what are you talking about?
i realise that since they haven´t been the Balmain TIgers, they´ve been pretty shit. but recently they´ve been finding a bit of form. at least they´ll do better than the Rabbitohs. (we are talking about NRL, aren´t we??)

I think the tigers will definitely have the worst season ever
I mean, can anyone name even half of the regular starters? I didn't think so.

They have an even worse pitching staff than the Blue Jays.... which is saying something. At least the Jays have hitting...

ESPN put the 2003 Tigers up against the 1962 Mets to see who is TRULY the shittier team. Here's what happened:

I think Detroit will win more than 40 games this year. I feel really bad for that team and I hope that they get some breaks and leave the Mets as the worst team ever.

My Cleveland Indians are 17.5 games out of the wildcard. Yes, this is spectacularly bad.
The Detroit Tigers are 42 games out of the wildcard. Fourty-f'in-two games out. This is remarkably bad. I feel bad for the fans, I do not feel bad for the team in any way. Detroit is no small market, they've made the wrong choices, and made bad trades. |

I really think the Tigers will escape the record. Their schedule is not THAT tough, they play in the AL Central for god's sake. How many more games against Cleveland?
At least they're somewhat young. Sure most of them don't have any potential anyway, but Bonderman and Maroth could be decent in a couple years. If they're not scarred for life!!!

Detroit is 32-97 as of this morning. Here's their 33 remaining games, and their record against that team:
3 at Cleveland (2-9) 3 vs. Chicago (7-9) 4 vs. Cleveland 3 at Toronto (2-1) 3 at New York (1-2) 4 vs. Kansas City (2-10) 3 vs. Toronto 3 at Minnesota (1-8) 3 at Kansas City 4 vs. Minnesota The 1962 Mets went 40-120, so the Tigers actually have two extra games to work with. They only need to win 11 more games to escape the record, or basically play .333 ball down the stretch. With this team though, that's a tall order, considering they've played .248 this season. Even if they take all 7 from Cleveland (and that's a BIG if, considering the Tigers are 2-9 against the Indians this season) they still have 20 games remaining against teams that are involved in division races. They just came off an 11 game losing streak, and have seen TWO nine game streaks and an eight game streak this season. They've only won 7 games since the All-Star break. This is a team that is monumentally BAD. They are essentially a AAA team that has been thrown to the wolves in the hopes that two or three of them will display the talent to rebuild around. Kind of a "throw a handful of shit against the wall and see what sticks" type of approach. They'll break the record by at least three games. -Mikey |

The tigers used to play an exhibition game with their AAA farm club, the Toledo Mud Hens, for the last 4 years they have not, since most of the Mud hens from the previous year are on the Tigers team now. The Mud Hens are a good team, well okay, their better than little league, but they have a great stadium!! We love our Hens!
Getting back to the question at hand, looks like they'll eek out a couple more wins, and not break the record. |
