IT folks, need your feeback.
Ok,
My company is looking to implement a custom SCM system (50M company). All packages we looked at did not work for our needs... Now I understand each SCM implementation is unique, and many different factors, but we are getting a quote range (so far) from 8MM to 1MM.... and something smells fishy with the big difference. so, what can one expect for the cost of a true SCM implementation? Thanks. |

Yikes!!! Are you sure all the quotes were based on the same RFP? Did some of them leave out some of your specs? I would probably start by double checking all of the quotes you got to see what is missing/included.
I would imagine the cost should probably be somewhere in the middle, depending on what kind of effort and customization, something in the 4-6 range.

Greetings,
Yea, that was exactly what I was thinking. 8MM sounds high, but it is a company that is very well respected within the consulting industry. The 1MM sounded UBER low, but it did cover all the specs. The system will be SAP and a web based interface using either ASP or ASP.NET. |
