I like Will's list for the most part.
1: Honesty is at the top of my list as well.
2: Physical attractiveness remains pretty fluid for me. It's on my list too, but the qualities that create that are various and many. I could do a top 5 items for physical attraction.
3: Intelligence /Confidence / etc.
4: High sex drive.
5: Sense of humor.

I'm not one who believes in 'love at first sight' I think in our minds we pretty much have a very large set of attributes or qualities that we prefer, and when someone we meet immediately meets some percentage of those qualities, we tend to fall for that. It's kind of interesting to try to honestly put those into a list, even a short one. I think there are other attributes that might show up on my top 5 on a given day.

If she was a virgin as well, I could overlook some of those 5 traits for a while (maybe not 2 & 3)...

I'm trying to figure out how being bad in bed is a desirable trait... but I'm failing miserably.

Hahaha.

There is also something really satisfying about taking someones virginity. Not sure what it is.
Sexually though.

but there are stories of women losing their maiden head like, while riding on horseback.

I think the virginity thing is more of a "guy thing." Women want someone who knows what he's doing.

I've been thinking about traits I would look for...but then I would remember a good relationship where none of what I came up with were present, or a bad one where most of them are.

Above all, I have to have someone I can laugh with. And just be plain silly with. Anything after that is negotiable.

....except books. If he doesn't read, I guess that's okay, but not entirely desirable.

I am not in the business of making men. Although, I have wondered what it would be like. I was weirded out by a 27 year old virgin once. (Cinn has met him) Yes, conservative, but he wasn't a virgin for religious beliefs. His parents "had" to get married because he was in the oven. They fought constantly and ended up getting a divorce, after 2 more children. The whole thing screwed him up and I don't like getting into bed with baggage.

No conservatives used to be on my list, but they don't really bug me now....which is weird. As long as they're conservative for respectable reasons, I am cool.

That was possibly the best response ever. You're my hero for the day. I will write a haiku in your honor and burn it over a midnight candle while chanting to ancient warriors.

Okay, so that was a partial lie. There are so no warriors.

Aside from that, I'm with ZombieSquirrel. If some guy slips under my radar and reveals virginity, I'm out. I don't train anymore, I don't do favors. Hell, my current dateability rule is set at them having a minimum of 200 partners. Which sounds really weird when I type it out, but eh...

anyone notice kindness and intelligent are coming up the most?

I find that interesting because those two traits aren't that obvious to understand!

A person can be intelligent in knowing the different species of plants, and also be intelligent in predicting the outcome of sport matches.

I'm not sure why kindness is so popular...

Intelligence: not just some one who has it, but someone who isn't afraid to use it.
Motivation: towards anything at all... and the ability to help me stay motivated. Mutual encouragement.
Human: makes mistakes, accepts that. Feels, cries, experiences life.
Open minded: willing to listen to other perspectives even though agreement is not achieved.
Thinks I'm fairly nice to be around. Otherwise, don't bother.

I forgot to put intelligence...but to me, it's just a given. I dated a guy once who thought I was brilliant to the point that he claimed my intelligence made him feel inadequate (yeah, sure, let's blame how smart I am). One of the things I appreciate about my husband is that we have complementary intelligences. We're both incredibly smart people, but in different ways, and so it works quite well.
