1. Any chance is still a chance, doesn't hurt to get it checked.
2. Yes. I remember quite well an unfortunate incident which involved trying to get one out, it took me about 2 hours to find it and get enough of a grip to pull it out of her. It was odd for me, and very uncomfortable for her as well.

My first thought: NO. Do not worry.
Have you been taking the BC regularly and at the right time each day? If so, really, don't worry about it. If you find yourself freaking out about it still, then you still have to wait until your period... if you miss it, THEN take a store-bought pregnancy test and let us know what happens. Condom stuck inside? Well, did you fish it out after it broke off, or just leave it in there? If you haven't already done so, put your finger up as far as you can in your vagina and sweep around to see if any latex parts are still in there. If you already got it out after it broke off, then don't worry about it. Bottom line: Don't worry.

ok thanks!
yea ive never missed my pill since ive been on it, and i take it usually around the same time, there has been days were i sleep in and take it like 3 hours late but thats it. and this week is suppose to be my period and it hasnt come thats why im kind of worried. but i think it could be just because of the BCP and because i havnt been on it that long, because last month it came but it was REALLY REALLY light but it was late too. thanks alot xox Last edited by Tara; 05-18-2005 at 01:59 PM.. |

i should add...it really cant get lost inside your body..if you stick a finger in when your not aroused you should be able to find it.
and even tho its probably fine...you should make sure you take them on time..when i was on the pill my gyno told me every hour that your late screws up your whole month. if you cant remember to take the pill try the ring or the patch. also..just take a pregnacy test just to be sure..the pill is supposed to make your periods regular.

BC keeps you from getting pregnant... period. IF you take it right and IF your body metabolizes it right THEN you will not get pregnant. Also, a condom can't get "lost" inside your body- there's no where for it to go. It's probably floating around your cervix somewhere, and fiddiling around with a finger should turn it up. However, if you can't find it, you totally should go to a doctor PRONTO to have them take it out, because the longer it's up there the more risk of a bacterial infection.

First off, good for you for being responsible and using two forms of conterception.
Birth Control is 99.7% effective when taken at the same time, everyday. There's a different statistic for typical use though, factoring in human error. I'm not talented enough to manuveur planned parenthood to find that statistic though. Anytime you have sex you should make a map of what would happen if you had a baby. The costs, what you may have to give up, etc. I did and that's why I don't have sex. Condoms, like tampons, can't get lost inside you. If you relax and ummm...fish around you can pull them out. In the event that you can't, don't panic, but do visit a doctor immediately. The last thing you want is something stuck up there. |
