Multiple Monitor Issues
Ok, here's the deal, got a SIS K7S5A Mobo, a ATI All-in-wonder 128 pro AGP Video card, and a ATI 3D Rage II+ PCI Video card running on windows xp pro 900mhz athlon and 512mb DDR. I'm trying to make this run as a dual monitor setup. I can't have the pci card in the first pci slot because whenever I do, my keyboard stops responding (doesn't matter if I'm using USB or PS2). When I boot with AGP as the primary card and the pci card in the second pci slot, it comes up with a code 10 cannot start with a yellow ! next to it. However when I boot with PCI as the primary card, it used to load fine, and both drivers said they were installed fine and I even had the option to enable both monitors. Well when I enabled it, it worked for about 5 seconds, and then frozed. Restarted, and now it freezes whenever I login to windows except in safemode and vga mode. Currently I'm just using 1 monitor off of the AGP card, but I would like to use both. I have checked the bios and made changes where they needed to be made, and I think it's a windows issue, because it will work in safemode, but just not normal. But the keyboard issue with it in the first pci slot makes me think hardware as well. Several times while trying to do multi monitor it gave me a popup error saying I recovered from a video error. Any help/reccomendations? BTW: This is only a temporary setup for another 2-3 months til I get my new machine built, but just like it to be enjoyable as possible.

I was talking to a friend of mine and happened to mention your problem to him. I'm thinking the keyboard not working is an IRQ problem, but changing it from USB to PS2 should fix it, so I'm still stumped there.
I've seen the Code 10 error be fixed by changing some video settings in bios to AUTO instead of AGP or PCI. I know you said you checked bios, but this seems like something easy to overlook. I don't know the exact name of the setting but setting everything that looks like it to AUTO should hurt much I don't know if this helps, but it's worth a try.

ya, my bios doesn't have an auto just pci or agp, and did try using a ps2 and a usb and both did the same thing, but ya, I just said screw it and bought a cheap dual head card. Gonna be upgrading the system soon enough so no use stressing over it too much.
