Did my Radeon 9500np mod properly?
I tried modifying my 9500np to a 9700 using the rivatuner program. I followed the steps off of one site, but could only modify the m2tag.sy_ to m2tag.sys. I then ran my driver setup program. The installation went fine, and I managed to increase my 3-d mark 2001 score from ~11000 to ~13000 without seeing any odd things in the picture. Yet when I go into device manager or any other system listing program, I see that it's still a radeon 9500. The only place that says 9700 is when I go to display properties, advanced, adapter. There it says "adapter type Radeon 9500" and in the Adapter information box it says:
Chip type: Radeon 9700 AGP (0x4144) DAC TYPE: internal dac(400mhz) memory size: 128mb adapter string: radeon 9500 bios information: BK-ati ver008.004.004 Is this look about right, or is it not properly upgraded yet? |
