Today I am grateful for.......
 

This is just a thread for us to post what we are grateful for today.... you can post everyday, somedays, once a month whenever.... it's up to you..... and post whatever you wish, but I ask to stay on topic, keep it positive and honest......

Today, I am grateful for Lady Sage, Sapphire (our puppy), my son, a job I love, our cats and most of all the smiles I shared with people today, strangers, clients, friends and family.......

Today, I am grateful for re-connecting with a few old friends.

My muse coming back. It's been back for the last few days, and I've been writing up a storm. It's made me very happy. While i've been in school, the concentration and such have pretty much left the muse on the back-burner, but it' only returned a few days ago, when my last day of school was the 1st of August- so it's been like 2 weeks.

I'm just really glad to have it back... I miss it when it's not here.

For the good friends I've made here.

Also, for the short trip I'm heading tomorrow. I need a few days to get away from stress I've been dealing with for a while now.

I am grateful (unbelieveably so) for the opportunity to have the job I have. It's what I've wanted to do for so long... I even more grateful that now that I have the job, I find I was right in my belief that it's a job I can do and at which I can excel.

I am grateful because today I re-connected with a strength of will that I had lost a little over a year ago. Something I will never allow to fade again. I feel like I'm myself again. :D

Today I am grateful I am loved and most importantly that I can and do love.

Today I am grateful that I don't feel any inner anger or resentments, that I have let go of my past and everyday is a better day.

A friend came by and spent the weekend with me.

I'm grateful for my healthy daughter, my husband, our house, time with friends over the weekend, my flowers blooming in the beds out back, my many pets, and Coffee.

My parents are coming out this week to visit.

I'm so grateful for the support my husband gives me to pursue my creative outlets. He's supportive even when I am successful and opportunities keep coming, ha!

Not many people have such a great support system.

I am greatful for my girlfriend that has stuck with me through the bad times in my life where I was unemployed and depressed, and didn't much feel like being a member of the general populace at all. She is an insperation and I love her more everyday.
And for General Tso. God Bless that man.

Today... I am greatful for my cigar. After working since 4 AM, there's nothing like relaxing with a good cigar under my redwood tree.

Today, I am grateful for the clarity and peace of mind that comes after the finalization of a hard decision.

Today.. I am greatful for my delish breakfast.

Consisiting of a 3 egg omlette with sautee'd sliced green chili, cilantro, and garlic mixed in, and 40 grams of cheddar cheese. Along with a cup of diluted Moka espresso and a 1/4 cup of coconut milk.

A meal fit for a king!

... just glad to be alive... sometimes it's the most basic things in life that are the most important.

I'm grateful to have enough oxygen to breath.

clarity on where I am in life.

Today has been a difficult day. But I am grateful for the love and support of my friends and family in Seattle. I am glad I had the time and opportunity to travel home for a week to be with them, and to feel a renewed sense of home. I wish I could stay here longer; I am also glad just for the land here, the mountains and ocean and everything that composes the Pacific Northwest. My foundation gives me strength to go back and take up my life far away from home, since I know that there will always be love for me here in Seattle.

Today, I'm grateful that I'm excited by my A&P textbook. It's a relief to be geeking out about the awesome illustrations and pictures.

I'm also really grateful for the awesome powers of compartmentalization. :D

Today I am grateful my children went to bed nicely and for the quiet it brings to the house.

My feather and fur-kids, parents friends and most of all my future husband who probably doesnt realize the sense of peace he gives me at night when we fall asleep together (until he snores and I go across the hall to sleep on the futon) :lol: :lol:

I need to say it again, good friends. They may not always know great they are, but I'll do my damnedest to let them know it. :)

I am grateful today for my friends (IRL and here: Elph, Shani, Mal, Powerclown, even Analog and so on), loved ones and Lady Sage.

I agree with Spectre, we should always let our friends know how great they are to us.

Today I am grateful for the chance to see the love of my life, Tex. I'm so excited to get to see him I might just explode!

i'm grateful to be alive, i just found out that one of my friends succumbed to methadone addiction and od'd this past monday.

Today, as every day, I am grateful for my family, friends, health, prosperity, and God. Things may be tough at times, but we will never be given more than we can handle, even though it may feel like more than we can handle at the time.

Animal shelters that take in bunnies. And a roomate crazy enough to ride on a bus for an hour and a half just to visit and bring them veggies.

a nice long weekend with Skogafoss :) and a bbq with friends as the sunset over southern manhattan....

So many things about this weekend... wow. :) Birthday party with great friends, chocolate cake made from scratch by my love! :icare: , a challenging local hike, watching "Little Miss Sunshine" today, and lots and lots of cuddle and talk time with my ktspktsp. :D Sooooo much better than this very same weekend a year ago. :icare:

Just got annoyed by a singer pleading with me to do a crappy gig, but now I'm remembering back to the time when I wasn't getting asked by anyone to do any gigs.

Also, in the same vein as Abaya, I'm glad to be with my wife instead of on the other side of the earth for another 2 months.

Today I am greatful for all of my fingers. They have been through one hell of a lot with me.

They are my tactile portal to the world. I abuse them horribly and they still perform.

I am grateful today for the comedians that have shared their talents and made me laugh, the musicians and their bands that have written music that can soothe me, uplift me, make me feel a feeling (positively and negatively) that maybe I haven't experienced in a while, authors who write awe inspiring books, artists who show new realities and express what they see, for the actor and actress, who can play their part so well, I can forget it's a movie/tv show/play and "feel" what that person feels.

In short I am grateful for the artist, regardless of the art, for the beauty, hope and inspiration they give me.

I am grateful that I do not possess any weapons...

Today I am grateful for my ability to read. Without it I would be lost in a world of icons and symbols. I have taught myself some pretty incredible things by reading and will continue to exploit the incredible ability that we have all learned.

Not to sound superficial or money oriented....

I am grateful I had the $200 to buy Lady Sage tix to see her favorite bands Def Leppard and Journey.

The smile on her face last night as I printed the tix out for her B-day present was priceless and gave me a feeling of warmth, love and happiness that can be very rare to find somedays.

Hope.

The hope that maybe by some unknown force I can find someone to cover at work so I can go to my best friends bedside and be with her while she gives birth to her third child... the way she had planned.

Children, specifically my children. They give me reason to keep going, strength to keep trying to be the man they think I am, and hope for the future of our civilization.

I am grateful that I have a great family who is around and supportive during hard times.

And a husband that makes the times bearable by always knowing how to make me smile and laugh, even though I drive him crazy from time to time. :)

Today, I am grateful that my bf and I didn't have enough money to go down to NYC when we visited New York in September, 2001. We had a two week vacation, and the second week was going to be in NYC, but since we couldn't afford it, we stuck around Rochester. The airports opened back up the day before we left to go back home. The CEO of Thoratec (one of my company's clients at the time) was on Flight 93, and was one of the leaders fighting against the terrorists.

A healthy 3rd Godson and the wonderful woman named Megan who came from another branch across town to be there so I could assist.

for talking with my son and having him tell me he had an "awesome" weekend and couldn't wait to see me again.

My brother (in-law) John survived the night after two heart attacks following dialysis; he wasn't expected to live. Vitals improve slowly, but he is well enough now to complain. It may or may not get better than this, but he and his family with gifted with another day together.

An answer to a prayer and I cannot be more grateful.

Tonight I am grateful for my husband (yep, you read that right). He helped me when my son got sick all over his bed tonight.
