw the Following: (didn't make any contact)

Paul McCartney
Sylvester Stallone
Anne Heche
Julianne Moore

rockzilla 11-13-2003 03:54 PM

Ottawa Senators Center Radek Bonk used to hang out at a bar I worked in. We weren't friends or anything, but we talked and drank once in a while. That's about the friendliest I've been with anyone considered famous.

My Dad and Dan Aykroyd were pretty good friends in High School, or so he says. I know they went to the same school though.

dogzilla 11-13-2003 04:08 PM

I met Garth Hudson (The Band) a couple times, his wife was friends with my wife a few years back. My wife also worked for Carole King about 30 years ago.

little limey 11-13-2003 04:47 PM

I was on a soccer team (and had the home phone number of) Kevin Costner's daughter Annie.
And I've also talked to Steve Malkmus after one of his shows (no biggie there though, I don't know if many people know who he is).

YzermanS19 11-13-2003 04:48 PM

I'm good friends of the grandaughter of Mel Hancock, the ex-governor of Missouri. I've met him personally.

Also have met Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston once in town at a civic-center basketball game. Sat down right behind me and a friend, and we started talking....pretty interesting people.

spectre 11-13-2003 07:34 PM

I've met Steve Kerr, Isaiah Thomas, Johnny "Red" Kerr, and a few local celebrities. I wouldn't say I'm "good friends" with any celebs though.

Derwood 11-13-2003 07:38 PM

I work for a TV show where I see famous people everyday....I don't "know" any of them, but one very famous celebrity signs my paychecks...

Paul Edinger (kicker for the Chicago Bears) was a kid when I played soccer for his dad. For the last two years I coached his younger brothers and hung out with the family.

The gym I work out in is also the Official Gym of the New Zealand All Blacks™ (the All Blacks are the New Zealand rugby team, in short our entire economy hangs on how well they do in tonight's match) and there are several of them there usually before a game in Wellington. A lot of guys who play for the Wellington Super12 and NPC rugby teams also workout there, even some ex-All Blacks can be spotted there, I've seen Christian Cullen and Jonah Lomu there, just to name a few.

wry1 11-15-2003 01:57 AM

Okay, I've led a somewhat interesting life for a relative "nobody".... here are the folks I either know or have met:

Mike Skupin (from "Survivor", Season 2) ....brother-in-law

Steven Spielberg .... played video games with him and his son at GameWorks

Chris Gore (formerly had a show on FX, contributes to "Rank" on E! and edits "Film Threat" magazine) ....my Uncle

Ice-T (Rapper/Law & Order:SVU star)....Vegas, baby! Vegas.

Jake Plummer (Quarterback for Denver Broncos)....used to run into him at nightclubs in Phoenix area - had casual "hey! wazzup?" relationship (now we both moved, damn)

Travis Claridge (Atlanta Falcons) - lived down the street from me growing up

The following I was fortunate enough to meet through the good graces of a few friends of mine who are DJ's....

Johnny Rzeznic and Rob Takac (of the Goo Goo Dolls)

Alice Cooper

Mark McGrath & the rest of "Sugar Ray"

Well, that's all I can think of right now.

In my industry, I've met literally dozens of stars - predominately "mid-level" movie/TV stars. A few have been extremely arrogant, but most are okay. Some that I was extremely impressed with are Edward James Olmos, Courtney Thorne Smith, Chuck Norris, John Candy, Kevin Smith, and Michael Madsen. Very nice people, and all very down to earth, what you see is what you get people.

Interestingly, most of the uber-jerks have been athletes. Deion Sanders and Pete Rose at the top of that list...

brandon11983 11-15-2003 08:17 AM

With my buddy Jay, I've met DJ Tiesto, the two-time (and current) #1 DJ in the world, and Ferry Corsten, currently the #6 DJ in the world. Man, both those guys are cool as hell. Just doing what they love. We plan on meeting the other 8 in the top ten at some point.

I do not know any famous people, but I know tond of people who deserve recognition.

