problem with scrolling up and down pages
So last night I left my computer on but turned off the monitor. This morning I turn the monitor back on but it goes to a black screen every time so I hit the reset button. Windows boots up and I notice it's in the wrong resolution. It's at 800x600 when I like 1280x1040. So I set the resolution back to 1280x1040 and load up firefox. Now every page I go scrolls pages at a very very slow pace, probably 1/10 of the normal speed. I tried using IE and it does the same thing. I tried resetting twice and it does it still, and finally I tried taking both the video cards out and putting them back in and it still does it.
Edit: I also tried scrolling pages at the other resolutions and it does the same thing. And also I'm on a benq fp91g+ monitor. Everything else seems to work fine excep scrolling Anyone know what my problem is and how to fix it?

No I havn't changed any scrolling options since I've been on this computer, and it was working fine yesterday. I enabled smooth scrolling to see if that would work and it didn't fix it, it seems to make the scrolling slower. I just noticed another thing and I'm nto sure if this is related or not. I can't load this game I play gunz anymore. When I click start game in a menu that comes up when I click the gunz icon, it never goes into the game, the menu just goes away and nothing happens.
Edit: another observation, when scroll the scroll wheel on the mouse a bunch (well not really a bunch, but when you only scroll at a fraction of the speed it should scroll it seems like a bunch) the computer makes a beep.

It sounds like your videocard drivers were uninstalled for some reason. You need to download the drivers for your videocard and reinstall them. Another possible screw up is if your videocard isn't the default video selected, but usually the only way to fix this is to reinstall the drivers. Try that! When videocard drivers aren't installed, you can't scroll at all due to the screen lag and you certainly won't be able to play any videogames.

Lasereth you're the friggin man. I went to the nvidia site and installed the drivers like I did last night and it works fine again. Now the question is why did they uninstall? I did reset my computer this morning because I couldn't get the screen to come up when I turned on the monitor so I am guess that has something to do with it, however I remember restarting my computer after installing the drivers last night. Well no worries because all is well again thanks to Lasereth.
