is your internet slow/is your system rebooting?/Sassor Virus
Sassor Virus...
for the past week my system has been rebooting on its own... it took me a few days to realize what was going on. it only happened when i was connected to the internet so i figured it was a virus/worm of some sort... after going about it the hard way(deleting files, changing passwords, firewalls) i checked microsoft...... problem solved... What is the Sassor virus? XP users windows 2000 users ^very easy to follow(idiot proof) guide(s) to fixing your problem. this virus seems to be wide spread. |

Found out about it as it spread through our school's network. Fortunately, our network guys made everyone go through a process of programs that scan for the virus, eliminate the virus, and run a patch to prevent the virus. Yay, never got it.

looked up this thread this morning when my dad called and said he was having this problem at his office. He is using a recent Gateway system with SP1 and whatever else applied OEM.
For comparison my winXP pro coporate with no service packs, almost no direct MS security updates but with nearly every extraneous service & program ripped out, running behind a NAT hardware & software firewall, and closed security holes has had zero viruses or worms in the past three years. edit: grammar and structure
