SODOMY BRYANT
SPORTSbyBROOKS - JULY 27, 2003
LOS ANGELES - Sunday night Matt Drudge reported on his nationally syndicated radio show (heard at 7:15 p.m. Pacific time on KFI-AM in Los Angeles) the most provocative "dirty sex details" of the Kobe Bryant sexual assualt case so far. Excerpt: "I've decided to reveal some of the dirty sex details of the case. I have been told it's anal sex. ... My sources have been telling me. "That's why it's going to be controversial when it goes to trial. It's what is causing people a lot of uncomfortable feelings. "Some of the details (of the case) are explosive. Dateline (NBC) had some of this information and decided not to air it. ... This speculation is quite solid from where I sit." Drudge's revelation is nothing new to people frequenting message boards and newsgroups on the internet - but it does mark the first time someone has reported it (anal sex) via a mainstream media outlet. |

So, he fucked a chic in the ass. Who cares. That doesn't make him a rapist. Besides, what dude hasn't done that at least once? Shit, he may be fucking his wife in the ass right now. Do you think he should do extra jail time for that?

Ok well I have not done it . . . That might be why I spend time here on the Titty Board. Or maybe that is why he was cheating. Needed to get some backdoor lovin'.
Not that is an excuse to cheat. Just a thought. Oh yeah - my take is he is innocent and she is psyco. That is based on no facts at all.

What's wrong with a bone in the tail pipe? His wife is probably thinking, "Better her than me." Kobe seems awfully sure of himself a lot, no doubt it's that extra confidence he gets from having a louisville slugger in reserve.

I have no problem with Kobe popping chicks in the ass, more power to him. I just think it is hilarious that this case is going to get REALY ugly for him. Being charged with rape is one thing, but SODOMY takes the cake. There is a different type of stigma attached to the case now due to the fact he forced back door entry upon her. I can just imagine the announcer in Staples center introducing Kobe, “and ladies and gentlemen, The Ass Bandito, KOBE BYRANT. |

It seems to be that forcing anal sex on someone would leave lots of evidence that it was rape. So if the physical evidence is there, he will go down, if not he should go free. How do you forcibly fuck someone in the ass without causing some serious damage?

Sounds like you are ready to lock the boy up!
Here are a few points to remember Anal sex is not a crime She was in his hotel room, why was she there? She returned to normal life the day after! She is not in therapy... most rape victims are He is famous, rich and a media darling! A pretty good ticket for the ride she was looking for........ All this may be or he might of forced himself on her and he guilty but you have him convicted without all the facts... That's just foolish.....

i have to agree with met22. i don't know if he's guilty of raping her or if it was consensual sex. i'm gonna say that it's just kobe being a dipshit until a verdict comes in from the court. if you're famous, you need to be really careful. if i were famous i'd be scared as shit that any time i fuck the girl would the next day cry rape. i think some people do cry wolf on it to get exposure and who knows what other psycho reasons. but hell, i'm already paranoid enough that if i hook up with a girl, she'll cry rape later cause of having "i fucked a fat guy regrets." even if at the time of the sex she was yelling "i loooooove the cock." bah. i think i'm just gonna become a priest. err... that might not be such a good idea either. damnit.

This is just the beginning for Kobe. Regardless of whether he is found guilty or not, this is going to be ugly for everyone concerned. Details like this will continue to come out and many people won't take the time to wait to see if it's true. They'll believe what they want to believe and remember what they want to remember.
One person reports it and it becomes fact for some people. Just because Matt Drudge said it, doesn't mean it's true. I'm sure that some won't care what is said about Kobe, but I'm sure Sprite isn't thrilled about finding out that their spokesperson likes tapping the booty with reluctant 19 year olds. The trial may determine his guilt or innocence...but I think the public will rely on whatever dirty laundry is brought out.

Co-worker reportedly was disheveled and had marks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ESPN.com news services EAGLE, Colo. -- Bobby Pietrack, a bellman at the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera, told police that he saw his 19-year-old co-worker shortly after she left Kobe Bryant's room on the night of the alleged sexual assualt, ESPN's Shelley Smith reported Monday. Pietrack reportedly told police that the woman was visibly upset, disheveled and had red marks on her neck and face, according to Smith. Sources close to the investigation say Pietrack is considered the first link in the chain of what is called "immediate outcry," meaning he is the first person the alleged victim cried out to immediately following the alleged incident. The alleged victim went to police the following day, approximately 13 hours after the alleged assault. Sources also said that photos taken of her at that point show the marks. Those photos are considered part of the prosecution's evidence. Pietrack has not spoken to reporters and has declined repeated requests by ESPN. Bryant is scheduled to attend a preliminary hearing on Wednesday at the Eagle County Justice Center at approximately 6 p.m. ET. Bryant will be read the charges against him and may enter a plea.

13 hours is too long.
What happened between the time Kobe saw her and when she went to the police? I do not know if he is innocent or guilty and I figure eventually the true story will come out. Here is s twist though...Bobby and her had a nice talk about how they could both make a huge amount of $$ and he did the damage to her so that she could then see the police with the marks. I mean you can twist shit anyway you want. Art |

This week's STAR magazine also documents Vanessa and Kobe's astonishing spending spree following Kobe's indiscretion:
The mad cash dash, according to the magazine, included: • $4,000,000 diamond ring • $65,000 Mercedes • $76,000 Mercedes • $125,000 earrings • $1,800 handbag • $315 shoes • $20,000 in Versace clothes • Paid off $230,000 mortgage on the home of Sofia Laine (Vanessa's mother) -- Jay Leno piles on: "According to tabloids, Kobe not only bought his wife a $4M ring, also bought her a $65,000 Mercedes and paid off a $230,000 mortgage on her mom’s house. How many women were in that room? The whole cheerleading squad?"

