Only in Dreams

Just thought this was interesting.

I finally said "I love you" to my girlfriend. Finally, after she let it slip to me about a month ago. I would have said it right back to her then, but I had some things to clear up, feelings to understand...
Mainly, there were two women weighing on my mind, my Ex (first love), and a girl I could hardly say I even dated.

First off, I was foolishly comparing my past feelings for my Ex to those for my current girlfriend. I was obessively checking to see if they were the same, if, in fact, these new feelings qualified as love as I had knew it.
Secondly, I was worried I was still a bit too intereted in this other girl who I went on a few dates with before I met my girlfriend now. Something about her kept me interested for far too long.

I still had those things on my mind when I told her I loved her, but I had realized that I do love her, that she has been the best person for me that I had ever been with, and that the past would always be there.

So then, a few nights after that, I end up having a quite revealing dream.

First I run into that girl I barely dated who I still was too fascinated with. Of course, I pursue her. I lead her on. We flirt, and tease each other, and then just before we are about to kiss, I pull away, feeling that this was completely wrong. She ends up walking away, and later giving me the finger and acting like a childish brat (which she most certainly is in person).
After that, I think it would be a good idea to drop in on my Ex (we are still friends in person) and see how her life is going. I sneak into her place before she's there, and wait to surprise her. As soon as she walks in, I give her a ambush hug, and she seems pleased enough to see me. She walks off to put her things away and all of a sudden my stomach turns. I realize that her apartment is a total mess. It's horrifying. Insects are eating decaying food around her greasy sink. Giant bugs, bigger than I've ever seen, are layered like frosting atop this caked on flith. It all reminds of death. Apparently the mess is too much for her too, and she bends over and vomits. Then I wake up.

As most dreams go, I had no idea I was dreaming until I woke up . I think I might have known a tiny bit, but I couldn't have been sure. So when I woke up and began remembering the dream, I become proud of myself. I didnt kiss the girl even though I could have with no consequences what-so-ever, and I realized that if I tried and live in the past all I'll get is a disgusting mess.

So now the point. Have you kissed the girl? Have you relished in a past realtionship? We are talking only in dreams, of course.

Yep. I have. I do. I don't know why.

Of course, I'm also smart enough to realize that the ex-girlfriend in the dream is just that: a fantasy. We broke up for a reason and those reasons still exist, but so does the physical attraction and even on a mental/emotional level with a few.

I also dream about my wife.

I've kissed some girls, I've kissed some guys - I do all sorts of strange things in dreams. I imagine most people have. Sure some have been exes, some have been crushes - but, it's just a dream. I also can fly and do stuff that's not really possible - it's an escape from reality.

Oh how I love dream analysis! Personally I have locked lips with males and females during the dream state; I'm actually convinced I fell in love with a guy throughout a series of dreams, but I was actually dating his best friend at the time so I left it to my unconscious to play with for a while.

One of the most bizarro dreams I've recently had was that of myself as well as a group of unidentified females (we were in the dark watching a filmstrip of sorts) being served knee-hi sock and ice-skate clad male leg from uppercalf to foot. I had a plate of about 5 to reflect upon and I then spoke of a metaphor for this image/scene, laughed somewhat silently, so to avoid calling attention to myself but I was apparently unsuccessful as a mistress/teacher (*powerful fem. authority figure) walked over to me and then took my plate from me. It appears I've learned my lesson but it was definately really odd waking to it! O . o

That is a good interpretation of your dream Mead, not that I would know anything! LOL! I have had strange dreams and once I woke up have received some type of meaning from them.

I'm laughing at Analog's wanting more on the girls and kissing. Heh. Which reminds me of my latest dream I remember---I don't remember many---and that was of me lying on some royal bed in the East (Arabian) three gorgeous female sex slaves were pleasing me as an Arabian prince looked on. It was pretty dag gum HAWT and the Arabian prince's face became different males.

For me, that was a change. I've never thought or even imagine other females in that way.

Fjandi, I understand the falling in love with someone via dream thing. I've only actually been out with this one girl just once, but ever since then I've been dreaming of her about every night and now she's like in my head constantly. Too bad I think its nothing more than that, a dream- someone who I'll never bee with for real.

Yeah to clarify, I think some dreams are more meaningful than others. Sure I've had sex dreams with other women while I was in a realtionship before. Theres nothing wrong with that, but under the circumtances I felt as if that particular dream were more telling. I don't think tis bad at all to have some fun with other ladies in your subconcious.
