Are you the most sexually adventurous / open-minded person in your peer group?
As this forum encourages us to share our thoughts and unique perspectives on things most folk consider taboo, or at the very least "not polite dinner conversation", I wondered if that meant that you all were therefore the most adventurous and open-minded individuals that you knew
Or are there things that your friends do or say that give you cause to blush sometimes? For myself, I'd like to THINK that I'm probably number one (at least for some of the things I think, rather than the things I do all the time); I'm not 100% sure - who knows what lies behind the demure eyes of a few good Catholic ladies that I know...

There are very few things (sexually) that can cause me to blush... usually I'm just so excited that my friends are willing to talk about these things, that I don't even care what they are saying. And certainly, I have yet to hear any of them talk about something that I haven't already explored, so none of the topics are threatening to me in that manner. But who knows, maybe they aren't all telling the truth... but until I know more, I can't introduce them to TFP.
But there is one person in my social circle who "does more stuff" than I do (and she is the only person I have revealed my TFP membership to, in real life), and some of the things that she says can make me raise my eyebrows a bit... not so much because of the sexual side, but because of what the behavior is telling me about her pscyhologically. (E.g. things bordering on abuse and self-mutilation due to a rather poor self-image of herself and her body.) Personally, I see that less as an "adventurous" thing and more as a psychologically-wounded thing, but maybe these things tend to run together at times, when it comes to sexual preferences/practices. I don't really know.

Definitely...then again, most of my friends are still virgins. Asian virgins living with and raised by conservative Asian parents...
Some girls refer to the penis and vagina as "thing!!" Makes me want to "corrupt" them, hahaha.

No. And I'm cool with that. It's not a competition. But I do find it very interesting, as I studied sexuality in depth in university (and no, not like that, rather in an utterly academic manner).
And abaya, I also had a sexually adventurous friend like that...needless to say, we're not friends anymore largely because I couldn't handle dealing with her actions, which were largely due to her baggage that she couldn't/wouldn't acknowledge or deal with. She had a habit of causing unnecessary drama amongst our friends because of it.

I'm not; not even close.
I still have really awkward moments where I don't feel comfortable. I'm definitely the very confident, meets all the girls "guy". I'm an open book, but I think before I act. Some in my group don't care. Again, I will play this card; I'm in theatre. Everyday is a fucking day at BH90210. It's like passing around a bottle of wine; I've dated/fooled around with most of the theatre girls in Fredericton. But there are much worse then me. MUCH WORSE.

At work - oh, yeah. Back when we could get away with it, I once sent around pictures of some naked women in a bird cage wearing butt plugs that had feathers sticking out of them. I'm still living that one down, even though I was just trying to broaden some horizons.
Amongst my civie friends, I'm about average. Here? I'm about as vanilla as it gets. In this very thread, I'm the sexual equivalent of the white man's overbite dance.

I don't identify with any particular peer group, though I suppose you could lump me in with college students. I've never met anyone in person who seemed to be more open-minded than myself, sexually or otherwise, but looks can be deceiving. I don't interact regularly with anyone from Valencia and have made no permanent friends through the campus.
I'll be attending a local art school for a brief period during the Fall semester, however, so there's time yet to discover some open minds, though I don't plan on opening thighs as well, since I'm back together again with a special lady (who also happens to be a member at TFP). |

In my friend group? Yep.
In my marriage? Yep. I don't tell anyone though. Even my wife is relatively in the dark, so to speak.

Among my peer group in general, yes by far. But among my close friends, we're all pretty open minded and adventurous. I don't think any of them are more or less open minded than I am but some of us are into different things.

I am fairly certain I am the most open-minded and adventurous in my group. However, not all of them speak freely about their sexual lives and so perhaps while they appear vanilla, in their private time with their SO they might have done things I haven't even imagined.
I honestly doubt it, though. |

I realised I had gone too far, as they then proceeded to head off to their work PCs to look up a definition...

I don't have a very large peer group...many of my friends/acquaintances have NO idea what has gone on in my private life. I think they'd be very shocked. I don't think I'm the most adventurous though.

I would venture to say I am a bit freakier than most of my peer group. I doubt most of them have experienced a threesome or tying a girl up (although the idea of them doing it frankly cracks me up). I don't think that most of my good friends or coworkers are that freaky, but then again...it's always the quiet ones.

Hard to say when you don't discuss this stuff with friends much. However, with whatever we did discuss, we seemed at about the same level.