Spending the vast amount of money is no indication of guilt or innocence (at least for the rape charge) but displays a lack of maturity. Does he think he needs to buy his wife these things in order to earn her forgiveness? Does she feel it's justified? Besides since they are married, with the expection of the ring, couldn't she buy any of those things anytime she wanted.

Wednesday, August 13
Typical schedule would start trial in March -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ESPN.com news services EAGLE, Colo. -- If Kobe Bryant is treated like any other defendant, as the Eagle County prosecutor has maintained he will be, then Bryant's basketball schedule could be impacted considerably. Bryant is scheduled to return to Eagle for his preliminary hearing on Oct. 9, and legal experts told the Washington Post that Colorado felony cases generally come to trial five to six months after that hearing, the paper reported in Wednesday's editions. If that schedule holds, Bryant could find himself in court, rather than on the court, as the NBA regular season winds down. The Lakers' regular season finale is April 14, and the trial could impact the Lakers' playoff hopes. By state law, the trial must start within six months, unless the defendant agrees to further delays. Even if the trial is postponed until after the NBA season, however, Bryant could suffer some basketball ramifications. The Lakers, one of the preseason favorites to win the 2003-04 NBA title, could be playing well into June if they advance deep into the playoffs. The 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, for which Bryant currently is a member of the U.S. basketball team, begin August 13. Bryant's participation in the Games clearly could be compromised by a trial that began after the NBA season "Trials get delayed for a lot of reasons," said Craig Silverman, a defense attorney and former prosecutor in Denver, to the Post. "But it's hard to imagine a way this trial could be delayed beyond the season, beyond the playoffs, and beyond the Olympics." Bryant's next step is mandatory attendance at the preliminary hearing, which comes in the middle of the Lakers' preseason schedule and could force him to miss some action. After the preliminary hearing will come Bryant's arraignment, which must occur by Nov. 8, and for which Bryant must be present. At that session, Bryant will enter his formal plea and the judge will set a trial date. The Lakers have five games in the first week of November.

THIS ISN’T ADVICE that Lakers fans and probably Kobe himself want to hear. Frustrated in their quest for four straight championships and hungering to start another run, the Lakers want Bryant on the court.
They spent some money and improved the product considerably this summer, signing Gary Payton to play the point and Karl Malone to provide additional beef up front. With Bryant working his magic, the Lakers figured to put maybe its best team ever on the floor — maybe one of the best in NBA history. But Bryant stopped being the key to success when the Eagle County, Colo., prosecutor filed sexual assault charges against him. At that moment, Bryant went from asset to distraction. We’re not talking minor distraction here, like a fly buzzing around your head while you’re talking to your mother-in-law on the phone. We’re talking about taking your SAT tests while somebody is using a chain saw in the back of the room. That is what it’s going to be like for the Lakers from the day Bryant sets foot in training camp until the day his trial is over and the verdict is in and the last post-trial analyses have been printed and aired. Whether it’s right, platoons and regiments and brigades of reporters and cameramen are going to follow Bryant like ants following a trail of spilled sugar. Wherever he stops, they’ll stop, a collective organism bent on only one thing: feeding an insatiable hunger for the juiciest sports-related story since the O.J. Simpson trial. Bryant, of course, won’t talk much about anything and won’t discuss the trial at all. So the news-hungry mass will descend on his teammates, and the question that will be asked of every Laker countless times between now and the end of the saga will be, “Is this a distraction?” Well, duh! You may as well ram a hot poker into someone’s eye and ask him, “Do you feel any discomfort?” Every time the Lakers come to a new city, it will be a new horde with the same questions. Every time a new drip of leaked evidence hits the media, it will be another horde. Every time there is a development, no matter how minor, in the glacial pace of justice toward the trial, it will be yet another horde. That sort of thing can wear on anyone’s nerves. Bryant might be able to escape into his game on the court, but what about his teammates? How happy can they be to see him coming into the locker room in a new city knowing what that means for them in terms of questions, questions and more questions? At some point, the trial will start, and if Bryant intends to play this season, he must think about what he will do then. It’s not the sort of thing you’d expect him to commute to. It’s not a speeding ticket. He’s on trial to save life as he knows it. If Bryant thinks he can just play basketball, let the lawyers handle his defense, and just show up for the trial, he’s a fool. You don’t let 12 strangers decide the course of the next 60 years of your life without being as involved in the decision as much as you possibly can. Conversely, if Bryant truly understands what is at stake, then he can not possibly concentrate on basketball. And if he’s not completely dedicated to his team and its goals, he is not being fair to them. The Lakers will miss Bryant, but they can function quite well without him. Payton never has been shy about shooting and won’t mind taking some of the shots Bryant would have taken. The same goes for Malone. As long as Shaq is up front and Payton and Malone play to their capabilities, the Lakers will be fine. They may not be a first-place team, but they weren’t last season. The object is to win a championship, and that means getting in the playoffs. They can do that without Bryant. Considering the distractions he will bring, they probably can do it better. Bryant’s best hope is to see that the case gets to trial and is resolved. If he’s convinced of his innocence — or his lawyers’ ability to instill reasonable doubt in the minds of the jury — then it’s in his interest to get it over with quickly. If he is found innocent, he can come back to the team in triumph in time to provide a huge boost for the playoffs. But maybe the biggest reason he should not play — from the Lakers’ point of view — is because of what would happen to the team if he plays as much as possible and then is judged guilty. At that moment, his basketball career will be over and the team will lose its best player. Better to be accustomed to not having him than to lose him with the season going into the home stretch. And for Bryant, better to take care of the biggest crisis in his life than to try to pretend there is nothing to worry about Mike Celizic writes regularly for NBCSports.com and is a freelance writer based in New York.
