My friends are largely appalled that I listen to the oldies stations. Yeah I'm still only 19. Fuck'em, no-one else plays the Beatles.

I feel old when I see the (relative) youth around, theyre a pack of stuck up bastards. I find myself saying "When I was that age I had respect!" and then I feel old.

Pumas are back in style, that makes me feel old. Omg, Lacoste is back too!!!

People getting their drivers licenses today were <i>born</i> in 1990.

The day I looked at a gorgeous young man, and my only thought was, "he would be great for my daughter". That really made me feel old!

I feel old every day. The scary part about it, is that I'm only 23 years old. Teen girls still look at me and gawk at me fairly often, so that kinda helps. It's when I bring up things like Voltron, Thundercats or 8-bit gaming systems that they're like "wtf?".

My daughter bringing home school projects that I remember doing when I went to school.

Today was cress grown on wet blotting paper.

I'm proud of her, but it seems like it was only last month I was doing that stuff.

In my head I'm still the same kid I was at 12, and the guy that first bought a beer at 17, and the person that went to university in the scary big city.

Then I realise that I'm now officially no longer in my early 30s (just gone 35). That means that I'm almost half way through the game.

explain! lol. It's so true though.. those are my favorite cartoon's. I grew up on them. hell, even the Super Mario Brothers Super Show I was watching. teens these days don't know those things, and that scares me :( Or I talk about my commodore 64/128 computer and they still don't know what I'm talking about. It's like i'm talking greek to them. :(

I caught myself wishing that I could see *real* news programming again with Cronkite.

Son, :D, I think some of us older types need to sit you down and explain what cartoons were really like in days of old... :D

I don't feel old, just well seasoned, like a thick piece of wood. Okay, a little old:

* My grandfather on my father's side was born just _before_ the Civil War (He would have said, War Between the States). He was in his 60s when my dad was born, but still..

* More of my frontage moves up and down when I run.
* Few film fans I meet anymore are interested in anything before the '80s.
* When I was born, there were fewer than 100 computers in the United States, and the British Empire still existed.
* I can't eat chain restaurant junk food anymore; just can't stomach it. No Mickey Ds, Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, or whatever. But pizza will be with me always, thank god. And non-franchise burritos.
* I remember hating Richard Nixon with a passion.

Who didn't hate Nixon? On the other hand, I wasn't that fond of LBJ either. I have to admit, though, that he became president in an unpopular way. I still can't forget Jackie in her pink suit witnessing his swearing in. Must have been a tough thing for a newly made widow to do.

In that vein, you're _really_ an old guy if you remember who David Frye was. And you're really, really old if you remember who Vaughn Meader was. And you're absolutely an antique if you still have any of their albums (I still have vinyl of Frye's "Richard Nixon -- A Fantasy.")

I have THe First Family (and vol 2) and The First Family Rides Again, on vinly- Vaughn Meader is a riot... the first ladies tour of the white house if classic...

Knowing that a kid I used to babysit is now a well respected broker with a huge firm of his own and my little brother has hired his firm to set up a trust for his 4 kids! Just seems weird in a way....

When I ask younger kids (13 or 14) if they remember TV shows like Ninja Turtles or movies like The Lion King and they have no idea what I'm talking about because they were either too young to know about it...or weren't born yet :|.

Then I realize I'm not old! I'm a young man still and I won't be old for many many many years to come. And even then I'll still probably act like a kid :p

I was just talking about this at the Toronto meet-up last night, but whenever I meet someone I can have an adult conversation with, then I find out that they're younger than my little brother, so: adults that are younger than him make me feel old.

My youngest brother is 14 now and in a few years, he'll be an adult and I'll be 30. Now I know that's not old (which I consider to be about Charlatan's age :lol: ...well maybe old is more like 70 or higher), but it makes me reflect on my age.

Also, when I watch the Oscars, seeing certain entertainers on the deathlist (is that what it's called?). That makes me feel old.

I feel old sometimes because there is an age gap of up to four years between me and my friends.
