I know since I've had my vasectomy my wife says she enjoys sex a whole lot better... Now she only has to worry about getting pregnant from her boyfriend.

I have to say, it would take a lot for me to switch to IUD. Not because I don't like it, but I'm satisfied with my current method. I've been on the Ring for a few months and LOVE IT. No side effects whatsoever, certainly nothing like being on the patch for the year before that...
Of course, we are so cautious that we use condoms AND birth control, but it doesn't take away from our enjoyment of sex in any way. I don't know if anything could do that!!! But hey, if IUD works for you, go for it!! Whatever makes your sex life happy...

My girl and I agree with that statement 100% aside from the small side effects of breakthrough bleeding and some pain when the cervix is hit during intercourse... still well worth it..

tres: How bad is the pain for her with the cervix-hitting you mentioned? My wife is going to be getting an IUD and she's wondering about the possible side effects. I never saw that one listed, but I'm big enough that I do bruise her cervix on occasion and wonder how much worse it'd be with an IUD.

During sex if i thrust too hard and hit her cervix it is an extreme pain. Compared to w/o the IUD it was just an uncomfortable pain. This pain though, might actually be a good thing, we have been trying new positions that avoid contact with the cervix that we are liking ALOT! btw: She has the non-hormonal paraguard that you keep in for 10 years. Me being in the medical field I watched the insertion, and it was pretty cool to watch, although a little painful for her when they measured the depth of the uterus. The thing is so small you could fit in inside a large coffee stirrer straw. Any questions feel free to PM, Sage helped us out alot when we were thinking about it, and doing it..
