fresh air after days of paint fumes.
fresh, homemade fruit salad after forgetting to eat most of the day.
ice water after forgetting to drink, too.
surprise sex while in the middle of boring laundry.
a hot shower after two long days of bending, twisting and hanging off ladders with a paint brush in one hand, another behind my ear, and another clamped in my teeth.

but most of all...

a warm chest and steady hearbeat to curl up upon and put me to sleep at night.

My husband and his ability to know that I would love a certain picture.

Thus, my five year search for "The Accolade" has ended.

Being able to see the signs that tell me today is gonna be a rough day so that I can brace myself for it.

Coming across insightful statements from intelligent people that echo the sentiment I've been searching for the words to describe.

The friends that i can sound off to and not be so island like.

for having an appitite..usually i starve myself because im stressed and never hungry

I am grateful for my mother-in-law. She is one of my best friends and always knows when I need her. Today she called me from her vacation, something told her she had to call me. I am so glad she did.

I am grateful the DELLilah was in a slow motion death spiral, giving me time to transfer all of my data to a new computer. I think the new one should be named "Lucky."

I am grateful that ktspktsp and I are sharing our first Christmas tree together this year, as a cohabiting married couple (previously, we just waited until we were home with our families, to enjoy theirs). We went shopping for our tree last night, and it was so much fun to pick out ornaments and lights together. :D I look forward to so many more Christmases with him. :)

For Stephanie, a wonderful and beautiful person that has given me the chance of a lifetime to spend the rest of my days with. I'm thankful for the rain and how cleansing it can be if you can percieve it correctly. I'm thankful for all the hard lessons I've endured this year. I'm thankful for my mother, and my father albiet he is flakier than a bum's head. I'm thankful for the little void that's between us all that we can't do anything about except to accept it and awe in it's true beauty of perfection. I'm thankful for the number 1.618.
