it doesnt happen to me all that often, but there are a few factors that come into play in determining whether or nor the order will get screwed up. the first is drive thru vs going inside. i find that the drive thru is a lot worse with orders than the people inside are. secondly, i find that the busier "restaurants" like mcdonalds, wendy's or BK, will screw up orders more often simply due to the high volume of orders that they process in a day. if a restaurant is in a low traffic location, your order will have a better chance of being correct because it will be more of a main focus for the servers who dont see as much business in one day.

This happens to me at least once a week. The problem is compounded by the fact that I hate mustard, pickles, and ICE. It never fails that at least once a week, someone will forget to leave out one of those three items.
Therefore, here's what I do, I open it and LOOK inside before leaving. You see? It's not hard, you just open it, look, and then bitch like a raving lunatic. |

Well, partly my fault I guess for not checking my food before I leave. But sometimes I am so hungry and I want to get my food home as fast and hot as possible.
Oh, and funny thing...I went to Wendy's last night and they were OUT OF FRIES! How can you be a fast food joint without any fries?? |

Joe Pesci had it right....They Fuck You At The Drive-Through!!! It's almost a tradition; if you're going to go through the drive through, you need to be prepared to receive:
**Someone else's order. **Your order, but the exact opposite of how you ordered it (no toppings = everything). **Something which might possibly be food, but you're not brave enough to taste it and find out. **An empty bag. **Everything but one item from your order. The list really does go on and on. I smell a new thread here: Screwed-Up (and Over) By The Drive-Thru Window Go ahead, link over and give me the worst you've ever gotten! |

I prefer the much safer route of never ever eating fast food. In high school I played a few sports and since it was a rural area we had to travel kind of far for most competitions. As a result we'd generally end up stopping at a fast food place on the drive back. By the time I was a Junior any fast food made me ill. When I was a senior just stepping inside the building made me sick. The convenience is nice but I sure don't miss the food.
