These are all fine mascots, but the difference here is that these are all just people dressed up in costumes, as opposed to Buckingham U. Badger who is an actual person - er, Badger.

I also think the Crimson Tide is kinda cool.

Tufts University Jumbos!!! Gotta love a stuffed former circus animal as the mascot. Unfortunately he was destroyed in a fire in the 70's.

Seriously though, My favourite, although not very original and highly inaccurate, would be Spirit the Alaskan Malamute for the University of Washington Huskies.
I'd really like to know why they always use a Malamute instead of a Husky.

I'm a big Dawg fan, too.

The switch may be due to the Alaskan Malamute being far more sturdy looking than the Siberian Husky. Or maybe it was "anti-Ruskie" feelings of long ago. Or maybe Jack London didn't know the difference between a Husky and a Malamute.

NESCAC schools have some pretty ridiculous mascots.

Some of the better ones include...

Conn College Camels
Tufts Jumbos
Bowdoin Polar Bears
Colby Mules
Williams Ephs
Hamilton Continentals
Trinity Bantams
