Are you going to back up your post with any relevant insight, critique, or otherwise coherant thought?
Go troll another board. I'm not even going to begin to back up Favre, he doesn't need to be backed up. Plus, in this case, it would be totally ironic and pointless... Ugh, I shouldn't be this angry with a post. Goddamn trolls...

wow i am shocked. He is a great player and has had a ton of stuff dumped on him. His addicting to pain killers, contray to popular belief addicting is a disease and many people have gotten their doctorates proving it, due to the number of dopamine receptors in the pleasure zone, his dad dieing, his wife's breast cancer, thats awful for one person. I do not like Brett Favre, but i respect him for everything he has done and that site is awful.

Favre is about as useful as a poopie-flavored lollipop! It gets annoying watching Green Bay lose in the playoffs every year. 26 INT's in 20 career post season games. 9 TDs, 14 INTS in his past 4 years in the playoffs. 6 games total.

Yeah, he does throw a lot of postseason INTs but he also has two superbowl appearances, one superbowl win, and a superbowl MVP. Now if you ask "What have you done for me lately?" the answer is "Captain a team with dubious supporting cast to the playoffs the last four years in a row" Which is more than a lot of Quarterbacks can say. Favre is a champion, he wants to win. When his defense couldn't stop my Highschool team from scoring on them, he tries to force throws he shouldnt... Oh well... Shit happens You may hate Favre because he QB's a team you hate... But you can't deny the fact that the man shows up to win week in and week out. He's battled through many things that would cause a lesser man to retire. In the past year his dad, and his brother in law have died. His wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. He played with a broken thumb on his throwing hand, and had a pro-bowl season. I'm done with this thread. It's not worth my time backing up someone who any football fan worth his spit should recognize is one of, if not the greatest Quarterback in the history of the league. Mock him if you want... You can't deny the man is great. [edit] I also kinda laughed at the fact that the thing makes it seem like Favre even makes excuses... He never does

Randy Moss was ridiculed when he played hurt to further his starting streak. Favre on the other hand is lauded as a hero, even though playing hurt in itself hurts his team, especially in the playoffs.
Now as for the greatest QB ever ? You're having a laugh, or you may be from planet Goobus and have never heard of Joe Montana.

Ugh... whatever
This whole thread is just retarded. Yes, the animation is good for a laugh if you hate Favre. But if you have any respect for a hall of famer who is still putting up awesome numbers, and has waded through a sea of shit and come through clean on the other side... then it's a slap in the face. I said I'm done with this thread before, and I really am now. I just can't believe there aren't more people who will give this guy the credit he deserves. Sure you can hate the Packers, but how... how... can you hate Favre? I'm just dumbfounded. Peace

Yes, Brett Favre should have sit out of the playoffs those years he was hurt, so the team could be guided by the infallible Craig Nall or or the amazing Doug Pederson.
The difference is, Randy Moss could barely walk and was just hurting his team by being out there. Brett Favre could compete and won many games while hurt. Randy Moss was doing it for stats, Brett Favre gives his team a legitimate shot to win the game. Look at the teams featured in the video on the Tshirts and the site, Lions, Vikings, Bears, Bucs except for the Bucs they've all got an embarassing recent history. I'm not a packers fan, but Brett Favre is worth the praise he gets just because a guy doesn't play at his amazingly high level every year doesn't mean he's not worth a lick. Peyton Manning has yet to win a big playoff game, are you going to tell me he's not worth a damn?

I thought it was funny and meant in fun.... however when they scroll the excuses and the last one is "too much beer not enough Vicidon" that was in very poor taste. Not cool to rib someone over an addiction they worked hard to overcome.... that ruined the joke for me.
PS I don't hate Favre, I actually like the guy, buttrash talk and little jabs are a part of sports.... Like I said I think it was meant in fun, but that last jab was truly wrong.

