Transferring an MS Office licence to a new computer
I purchased MircoSoft Office 2007 back in 2008, which came with 3 licences. Meanwhile, I have purchased a new laptop. I would like to move one of my licences from my old, now retired, desktop over to the new laptop.
Does anybody know the procedure for doing this? Do I need to call Microsoft to allow this?

When I did things like that, I always just tried to install it and see what happened. If it doesn't register, then you will have to make a phone call to MS to tell them why you are doing that. Usually they unlocked it on their end.
I say, try to install it and register it. If it doesn't work, go through the steps to call MS and talk to someone in India. |

Hey, that's exactly what I did. I installed on the laptop, and it seems to be working with no issues. I called MS about running a forth licence anyways, but the young lad (who sounded Texan) put me on hold. I gave up after a while.
