Rules of Tilted Computers (03-07-04)
This is the place where we discuss computers. Computer programs, computer hardware, etc. All things computer-like

Use the search button. Use the search button to make sure you're not posting on soemthing that's already posted. Once you have done that, give the thread a clear title that will let people know what you want to discuss.
DO NOT ask for warez. If you are coming here looking for any warez, ROMs, or serial numbers for any software, you're in the wrong place. Any thread asking about warez will be deleted and you will be warned.
When asking for help... We need as much information as possible to offer our best assistance. We need to know what is wrong with what, and as much general information about your system and anything you may have done to it recently (new hardware, applications, cat spilled coffee on the keyboard, etc...) OS: What version, have you patched it? Processor: Intel, AMD, Mhz, overclocked? Motherboard: what type... RAM: how much and what type. PC100, PC133, PC2100, PC2700, how many sticks. HD: size, type, partitioned Media: floppy, Zip, CDROM, CDR, DVD, etc... Browser: IE, Mozilla, Opera, what version <-- VERY important for web problems.
If asking for buying advice, please list what you have, what you want to spend, and what types of things you want to do.
Items for sale. If you have computer equipment you wish to sell, please provide a detailed description of the equipment. Good resources are the box it came in, the owner's manual and the product's web site. Set a price for your equipment, but be realistic. Clearly state the forms of payment you will accept, how you intend to ship, and who is responsable for shipping payment. TFP does not endorse nor are we in any way responsible for items listed for sale. We provide this opportunity as a service to you.
Articles- Please copy the content of an article to your post, do not just leave links. Having only links looks bad for you, as it shows little to no thought in the composition of your post.
