Do they even try anymore?
Sixers 124, Knicks 84
"Fire Isiah" is not enough. I wish Cablevision were the victims of a hostile takeover so the Knicks could be sold off to somebody who actually cares about winning.

Was that the game where Zach Randolph threw a cup of water at Nate Robinson?
Stephon Marbury was in my opinion the one who started the Knick's downward spiral when he first joined the team. Yes, Isaiah is a horrid coach and gm, but Marbury did the most to destroy the locker room spirit years ago. Bringing in Randolph was a big mistake, and so will bringing in Artest if they do that. Why they bring in troublemakers is a mystery to me, maybe it is coming from upper managment like you say. |

Their downward spiral started long before Marbury's arrival. It really began when they fired Ernie Grunfeld and Dave Cheketts, and their replacements have gone from bad to worse.
Scott Layden had none of the basketball savy that his father has, making one bad deal for another. Ewing for Rice and some other scrubs, Spreewell for Van Horn, Camby for McDyess, signing Houston to a $120m contract (which was more than what Shaq in his prime was getting from the Lakers), I could go on and on with the damage he did to this franchise. Thomas, on the other hand, had me fooled because he obviously knows how to pick talent, but apparently, that's all he's good at.

I think the biggest mistake Isaiah continues to make is signing guys he can't build a team around. Which would you say was worse for the Knicks: signing Larry Brown, Jerome James, or Steve Francis?

There's so many bad moves to choose from, it's hard to pick just one. Hiring Larry Brown would've worked if he had a decent team to coach. Getting Steve Francis was a bad move because they already had a starting point guard (in name only). Jerome James is a bust, Eddy Curry is an even bigger bust, there's only two guys on that team worth keeping: David Lee and Ronaldo Balkman. Ironically enough, those are the only two guys that are tradeable.

I think they made a good decision in hiring Walsh, he did a great job with Indiana. It wasn't until Larry Bird starting making some front office decisions before that team collasped. Donnie will make some good personnel choices, one being fire Thomas
