Body piercings on guys

Body piercing certainly isn't for everyone. There have been several threads started by some of the TFP ladies re body piercings, so I thought that it would be interesting to hear some thoughts regarding guys piercings.

Guys:
1. What male piercings have you been curious about, & why?
2. Were you curious enough to try any?
3. If yes or no, what most affected your decision?
4. Which ones enhanced your sexual pleasure?
5. Which ones turned out to be a hinderence?

Ladies:
1. Are piercings on guys a turn-on, or a turn-off?
2. Which ones, & why?
3. Edit--I forgot to changes the numbers after cutting & pasting.
4. Which piercings on a guy enhanced your sexual pleasure?
5. Which ones turned out to be a hinderence?

I'll get it started. About 5 years ago I decided to add some excitement to my life by getting a piercing. My wife had suggested, quite a few times, nipple piercing. I decided against that because I wear polo-style shirts and t-shirts pretty much year round (Houston weather!), & didn't want anything that would be visible through my shirt. After much research I was considerring a Prince Albert, or an apadravya. I went with the apadravya thinking that I might as well take it all the way.

I knew going in the apadravya was a serious piercing. The guy at the shop was careful to explain the piercing, & he asked several times if that's what I wanted. I won't go into a lot detail right now, but the piercing hurt like hell, which I knew it would. I also knew that it would take a long time, up to a year, to heal properly. What I didn't antcipate was how uncomfortable it could be, even after seven months.

I had to return to the shop to get a longer bar because erections were too painful. I don't know if that's the point of the piercing, but my slow healing probably had a lot to do with it. I eventually removed the long bar, inserted a captive ball ring for a PA, & let the top close & heal.

One factor, IMO, is my penis plays turtle, even though I'm circumcised. When my friend doesn't have good reason to be out, he buries himself. I'm pretty sure that the constant strain on the bar kept the wound agitated & slowed the healing process.

I'm scared of piercings, I'll admit. I'm a rough player and I don't want anything dangling off of me that is held in place by a tiny piece of flesh. Snag it on a frilly blanket or something and... !!! I would also NEVER touch the sacred loin area.

1. Are piercings on guys a turn-on, or a turn-off?
Occasionally a turn-on, but mostly neutral these days.

2. Which ones, & why?
Genital piercings are a turn-off (painful), nipple piercings are too tempting for me to pull on, but I do tend to like labrets and small septum piercings. I'm neutral on tongue piercings. Eyebrows look ridiculous to me.

4. Which piercings on a guy enhanced your sexual pleasure?
None, most of the "sexual" piercings I've experienced have hindered it.

5. Which ones turned out to be a hinderence?
See above.

For context: I had a sternum surface piercing of my own for about 4 months, removed it (it was super irritated and started bleeding randomly), then had it repierced about 6 months later. Kept it for about a year, but then got into a relationship and realized that having a piercing between my breasts was going to make sex difficult. I had a septum piercing for ages (I can still put wire through it), have two sets of small stretched earlobe piercings, and I've had failed conch and rook piercings as well.

Yes, going at it full speed for long enough does cause some tenderness in my PA, but I've never actually had any tearing. If I found myself involved in heavy BDSM as the submissive, the PA would be a concern .

I have my septum and my tongue. I've had my ears done. Way back in the day. Had my penis done at one point. Didn't really enjoy it. I got it done during an exhibition at a fetish show. I was on stage in front of maybe 200 people.

I don't mind piercings. I'm more into tattoo on men. Now on women that's another story...

I don't have strong feelings on the subject. I've never been with anyone who had a genital piercing--the wildest I've ever seen IRL is nipples, which I felt pretty ambivalent about. I won't label other piercings a per se "turn off", as I've yet to see and experience them.

I've had my tongue pierced for years now and I'm almost certain that it'll be the first and last piercing I ever get. I couldn't be any less interested in having it - I often forget it's there for months at a time. I doubt there was any reasoning process in my decision to have it done and it really doesn't serve any utilitarian purpose other than attracting the wrong sort of attention, getting in the way when I eat (pain!)...but I have made out with a few women just to satisfy their curiosity.

I'm much more interested in my lady's piercings than my own.

For the most part, piercings on guys are a turn-on, if they were done well.

2. Which ones, & why?
If the piercing gets in the way it becomes a turn-off but most properly done piercings heal well and don't cause problems.

4. Which piercings on a guy enhanced your sexual pleasure?
I haven't encountered one that really did, yet.

5. Which ones turned out to be a hinderence?
Any piercing that isn't healed well or is sore ends up being a hindrance. Other than that, I haven't had problems.