No offense Ace, but I dislike Favre as well, and quite honestly, the content in this animation describes why. I think he could very well possibly be the most over-rated QB in the history of the NFL, not only that, but the way the media rides his dick is incredibly annoying. Everytime a Packer game is on TV, I have to mute it because every 5 seconds its "Favre this" and "Favre that"...it's like, did you forget about the other 21 players on the field Madden (or whoever is riding his dick)?
It seems as if Favre throws every pass wherever hoping for a reception (which explains his numerous INT's), he just randomly throws it up without any accuracy and hopes one of his recievers catch it in triple coverage, which work sometimes, but fail miserably others, his last game for example. It's time Favre calls it quits, he simply can not win anymore. |

Thats a real laugh, especially coming from a Redskins fan site. What with their rich recent history of playoff and Superbowl appearances. Favre needs no excuses, he'll be in the hall of fame. Now the Redskins, they could really use an excuse-o-matic for their sorry ass teams recent play.
I also don't see why people would hate Favre because announcers fawn over him. Somehow thats his fault?

i've respected him...but i'm losing it. he played cheap and stupid in the the playoffs this year...and acted entitled for a win that they couldn't get.
it's time for him to stop the bleeding and retire.

I have to admit that i like to watch farve fail, not because i dislike favre, but because it exposes the national t.v. sports media for the hacks that they are. I guarantee that if a kiddie porn dungeon was found in farve's basement, john madden would still be swinging from his nutsack.
I think vintage farve deserves respect as a football player. Current farve is a liability. |

I never had much respect for Favre as a person due to first hand reports I got regarding his off the field treatment of others. Early on, he was a very good QB but lately isn't getting done what is necessary. If it has to do with what is going on off the field, maybe he should take some time off until it is cleared up.
As far as the video, no big deal. That type of stuff is always put out by people who feel the need to degrade other players and teams because their favorite team isn't going anywhere. This is what the team behind Favre has accomplished the last four years versus Washington: 2004 Redskins 6-10 / Packers 10-6 (Made playoffs) 2003 Redskins 5-11 / Packers 10-6 (Made playoffs, clinched division title) 2002 Redskins 7-9 / Packers 12-4 (Made playoffs, clinched division title) 2001 Redskins 8-8 / Packers 12-4 (Made playoffs) Yeah, Favre has thrown a lot of crap over the last few years but in the end, the Packers still made it farther than Washington. Let the Packer/Favre haters make their videos. It's the only entertainment they have.

Man, what a huge reaction to something that was (one can only assume) meant to be in humor.
I always said when Joe Montana finally decided to retire, I would follow Favre as my favorite QB in the NFL. The guy is good flat out fearless competitor, but I think it is just these very qualities that make him so great also are his biggest flaws. He tends to get trigger happy and force throws that had no business being throw because "I am Brett Favre and I have a cannon for a right arm". He rolls a bit left or right to avoid the pressure and instead of throwing it away or trying to dink or dunk for 5 yards he cocks back launches some SCUD missle 90 yards downfield to Robert Ferguson who has 14 of the Minnesota Vikings standing around him and expects to get the completion on name alone. Maybe it is the personal life issues, maybe it is the thumb, while I do think he can still physically play the game at a semi elite level, it may just be time to finally let the sunset on a HOF career.

I can only shake my head in disappointment to those who find this amusing. All the years of dedication this man has given the NFL and the Packers is more than anyone could ever have done. I would take a burned out, hooked on crack, in a wheel chair, with one arm Brett Favre than those "winners" like other teams think they have.
The only reason someone would produce such a stupid cartoon, is because they still FEAR him on the field. nuff!

My hand shakes with anger... like Ace_O_Spades I cannot begin to defend the man that plays through death, broken everything, wife's cancer... how dare you burn a man who has done so much for football, for fans and for the pack... *shakes head*
This is unbelievably stupid. The man does not make excuses... the man is honourable and... God, this pisses me off. Farve is beyond legend. He has made two superbowl appearances with one ring and one MVP. He played a winning season with a broken thumb on his throwing hand! HIS THROWING HAND! Not only was it a winning season but he made the pro bowl. His dad died and he played the best game I have ever seen. FOR FUCKING SHAME. He loves football... he loves his family... he loves his team. He is the only quaterback I would ever have on my team... For shame...
