I have a Creative Labs webcam. It was around $40-50 and only CompUSA carries them. Best Buy doesn't, unfortunately.
If you pay a little extra money, you will get a better picture. A $5 cam is not gonna look so great, but maybe you can find a good used one online. Good luck!

www.tigerdirect.com... USB flex cable as the search, and theres one for 14$... look at the web cam page for an example... not the greatest, but you could probably tweak around with it for a better pic...