For context: I have my ears pierced in three places, and my nipples are pierced. I'm planning for my lip, ears and genitals to have more holes. I'm not quite prepared for healing a VCH at this point though. I've never turned away a man because of what he did or didn't have pierced but it's certainly been fun experimenting.

i had a nipple piercing for a while. barbell through the right nipple.

it increased my sensitivity and it felt great. it did get infected a few times even though i used to clean it every day. but i also got gynocamastia ( lump under the nipple) possibly from the piercing, so i decided to take it out.

probably wouldnt do it again though. i guess it was a phase in my life that needed it.

I pierced my tongue in high school. It was magnificently cumbersome and terribly difficult to hide from my employer and parents.

The vibrating tongue piercing was interesting, but it never seemed worth the effort.

Piercings being attractive on men? Well I think that all depends on the guy. For example, on WK I think all of his piercings make him look very hot, however if my guy did the same thing I think I would laugh my ass off, it just doesn't fit him.

When I got my nipples pierced im2smrt4u asked me if I thought he would look good with them and I told him I didn't know but if he wanted to do it I'm sure it would be fun. Other genitalia piercings don't do much for me in the way of looks and as it is its kind of a tight fit when we have sex so I'm sure it would be painful for one or both of us.

Plus, if I'm the only one who has the piercings, he stays my wonderfully geeky guy and I can still be the devilish girl who corrupted him. (insert evil laugh here)

I'm not into piercings of any sort, and finding that a partner had genital piercings would be a definite turn-off. I'd be be frightened I hurt him or myself on it. What if I got it caught in my teeth?

I'm probably in the minority here but I generally find piercings ugly / silly. Especially on men.

Call me a brainwashed tool but I see them as a vulnerability in an accident (car crash, fall, etc.) or something to be exploiting during a fight.

I'm a sexist. Piercings are for girls. They're pretty.

I would maybe do my nipples, but that's about it. But even then, I'm rarely topless, even in the summer, so it defeats the purpose.

On women I'm a bit more open. Indifferent to genital piercings, NOT a fan of eyebrow piercings, but nipples, labrets, snake bites, septum, etc are all ok with me, IF, and I mean IF it goes with the look of that person. If they don't have a bit of a quirky style, then it looks out of place and forced.

Did my own ear (using an I canula that Ihappened to have lying about - long story) when I was 18. Freaked my mum out, as I'd gone upstairs to grab some stuff from my room while I was home from colege, found a gol stud that belonged to a GF, cleaned it in IPA (also in my room) and pierced myself with the needle, put the stud in and came down for lunch.

All in all took about 5 minutes from the idea to returning from the room.

The only bit that hurt was sticking the needle into my thumb when I underestimated the resistence in an ear.

Wore it for about 12 years, and stopped a few years ago.

Sometimes think about re-doing it, but never quite do. Not sure why really.

Noever fancied spearing my cock or nipples though.

Wife mentioned me getting my nipples pierced a few times. I never did it. Just didn't appeal to me and the houston summers, like the OP said, are not really conducive to that habit. Nothing says unsexy like piercings and chest hair as well. I have my ears pierced, but even those have grown back with job hunting and therefore nothing in my ears for months.

My wife is hot either way, I don't really care if she has piercings or not. They tend to get in the way anyways, always getting ripped/torn a little, or causing some discomfort or infection, so I even complain once in a blue moon about a couple of them. It's just her ears and belly button. I do like the belly button sometimes, but it's not so much a turn-on as just pretty decoration.

I had a prince albert for almost a year, got it up to a 6 gauge. Liked the way it felt just walking around, something with the weight dangling off the end just did it for me. I had to take it out because I was in a place for several months where it really wasn't the best idea to have. I wasn't prepared to keep the hole from healing over, so I lost it.
My wife prefers me unpierced, and it really didn't do much for me or her sexually, but deep in the back of my mind there was something cool/exciting about it. Still think about getting another one at times.

I would just melt if my wife would get "something" pierced, but I don't think that's gonna happen either.

Depends on the machine and how sensitive they have it set...

I've a 0g apa which has only ever set off one machine.

The walkthrough machine went off first, off course... pulled to one side, it didn't even occur to me that it could be my piercings at first, i was wondering if i'd left keys or money in my pockets or something...

Then the hand-held detector goes off over my left nipple (4g). cue strange looks exchanged. So I lift up my jumper and let him see the offending article.

'ah'

Then the hand-held goes off over my right nipple. same drill.

then, obviously, it goes off over my crotch - i have a scrotal ladder and a 0g apa - at which point he just looks at me, i give him a nod and smile, the waiting queue start giggling and he waved me through the checkpoint. Pretty funny.

On the right guy in the right places piercings are a turn on. I like septum piercings and other facial piercings on some guys. Nipple piercings are OK.

I don't like tongue piercings, it feels too weird to kiss someone with one of those. I don't think I would like genital piercings, seems like it would get in the way, but I have
yet to encounter one.
