Sexiest Hairstyles
What do you find sexy, what do you wear yourself?
I like wearing my hair in a nice bouncy ponytail, or even better a half-ponytail... makes me feel really girly and sexy: On a man, I like that very carefully tousled kind of hairstyle: But then I also like men with gray hair, spiky hair, slicked back hair, shaved head... etc |

As a rule of thumb, I prefer simple, for example:
Bad: Good: Today my hair looks like this: but it usually looks like this: I've been googling men's haircuts for like 15 minutes. I need to go blow something up or drink a beer... Edit: It's too damn difficult to find pictures of men's hair. Last edited by Willravel; 06-13-2007 at 06:35 PM.. |

I miss my long hair-- I loved being able to pull it up in a messy curly bun with hairsticks. Right now I've got it cut very short, but still "flippy" (I've had people say it looks like Betty Boop's hair) and my peoples seem to like it just fine. I do appreciate being able to wash, dry, and style my hair in under 5 minutes. I like almost any hairstyle on a woman, as long as it's clean, neat, and not shellacked all to hell and piled 3 feet up. Same goes for men: clean, some effort, but I really don't mind if it's a short haircut, long waves, or even dreads.

Hah! This is a topic I've avoided for a very long time. One of my mixed blessings is that I tend to think about everything. It's a little bittersweet because when I say everything, this includes hair cuts... and when I say "think about" I mean, of course, "way too much." Thus, my hair is long... because I'm unable to decide what looks good short. Specifically, of course, what looks good short on me.
Hence, I wear my hair strictly in a pony tail. I used to let it just fall all over the place, but I got really tired of it tangling all over. In a pony tail, it's rather neat, albeit a bit... I don't know what to call it. Frizzy? It sure isn't styled or "teased to perfection." Currently it's down to... the sixth vertebrae, perhaps? It's an inch or two short of being long enough to donate, anyway - which is my current plan for the future. At some point, I intend to hack it short and donate it, 'cause I expect the rumors about college clashing with free time are true, and hair takes a fair amount of time to dry. That, or I find a lady friend (or friend period, I s'pose) who likes to play with hair and styles. Now then, to answer the first bit of the question, nearly anything but a mullet will do, provided it isn't remarkably unkempt. I don't think mullets look attractive on anyone, male or female.

I like a full head of neatly cut hair on guys and I'm a total sucker for silver or white hair. I don't like shaved heads, but some look better with that. Never really got the 'ponytail only and always' deal, whether on a man or woman...if that's all you're gonna do to your hair, why is it long? ( a friend came to that realization, chopped it off and it took a while for me to notice!)

For myself, I have only a few preferences... Short or long doesn't matter, with the exception that it's not obscenely long or way too short. Hair I like: Darker the better, though that doesn't follow for all women. Some specific women just look better with lighter hair or can't pull off the dark hair for some unknown reason. Hair I don't like: That thing where the hair is straight back, but there's that little section at the front middle that they pinch together and sometimes poof up a little... I hate that. drives me nuts. I think part of that is because I saw it come into style and the chicks who started it were all Skanky Club Sluts™. I can't stand those types of females. They give beautiful, sexy women a bad rap because they're high-maintenance, better-than-you, image divas. Also I generally dislike pigtails and braids of any kind. I like being able to run my fingers through the hair of my lady friend (that term makes me laugh, it's the only reason I use it). This includes any formal configuration where the hair is "up" and all scrunched together/styled. Simple ponytails are fine because the hair still hangs down. I haven't yet had a girlfriend who did any of those things, except maybe put it into a ponytail on occasion, which i could care less about. Last edited by analog; 06-14-2007 at 01:52 PM.. |

My preference is a sort of half ponytail... wearing my hair down, but with some of my hair scooped up into a high ponytail over it. I can't find a picture. I feel prettiest in this hairstyle. |

What I mean is, that some only pull it back and never deviate. Long hair on a woman is sexier(to me, at least), when it's loose and slightly tossled. Which brings me to another 'peeve' about hair and that's women who still wear it long when it's all gray and they're a few wrinkles shy of looking like a roadmap. Long hair drags down the face, making it look longer and it accentuates flaws. If someone finds they look better with it pulled back, they'd probably look really good in shorter hair.
As for my own, I like it just a bit uncoiffed and fluffed and never longer than above the shoulders; I also have to be able to see my bangs when I look up.