Thats the kind of people I like to be with, in the end.

jw_toyboy 11-17-2003 06:43 AM

Yay looks like I'm the only guy here who's met a suprmodel. I was fortunate to meet and talk to Sarah Ohare, who also was in the movie 'Head Over Heels' and in an episode of Friends("The one with Ross's Library Book") (wife of Lachlan Murdoch, Ruperts son) at of a all places McDonalds. She had been doing a press thing for a Hospital that she raises money for (where I had an appointment to have my eye's examined) and I was sitting alone in Maccas and notice her come in and being a true gentlmen kindlly allowed her to share my table (the place was full) she was alone so we sat and talked for about 15 minutes. A very beautiful and down to earth woman (who can devour a big mac and fries as fast as anyone I have ever seen).

Also I've met many sporting champions past and present, some olympic champions (I was a competive swimmer for many years and my coach was an Olympic Gold meadalist at the 1956 Olympics she introduced me to many swimmers - Dawn Fraser, Kieren Perkins, Grant Hackett etc.). Met Steven Bradbury (first Australian winter olympic gold meadalist) my sisters Ice Skating coach prior to moving to Australia had coached many Olympic champions for Russia and the Soviet Union, her mother in law still is the top coach. Ummm... I know most Australian V8Supercars drivers and I trade emails with Aussie F1 driver Mark Webber often and have also met Alan Jones. Oh and my Mum met Sprinter Marion Jones. Also met a few Australian cricketers, including Shane Warne.
I saw Russell Crowe and his wife days after their wedding, said G'day.
Thats all I can recall at the moment... others will come back to me soon. Oh yeah a relative of mine is a reporter and occasional co-anchor for CNN Europe.

laconic1 11-17-2003 10:50 AM

I met Mario Andretti, Michael Andretti, and Richard Petty a couple of weeks ago. All of them were cool people. I met the Barrel Man for the Denver Broncos once, he lives in the same neighborhood as my parents.

Merrill Streep.

I have met a few famous people but I can't remember many of them. Let's see:

Kathy Ireland, MC Hammer, Evander Holyfield (back when I got to fly 1st class) All nice and Kathy Ireland is MUCH prettier in person than most celebs.

Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) and Jason Mews (Jay). And Jason is really Jay so there isn't much else to his 120lbs. to see.

Patrick Stewart, Johnathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, William Shatner, Deforest Kelley, James Doohan (all at shows, all very friendly)(no I am not a Trekkie, but a fan)

Alley Baggett, Who I must say was one of the most UN-attractive people I have ever met. You would not even look at her twice if you saw her on the street (except that she is so short) She was also not nice at all. Meeting her proved TONS about the airbrushing that Playboy does to their photos.

Sammy Hagar, Nightranger, John Cougar Mellencamp, James Taylor and a few other bands and members. Hagar was the coolest of the bunch, Mellencamp the most laid back, regular guy.

Tons of artists and painters from 20 years in the comics field.

I can't remember any more right now.

Met alot of musicians over the years and in my experiences, they've all been great. You always get the odd one who's an asshole, but in this biz that usually means they are stupidly brilliant or on their way out the door,..fast.

Got some good friends coming over for dinner and to do some jamming two weekends from now. They had about a dozen top 10 songs in Billboard and atleast that much in the top 100 in the 70's.They hate it when I call them rockstars.

I met Jack Nicholson at Tires Inc when he was filming About Schmidt. I was on my way to off campus PE and I got a flat.

I met Matthew Broderick while filming Election. I was an extra.

I met all of NoFX. Big whoop, I don't even like them.

I met Bad Religion- my mom was asking them if they had seen me.

I met Reel Big Fish- lead singer's fish is not real big- he was coming out of the pool at the DoubleTree.

I met Jeremy Roenick once. I was mad at him for going to the Phoenix Cyotes, though, so I didn't say anything nice or ask for an autograph.

I once ALMOST met John Cleese, my future husband. I saw him in New York City, and tried to run after him. It failed. At least, I think that was him...

txlovely 11-19-2003 01:36 PM

I met Sandra Bullock once. Very nice person. Also Loretta Switt of M*A*S*H fame before all the plastic surgery. She was a little odd but very polite.

