Swollen feet? Morning sickness? Short temper/mood swings? Cravings? It all depends on the timescale - it varies from woman to woman and how much time has passed since the (possible) conception. How long has it been?

Symptoms are vague and different for each woman. A home pregnancy test is pretty much the best option. It would calm you both considerably- or prepare you for the future.
I hope this goes the way you want it to. Good Luck!

Tests are the best way to go... if it's been a month then a test kit should work properly by now.
Good luck either way!

Taken from WebMD for you:
If you're unusually tuned into your body, you might begin to suspect that you're pregnant within the first few days of pregnancy. But, most women don't suspect they are pregnant until they miss a period, and a few don't suspect or believe they are pregnant for months after conception. Here are 5 common signs of early pregnancy. You may experience all, some or none of these symptoms. 1. A Missed Period. Missing your period is the most clear-cut sign of pregnancy. But it is not definitive, as stress or other factors may cause irregular periods. 2. Frequent Trips to the Bathroom. Even before missing a period, most pregnant women report having to go to the bathroom more often. You may even have to get up during the night! This occurs after the embryo has implanted in the uterus and begins producing the pregnancy hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone triggers frequent urination. 3. Fatigue. Utter exhaustion is a very early sign of pregnancy. Fatigue is a result of high levels of the hormone progesterone. 4. Morning (and Noon and Night!) Sickness. Guess what? That queasy feeling isn't limited to mornings. Most pregnant women who experience morning sickness feel slightly nauseated at other times during the day as well. About half have vomiting, but very few have severe enough morning sickness to develop dehydration and malnutrition. 5. Sore (and Enlarged) Breasts. If you're pregnant, your breasts will probably become increasingly tender to the touch, similar to the way they feel before your period, only more so. Once your body grows accustomed to the increase in hormones, the pain will subside. If you have any of the above symptoms, consider taking a pregnancy test as soon as possible. Click here |

/rant You can get two tests for about $15 and then you will know. If you sit there looking for symptoms, you will find them whether she is pregnant or not. Is this a subconsious thing that people do? They just don't really want to know so they don't get a test and instead stress about it? Sheesh.

With a home pregnancy test, you can tell with just a few days of conception.
If you're waiting for your girlfriend to show symptoms, she may not realize that what she's feeling is a symptom for a few months. Also, most doctors will only do blood test if the urine test comes back 'iffy.' Guess what they use first? Yeah, urine. Just like a home test. Just like you should be going out and getting right now.

well I might suggest letting us know that instead of just saying "without taking a test" we have no way of knowing where you live (you dont have a location in your profile), it would have saved a lot of replies saying the same thing.
There are a lot of preggie symptoms that are the same as PMS symptoms. Every woman is different and may not expereince all the symptoms of pregnancy....for example with me, frequent urination did not start for me until the 8th month. Also, when I got preggie with my child, I had one hell of a period, I thought I was actually miscarrying, in some women when the egg implants into the uterus you have a "period" its the bodies way of flushing out your system to make it habitibul for the embryo.

first step I usually take is to verify if I'm a girl or not.
... now to be serious Quote:
I'm normally not like this man, but I really feel like you gotta stand up to task here. You had sex, you got pleasure out of it, and now there are possible consequences. Find out if she is, take one of those test, and that make your choices there.

Every symptom of pregnancy, with the exception of delivery, can be chalked up to something else. The only way you truly know if someone is pregnant or not, is to take a test.

Just take a test, at least you'll know what is going on so that she can go to a doctor to weigh her options. If it has been longer than a month than take a test so that you guys can decide on what to do next.

The tests are availble and can be bought easily, problem is when and how to buy one,if anyone sees me or her ,and in a small town where evryone knows everyone its a bit dangerous and scary for her or me to buy it, new travels fast. Secondly in india this kinda stuff is a bit on the taboo side, people talk and judge and u are treated differently and parents go mad, i may never get to see her , she will be driven crazy by her parents and i by mine !! In our society, we stay with parents till we start working after graduation or even post graduation and therefore u know who will receive the net ordered test box first ...also you know who are going to pay for it and then when it shows up in the credit card records... well i didnt have sex and it happned(hopefully didnt happen) by me fingering her ...and thats harder to explain to anyone, if required well thanks for all the replies and help , my mistake on the location in the profile thing...anyway will let u know in a couple of days what hapnd thanks to all |

Well, in a dash of cynicism (and especially after Ribs' exhausting thread from last week on the same topic), I will say this: I no longer believe in waiting till marriage to have sex, but I do believe in being mature enough to buy a friggin' pregnancy test as a prerequisite.
If you are a virgin (guy or girl) and you can't envision yourself going to the store and purchasing a pregnancy test because you are too embarrassed about the idea, then you SHOULD NOT be having sex, or any kind of mutual genital contact that will freak you out. Your extreme panic means that you are not emotionally ready for the consequences of intercourse. If anyone disagrees with me, I'd like to hear. |