As long as her hair's longer than mine, I don't really care.
For the record, this is about how mine looks like at the moment: Yup. Rockin' the 'Vedd.

I just chopped two inches off of my hair today. I chopped off four or so inches six weeks ago because it was getting too hot, and then decided to go shorter. So now it's chin-length when straightened, shorter when not, but still long enough in front to tuck behind my ears, yet short enough in the back to keep me from getting overheated. I have soooo much hair I had to get rid of as much as possible.
While most guys I know prefer girls with longer hair, this haircut has gotten me a lot of compliments. I don't know what it is, maybe just the sudden change, but everyone seemed very enthusiastic about it, except for the SO. He finds long hair sexy. He's just going to have to learn to love short hair, though, because I'm probably not going to grow it out again. Personally, I like shaggy hair on a guy. Rawr.

On men, I like alot of different hairsyles. What I don't like is crew cuts, or spikey punk 80's things. Military cuts are okay, sexy on some, but you just can't grab a handful when you want to. I like to wear mine slightly layered, elbow length, but after getting alot of split ends cut it's just down the middle of my back now. The styles I like on women are the kind I like to wear. Long and...straight, curly, french braided, ponytail (high and low), and occasionally in a bun. Things I don't like on women: bald, an inch long and spiked, pink/purple/green hair, 2 or more piggy tails, teased within an inch of someone's life.

I don't think I have a preference when it comes to hair. In fact, the love of my life is completely bald so I guess it's really not an issue.

On me, my hair currently looks something like this and people seem to like it.
On other women, I really love long hair with loose curls or waves, but not all women can pull that off. I know I certainly can't. On men, I love hair that's really messy and a couple inches long. I don't like the feel of hair with products in it so none of that stuff for me. Joe's bed head look when his hair is longer (like..3 inches) gets me every time. Buzz cuts look really sexy on some men too.

for guys, well i dunno.
but for girls, it will depend on the look of the face. but my favorite ones are the long natural hair with the slight curls at the bottom. shorter than shoulders looks bad. (most of the time). and too curly is not attractive. I love the hair on my gf. what we used to say before was, "Buffy-hair". if you ever saw sarah michelle gellar in buffy the vampire slayer, then you know what type of hair i like. it was all good.

I am a sucker for bald guys, the less hair the better in all areas of the body! On the other hand I have fallen madly in love with long hair as well as long as it is nicely taken care of and pulled back into a low ponytail.
**I just rethought about it, I don't have a particular preference as long as it's not all nasty and greasy and ratted and all over the place and unmanageable. As for my hair it's just a bit longer than shoulder length, am working on growing it out. It's so nice when it's about shoulder length its easy to blow dry and flip the ends out but once it gets any longer than that it has a mind of it's own. I like to pull it back in a messy ponytail and hit the road. Less mess and worry! |

Life After the Faux Hawk
I'll admit it, I have had a faux hawk for something like 4 years now, maybe more. I've come to the decision that it's time for a change. The faux hawk is on it's way out and I'm looking for something to replace it.
So here's what I've got: Hair: strands are medium to medium thin, but it grows in thick due to numbers, wavy, and brunette Head: It's kinda flat in front, which means it looks kinda odd if it's really short (read: buzz). What I'm looking for: clean, tight, and trendy. I don't like long hair because it tickles my ears, and short hair makes me look like a skin head. Pictures would be appreciated. |

I'm all about the Bob thats in for girls right now. Anyone watch Big Brother? Chelsia's hair style made me lock onto her immediately. My hair is now quite short, it brings out my jaw. It kind of looks like Ben Mackenzie's hair in Season 4 of the OC:
I also pretty much have the same bone structure and stubble thing going on as him in that picture. My nose is different then his, my jaw is wider, and I have blue eyes. I also have chubby cheeks.

Here's some of my favorites:
Her hair is the only thing sexy there. Ok, I gotta admit, I'm a sucker for guys like Wayne Static... I guess I only addressed "down" hair styles. I like messy up-dos, nothing too slick. As for myself, I right now have extensions because of a hair-cut gone wrong. It was really short and I looked like a boy. I prefer my long hair over anything, but I rocked the "posh bob" for awhile and liked it too. Last edited by Jenna; 03-30-2008 at 10:15 AM.. |
