mixed signals
This girl that i sit beside in my social studies class sometimes talks to me and laughs which kind of makes me think he likes me but then most of the time she puts her hair on the side of her face so her hair is like right there if i look at her and i cant see her face or anything..What could this mean?

i say it means nothing - its just how they are used to having their hair.
i used to have the same problem - my girls hair always used to 'hide' her face from me. she didnt even realise it was like that. there was nothing behind it. hrmm.. i missed the 'social studies class' bit. maybe she does that when she wants to knuckle down and work in that class? thats the best i can think of. take a hair tie next class - 'you should wear your hair up, to not hide such a pretty face'. worth a shot - whats the worst that could happen? |

Well... just ask her out to do something. What's the worst that could happen? You're in a class together - study together? One thing that is fairly important to note - when someone shows interest in you that makes them more attractive to you. Just be cool about it, and the worst that can happen is nothing.

prolly means she is shy... or trying to act that way... means if you want it you have to ask...

Are you asking if she wants to get together with you?
Just because you talk and laugh means jack shit - if you are wondering if she is interested look into the way she acts when you two are talking. From what you have described above, there are no mixed signals, just two classmates having a conversation.

As djp said, the only time "mixed signals" come into play is when the two of you are having a private conversation that has nothing to do with school/etc. In other words, if you're talking about your latest homework assignment, that doesn't count (unless she puts her hand down your pants while asking you for help).
If you want to know what she thinks, ask her on a date. Worst case, she says no. Best case, you just found yourself a girlfriend. Go for it.

Better said than done, but try definitely! About her hair on the side of face: I have longer hair and I like to wear it down on the sides of my face, I hope I don't send weird signals to girls I like in class! I wouldn't worry about that. |

I get mixed signals all the time from girls. I have no idea why they do it, except maybe that they like the attention they get from me but aren't actually interested in me. Mixed signals really bother me because they confuse me and I don't usually know how to unmix them.
