Breast Implants are just wrong, part two
Since the other thread has become a "plastic surgery" issue instead of a breast implant issue, here's round two:
wei-biguns.jpg This is just outrageous on so many levels. Is the doctor that performed this 'improvement' violating his Hippocratic oath by doing so? Isn't the central tenet of the oath to 'do no harm.' Granted she may not be harmed now, but what about the future? Back pain, upperbody pain, cancer possibilities? Does the doctor who performed this surgery have a responsibility to the patient for any of those things?

are those real?
is it actually possible to get on with your life with those literally 'in your way'? that's just crazy. That IS wrong. Yikes.

She's made a financial decision, having implants of that size installed. It's an investment that, if leveraged correctly, will pay of handsomely. And she can always have them removed later (not to be cavalier about that--surgery is never risk-free, but it's probably an outpatient deal in the doctor's office, not even in a hospital).
Nothing wrong with that. Not my particular cup of tea, but as a businessperson, I can respect the investment that it is. Qualification #1: I'm assuming that's a real and non-photoshopped image, and even it if is, there are performers who have similar size implants, and my comments apply to them too. Qualification #2: I'm operating under the assumption that this woman is a performer of some type, and not just a victim of body dysmorphic disorder. Obviously if a doctor is enabling somebody's unhealthy image of themselves, that's an ethical issue. Last edited by ratbastid; 03-29-2009 at 07:33 AM.. |

Everyone judges everyone. Some people are easier to judge than others.
This woman's choice is probably not the best for her health. However, if that is what she wanted to spend her money on and there is a doctor out there that will perform this, more power to them. The doctor even has job security because she'll be back to have them removed. I just hope that her nipples are at least straight because porn is probably her only job choice at this time.

No issues with it. People do all sorts of stupid things to their bodies that, objectively, are not healthy - multiple piercings and tattoos, extreme dieting, steroids, botox, plastic surgery of various kinds. But hey, it's not my body so go right ahead.

Do you suppose she thought about driving her car when she had that done? What if she did it and then discovered that her huge boobs prevented her from holding the wheel, so she moved her seat back and then discovered that her hands would reach, but her feet wouldn't?

Then she'd have to wear pumps for the extra reach. And it's one of the perks (not sure how many there are) of having huge inflated tits--to save your life in case of car accident.

I had a friend a few years ago that got implants at a fairly young age because as she developed she discovered that she was very lopsided. She went as long as she could without implants but it weighed too much on her. She had very low self-esteem. So she got them evened out. Not huge. A normal size for her body shape and size.
(They were really fun by the way.)

If all men were blind, I wonder if breast implants would even exist?

I certainly would not take a recommendation from that woman and if I went into a plastic surgeon's office and saw that, I'd leave.

Wasn't there a joke where the punch line was something about how in another 20 years, the nursing homes are going to be filling up with wrinkly women with perky boobs?

I don't like the way they feel. Even if they're proportional, they still don't feel right. I prefer small and real to big and fake.

Best line from a Steve Martin movie (L.A. Story):
Martin: Sandee, your breasts feel weird. Sandee: Oh, that's cause they're real!

I generally don't care as long as the woman is healthy in mind or has been recommended by doctors. In my case, I'm actually planning on someday evening out my breasts as they're not as even as I'd like. A lot of girls I know have lopsided boobs as well.. but they have smaller breasts and can wear cute bras that distract from their smallness or unevenness. Mine are large and I do notice that guys notice my chest more than they do my smaller chested companions.. so an even chest.. whether it be implants or reductions.. would be good for me.
Girls that get implants because they think bigger would make their lives better just bother me. It should be something to give your appearance a little boost.. not something that you should rely on to change your whole outlook on life. Don't take your boobs seriously, yo. |

I'll be judgmental. Some plastic surgery is OK, but creating grotesqueries sure looks unethical to me. Unethical for the doctor, that is. For the woman, somewhere between silly and stupid. As a small, petite woman with large breasts I resent the fact that the judgments about bimbos with monstrous implants spills over on to those of us that are naturally endowed. Kind of like when someone paints her house bright purple. Even though it's her house, it really does bring judgment down on the whole neighborhood.

Do I think what she did is wholly unattractive and terribly unhealthy? Very much so. Does she have every right to do this in order to make some easy cash in the tig ol' bitties niche? Yes. As stated, she will mostly likely earn plenty off those bad boys, and can have them taken out later down the road. As a capitalist, I wholeheartedly support her.
Though not physically support. That'd be crazy.

somewhere I have a photo with a stripper with some ridiculous boobs like these.. paid like $35 to carry them for a few minutes while someone snapped the photo.
It's your body you have to right to uglify or beautify yourself as you see fit.

Boobs that big are just gross. Then again, I tend to prefer women who have much smaller breasts than the one in the OP. To me small to medium is ideal, so I never got the breast implants thing. I wouldn't turn down a lady who was a bit on the big side w/r/t bra size, but the woman in the OP is like a cartoon. The few big breasted women I've really found attractive, had the hourglass figure to go with it, as well as pretty faces, nice eyes, and long beautiful hair.

Those boobs probably aren't heavy enough to cause back pain. I believe once they go that big they fill them with air. If you put saline or silicone in something that big, they'd drag the ground.
I think the big difference between this and a guy with tattoos is that the guy with tattoos doesn't have to go to a doctor to get his body permanently modified. I think it's seriously unethical for a doctor to perform procedures like this. For the person wanting the mods, it's just silly but understandable.