Kid Rock at LAX going from LAX to DET. Didnt say anything, we were boarding at the same time (10 minutes late =\) and I just saw a guy with greasy hair, gucci sunglasses, a really nice watch + bracelets on, and a giant detroit tigers 'D' on his arm. I didnt realize who it was until after we were on the plane (coach, he was 1st class, of course).

But yeah me and JStrider met Ron Jeremy a week ago and that was pretty bad ass. We got his autograph and a picture with him. He's a real cool dude and funny. And contrary to supposed popular belief, he doesn't smell, at least not that I could tell; lmfao.

I've "met" Wilford Brimley (Our House, Cocoon, Quaker Oatmeal guy) several times; I grew up near where he lived and he shopped at the same grocery store as us. He was a dick.

I used to work at a movie theater that was frequented by several Utah Jazz basketball players, I remember serving Jeff Hornacek, John Stockton, and Greg Ostertag popcorn :)

Also met Lyle Lovett, pre-Julia. It was at a bluegrass concert when I was a kid, probably 8 or 9. He and my dad talked for a long time; my dad said he was really nice. I don't really remember, I just wanted my dad to hurry up so he'd buy me an ice cream cone.

Thats about it.

radioguy 12-20-2004 06:07 PM

i was in New Orleans for the bowl game and saw richard simmons at the mall. he still has his fro and was wearing a sweatshirt with those spandex shorts. i said to my friends "dude, it's richard simmons" and he just looked at me and tilted his head like dogs do. he didn't say anything, he just kept walking.

i played darts at a bar in coppell with derian hatcher (hockey player) and richard matvichuk (hockey player) left a message on my answering machine telling me that he would "help" a friend of mine with a paper. i was supposed to help her. i don't think she ever wrote the paper. they were both very nice.

kurty[B] 12-20-2004 06:13 PM

does mooning george foreman's house when I was in Houston count?

aside from that I've met Scott Hamilton (ice-skating great), and Shawn White (pro-snowboarder).

maleficent 12-20-2004 06:25 PM

Sat behind Liv Tyler on a flight from Newark to Chicago... at 6am, with no makeup, hair up in a clippy thing, she was still gorgeous... (hate her! :) ) She was so nice, even to the people who insisted on bothering her, though the woman she was with (I think her mother) was a high maintenance uber bitch)

Got stuck in an elevator with Meatloaf for about an hour - had no idea who it was until I got off the elevator, We chatted a bunch, and he was a really nice guy.

Rode an elevator with kate Jackson

Was on a flight with Dan Quayle and a bunch of his "staff", not sure it was security or just worker bees.

There was the "mystery Middle-eastern" a few years back.. I was on the metroliner back from DC to NY - in the middle ofa snowstorm. I had gotten an upgrade to first class and when i walked to the end of the car, I was stopped by a earphone wearing, pretty big ass gun toting person who stopped me from entering that portion of the car.
I settled in where I was, and asked the car attended who was back there, he said he wasn't at liberty to discuss, but it was someone I had definitely had heard of.

Was in a luncheonette in NYC, and at the next table, was Ann Curry, of the Today Show on NBC.

ngdawg 12-20-2004 06:39 PM

Back around 1988 or so, we were heading up the NJ turnpike to NYC in our little Plymouth Colt, when I happened to look to the right and see this red Ford pick-up with just 'Freehold, NJ' in small script on the door. I looked at the driver to see Bruce Springsteen at the wheel. I turned to my husband, pointed to the truck cruising next to us and when Bruce saw me point, he hit the gas and zoomed away. :(
Last year, waiting for my flight at the Knoxville airport, I saw this very goodlooking man with a little girl in a stroller. He had on a Yankee shirt and hat and dark glasses and was standing against the wall talking to a maintenance man. I thought he looked very familiar and could not take my eyes off him. Then I heard his voice. I have had the drools for this man for 20 years, since his movie "Independence Day' (NOT the Will Smith one) was out. He played the best friend of Richard Gere's character who kills himself in "An Officer and a Gentleman'. And NOW, he was on MY little plane to Cleveland!!!
