If I were to hypothetically want to record certain theoretical activities on webcam, what would be my optimal choice of software?

And as an addition, is there such software that will permit simultaneous recording from several webcam sources?

usually the maker of a webcam will offer software that goes with it. I have a logitech cam and I visited logitech.com and they had software to download that worked for my camera. As far as mutliple cameras, I would assume that you could run different programs and set the sources to different cameras, but I guess it all depends on the hardware and the software

So it's mostly "Get them and try" I guess. I'll report back if it's successful.
