TD for NBA MVP?
I dont know what the voters were thinking picking tim Duncan for MVP for the second year in a row when Garnett and Kobe had such great years.
What makes him so much better than the rest? Who do you think should of won?

I was going with Kevin Garnett.
Tim Duncan may have the most complete game of all the possibilities, though. I also like that he puts up great numbers without being flashy. This is one of those arguements where you can't go wrong - unless you pick Kobe. |

I don't have a problem with Duncan getting MVP. It was really a toss up between him and Garnett.
Lets face facts. If Shaq goes through a season injury free he is the leagues MVP. Ask all the players who the most dominant player is and it's always Shaq. Who would you want to build a team aroung? Shaq! He is the leagues MVP. He just needs to stay healthy. I'll bet my balls on the fact that Shaq pisses all over Duncan & Robinson in the playoffs. |

I'm with Gov on this on, who else besides KG brought there team as far as he has. I'm not mad TD got it, he has had a great year, but I still think KG did an lot for his time, if it wasn't for KG the T'wolves wouldn't have made it to the first round. Maybe, KG would have gotten the award if the T'wolves had knocked L.A. off.

If you remove TD and KG from their teams, which team would you pick? And if you pick San Antonio, would you give up 9 games to pick them?
The teams are about a wash (to me), and TD took them to 9 more wins... On the Kobe front, I can't see giving a MVP to someone who doesn't play a team game every night. But that's my old school belief structure. |

I think all of you except for Nico have proved my theory about the NBA's reverse East-Coast bias. What does it say about the western conference's dominance of the NBA that Tracy McGrady ( who would probably be the fifth, if that, best if he were in the West) is the best in the east?

Sixate,
So where do you want to be castrated? Do you have a specific location that will perform the operation. Don't worry about the expense of the procedure, I'll take care of it. I think you spoke these words once didn't you, "I'll bet my balls on the fact that Shaq pisses all over Duncan & Robinson in the playoffs." Well I would be pretty nervous if I were you because you boy Shaq got tossed halfway through the fourth quarter. I have an idea, since Horry is so found of grabbing nuts now, let's get him to perform your castration.

i would take duncan over shaq anyday. he might not be as big as shaq but he is a better player overall. come to think of it, thats all shaq really has going for him is his size. he can't shoot very well. he just pushes everyone around cuz they are smaller than he is. that really doesn't impress me. he doesn't even hustle anymore. he will just score and walk his fat ass back down to the other side of the court. my mvp vote would have been for garnett though. great player.

Shaq can't shoot? Thats bs, he doesn't shoot the straight up jumper, thats true. But he hook shots, has a turn-jumper, a leaner and a fader. So what the man can't dribble like Kobe, or Jordan or Magic or any other guard in the league then pull up for the J. He doesn't have to. That doesn't mean he can't shoot. He just takes different shots. As far as pushing people around, well look at his size, how is he not going to push people around? He's a post player for crying out loud!!! For a man Shaqs size to play a whole game or even all of the game but for a few mins break is impressive to me. Trust me if size all Shaq had going for him he wouldn't be in the league, size is a plus but it isn't everything.

Its my understanding that the MVP award is given to the player who contributes the most to his individual team. Be it this being done by putting up outrageous numbers or quietly giving an all around effort. That being said -- KG was my pick, si I guess -- what do i know?

i don't like the Lakers either, but I don't understand all this hating on Shaq. You privately ask any GM or coach in the league who they'd want on their team. The answer would invariably be Shaq. Sure, he was blessed with size and strength. But Duncan was blessed with great hands and size as well. If he didn't have those, he'd be nobody too.

Now about me not stepping up to talk crap when my team loses, well they have not lost yet, but yours sure has. I think your team is going to be swept, and remember, I am still holding you to getting your castration. |

Id say Tim Duncan > Shaq not because of those near insults that others been saying but more because he's the better overall player.
He has the better shot, he can play multiple positions, and he contributes a lot more and a lot more consitently, not explosive night now then bad night later. |

On the other stuff. The Spurs have a deeper team. That's why they are better than LA right now. Lakers have injuries and are just playing like shit. To say Shaq is useless is just not a smart thing. Duncan hardly did a thing tonight. You're bashing is getting old fast. Why don't you cool it down a bit. I have no problem with a disagreement, but all your trying to do is insult people and get them pissed. That shit doesn't happen around here. So please use a different approach. I could be a lot more rude than you, but there'e no need for it and this isn't the place for for it. |

Thank you for the opportunity to play with your balls, but I hate to break it to you my friend, I am straight. Please do not let this strain our relationship though, I have many gay friends. So Even though I understand and except your sexual orientation, I just chose not to participate. Now with that out of the way, I think the best choice would be to wrap a large rubber band around your genitals. Please leave your address and I will be more than happy to send the appropriate material so you can perform your own castration. GO SPURS |
