Change system folder name
Anybody know how to do this? I'm not talking about the computer name under system properties. I want to change the user names in C:\Documetns and Settings. I right click and try to change it and it tells me that it's a windows system folder and cannot be changed.
Is a fix for this under the registry maybe? |

I think you can just change the user's name that is attached to the folder via |control panel > Users| instead of trying to change the folder's name directly. Trying to change that folder's name directly probably would corrupt the user it is assigned to.

The easiest way to get around Windows protecting certain files and folders is just to boot from a floppy and change things in DOS mode.
You can usually accomplish the same thing if your computer is on a network by using a different PC to manipulate the files and folders on yours.
