Damaged Nerve I think ;/
Well, a while ago I posted about lack of sensitivity in my penis, and I gave up mastrubating for about 3 weeks and got back the sensitivity for the most part and ejaculate fine. Been about 3 months, sensitivity is sorta waning but I ejaculate etc fine, but still I can't get a real orgasm and havn't orgasmed in almost 6 months (orgasm meaning real sensation not just a little twitch). I have all the side effects of orgasming (extremely relaxed, weak legs, so on and so forth, but no sensation). I've finally quit running away from the problem and am gonna see a doctor about it, I imagine a urologist is who I need to see.
I looked around on google for about an hour, I can't seem to find anyone who has my problem though, I can stimulate myself just fine etc but for some reason there is just no orgasm at all, havn't seen anyone online with a case like that (they all lack orgasm but have trouble ejaculating/feeling also) I'm really not sure how this happened though, I only mastrabate once a day max, and normally I'm not very agressive, and if I still have feeling I can't imagine whatever I did being to bad (even though nerves take forever to recover don't they so I'm screwed if it is that don't they). Few questions though: 1. Anyone with experience in this kind of situation, I realize I should seen a doctor when it started happening about 6-7 months ago but I was dumb so I hope it isn't to late... 2. In order to see a urologist do I have to go to a normal doctor? Quite simply, I'm not in the mood to waste 2 hours at quick care or whatever just to be told to go to a urologist since a doctor there won't be able to tell me shit. 3. Wish me luck, Sucks still living with parents (only a few more years), and I'm really not sure how to go about bringing it up, but I'm sick of putting it off so I'm going to do it today even if I imberass myself really bad) So if someone can answer question 2 it would help alot, if you know a normal doctor can't handle your situation can you just go to a urologist or do I have to go waste my time at a quick care etc? Time to go pray! |

Depending on your insurance, you generally need a referral to see a specialist.
If you have a urologist in mind, give the doctor's office a call, and find out. Or call your quick care facility, explain the problem to them, and see what they have to say. Explain that you are working, and don't have time to spend a few hours if the doctor won't be able to help you.

oh, and you have absolutely nothing to be embarassed about, I will guarentee that there is nothing that these doctors haven't heard before, or seen before.
If you are under your folks insurance, you don't have to tell them the whole truth, just that you need to see a doctor...

If it concerns my weewee i go right to the doctor.
It's the most important muscle of your body and you will need it lots of times. A few weeks ago i had a little hard thingy on my scrotum , i went to the doctor and did an echography. After 2 weeks it disappeared.

My testical was hurting, so i had to have an ultrasound, and I had to go wait in a room with a bunch of pregnant women... That was kinda wierd... But anyways i had to get two ultra-sounds (one at a specialist) and they have no idea. Oh yea, and i got to hear what my balls sound like through an ultra sound. But Im not discouraging you. Really i think im just a freak with an achey ball. |

but to the problem at hand, i don't think it's a damaged nerve because you'd more likely be in a SHITLOAD of pain or complete lack of feeling. also if your nerve was damaged, i think you wouldn't be able to get an erection. it could just be that the friction against your penis with your hand eventually just caused you to lose sensitivity, that's normal... you might want to try masturbating with oil-based handlotion from now on.

I remember when I had my vasectomy. I did not have to get a referal. I just had to find a urologist that would accept my insurance. (not hard, no pun intended) If you feel you need to see a specialist. Which is probably what you need. But i'm no doctor. I only play one on TV. Depending on your insurance you will have a co-pay 20 or 30 bucks. But if it is under your parents insurance. they eill get the bill for whatever is not covered. So it is best if you are honest with them and tell them what you feel you need or what is going on.

I wouldn't suspect (though I'm surely not a medical professional) that it's a nerve thing. Like mentioned you'd probably have pain or no feeling, and would likely not be able to orgasm. It could aslo very possibly be a biochemical situation. Perhaps you really DID masturbate too much (I doubt you beat my high schore, but *shrug*)... all kidding aside, the side effects are due to certain chemicals, and the rush feeling is due to other biochemicals. If one or more are not being produced proportionally it could have something to do with it. It could be an issue, but it could be something as simple as your diet changing, sleep patterns or stress. I wouldn't worry until you get results, that's for sure!

I used to experience some minor discomfort/pain when orgasming now its just nothing .. Sensitivity wise ... below average I'de say but I still have feeling and can ejaculate with some effort ;/ However, 6 months on no orgasms must imply its something more then just a day by day chemical imbalance personally and thats why I'm concerned. Hehe, I mastrubate once a day, mainly because I never really have the desire to do more then that cause I don't like wasting an hour and a half of my day laying on my bed daydreaming or whatever :P No harm in seeing a doctor anyway though, they go through this crap all day so maybe they can tell me something BTW, Diet - flawless, sleep - 9 - 10 hours, Stress - Stress raises cortisol (I'm a nutrition freak and follow bodybuilding routines/diets etc) |

Just to be sure, since you mentioned body building specifically (and please don't be offended that I asked), but you don't take any sort of hormone supplements or testosterone, do you? That could certianly mangle your libido!!!

Update:
Went to doctor today and talked to him, he found my symptoms odd a bit but is gonna look into the problem and he came to one of the 3 conclusions (most likely that is): A. Urinary Tract Infection (got a prescription for this and hoping this is it) B. Hormone Imbalance - got bloodwork/urine test taken to look into this C. *shiver* I'm a diabetic :/, My Great Grandma was diabetic but shes the only one in my family with the history so I'm hoping for A or B |
