Real men get waxed.

Its a common misconception that pubic hair waxing is for faeries. Well, I'm here to tell everyone that even if you are the butchest of all men, getting your bush ripped will make you even more of a man.

Lets go over a few things that makes a man a MAN.

1. Pleasing a woman.
Unless your woman has some aesthetic hangup (and if she DOESN'T like seeing your shaved dick, take it as an insult, because no hair means MORE COCK!) then she will undoubtedly love a slick, smooth tallywacker. Not only does it look more modern and responsible, the feel of smooth skin against skin is far superior to skin against coarse thick hair.

2. PAIN!
Yes, you are not a man unless you can endure pain. Getting the hair pulled off of your genitals is pain. It comes quickly, sharply and always a second or two off of the exact moment that you were expecting it. If you can take this treatment for 45 minutes straight and still be able to walk straight and crack jokes, you are one tough motherfucker.

3. Resistance to homosexual thoughts.
When you are lying naked on a table as some gay man is touching your tackle, and you are not in the least bit arroused, you will know you have arrived. My friends, this is something to brag to your buddies about. You see, even if your hidden desires might find this situation slightly appealing, I guarantee you that not only will you remain flaccid for the entire length of the proceedure, you probably wont be standing at attention without some intent goading for the rest of the day.

4. Large genitalia.
Trust me, it just looks bigger.

Add this all up and dash away your previous hangups. Getting your pride and joy waxed will indeed make you more of a man.

Getting your legs waxed is another matter. Only women do that.

i'm still trying to find a place thats local to wax me, as of now i shave and pluck.

cheers Halx

Willravel 12-27-2006 04:22 PM

I'm cool just shaving my face. You do what makes you happy though.

ironman 12-27-2006 07:18 PM

I'm a runner and i trim my pubic hair regularly, note that i "trim it", not shave it or wax it. If by accident i happen to leave it too short i'm in a lot of trouble, believe me, bare skin plus sweat plus lots of movement equals a very sore groin.

Sage 12-27-2006 08:01 PM

I agree, it's HOT when a man gets his stuff waxed. Like, pubic hair I can take or leave as long as a guy's ass is not hairy. Hairy ass is not a pretty sight.

Plus, it's a helluva lot more fun to give head when a guy is totally smooth, and I have it on good authority that it makes the sensation even better :)

Seaver 12-27-2006 08:38 PM

However you want to justify it Halx. I've never met a woman IRL who wants their man hairless, and it's just too much damn trouble IMO.

I don't get it. Though I know my balls feel better from both sides when shaved........
Sage? I think the ass thing depends on whose ass it is.
A very interesting idea for a thread, Halx, thanks.
Misquoting willravel: "Whatever blows your skirt up!"
(I'd be afraid of hot wax on my junk.)
Did anybody see CALIGULA?

I'm curious then: how long does it stay clean hairless before the hair comes back? a week? a month? any less than 2weeks would make this very hard to do for 45min of treatment every time!

ZZTopper 12-27-2006 09:53 PM

yea....,
i dont think waxing is gonna happen for me.
ouch

Two points of contention, Halx:

1.) Are gay men, therefore, less manly?

2.) How is a shaved man supposed to do any sports or exercise without chaffing?

baby powder helps with general chafing, but sweat can ruin the lubrication it.

Somehow, I doubt that me announcing to my buddies that I have a freshly waxed scrotum will be met by high-fives and a round of drinks on the house.

I am intrigued, however, to find out how painful it actually is. I'd try on my leg but

Depending on genetics, 4-6 weeks, it comes back in thinner every time, and it's fine hair rather than stubble since it frows from the beginning.

Sharon 12-28-2006 05:23 AM

Well at least you know what we women go through!

ShaniFaye 12-28-2006 06:12 AM

Meet another woman thats likes no hair in that area. I prefer Dave keep the top of the pelvic area trimmed (dont like the pre teen look there lol) but I 100% prefer the dick, scrotum area to be as hair free as possible

Charlatan 12-28-2006 07:26 PM

I call bullocks...

If you like your junk to be smooth... bully for you. My wife doesn't want me to look like a little boy. She wants me to look like a man.

As for being hairless, no thanks. There is nothing more unpleasant than having your sweaty sack stuck to your leg. We have hair for a reason. Trimming can be good. Eradication... not so much.

IT2002 12-29-2006 12:03 AM

Funny, I thought that for us men, getting pubic hair was a rite of passage from boyhood to manhood. Now you women aren't down with that? I think some here may have a Mary Kay Laterneau complex.

I can see trimming. Waxing isn't gonna happen here though. I doubt it makes me less of a man either. Being a masochist doesn't make you a man. Being so vain that you spend hours grooming hair that only a couple people see seems insecure to me. To each their own though. Whatever floats your boat.

Agreed! JS wants me to try it on him...hot
I like to think of it as men moving into the future...while having less hair...
I don't think its unusual its been coming up, I've waxed since I started growing hair...swim team, lifeguarding...the whole being around pools since before puberty taught me to maintain myself...much to JS's fortune ;)

Personally I don't mind if men are hairy downstairs. No need to feel like a child molester

Sharon 12-29-2006 05:25 AM

ghoast, your post made me laugh out loud several times, especially the last line!

bald just is blah... unless it's on the noggin... :D

little_tippler 12-29-2006 07:25 AM

I'm wondering Halx, nowhere in your post did you say that you do this to yourself, though I'm sure it seems to be implied. Do you? Or have you just sent this out into TFP for fun? Curious :p

I'm not a fan of hair, and unfortunately I was born with more than I'd like, like a majority of women. So I know all about waxing and the pain involved. It's not so much the pain I hate but the cost, it's not cheap to keep regularly smooth! Plus regrowth sucks. As a girl, I have had the full brazilian and it's great, it feels more sexy too.

On a man, I like some hair, but I appreciate a trimmed and even waxed bush, if there's THAT much hair. Hairy backside is also not something I favour, though a little is ok. I agree that modern men should take care of their appearance all over.

Halx 12-29-2006 08:51 AM

I get waxed. It looks, feels, and cleans up much better than having hair. Lots of people are caught up on the implication that they may look like a child or that its vain to groom that area, but I just laugh at that. Its a simple proposition to improve the pleasure you get. Pubic hair does not feel good; smooth, soft skin does. You can argue about the aesthetic all you want, you can even claim you give your prick its own hair style, but feeling your balls when they are grassier than a chia pet is not enjoyable. And maybe if you only compare having hairless genitals to looking like an adolescent, you have other problems I cant address in this thread.

So lets talk about hygiene. Hair basicly traps in a lot of .. stuff. If you get some of your spunk on your pubic hair, you have to work at it in the shower to get it totally clean. Now imagine just regular sweat and random other fluids that may escape into your undies as you go about your day. Its smellier in the jungle than it is on the plains.

I also get my armpits waxed for that same reason.

Happy with shaving, you say? Spending about 45 minutes and $100 every 6 weeks with 1 day of light senstivity to clean up your body like this is far superior to busting a $4 razor on it for 30 minutes every 3 days and having to endure nasty "bumpies" that can scar your skin.

Its not masochism, either. As noted, I guarantee you will not become aroused. Its pain for a purpose, just like you know you're working out right when you start to feel the burn. No pain, no gain, eh?

Wilkerson 12-29-2006 09:30 AM

The day I get waxed is the day they pry the rifle from my cold dead hands.

I don't think the pain is equal to the gain for men. 90% of our nerve endings aren't near any hair. I understand trimming for hygenenic purposes and also for a nicer time for your partner. It reminds me of a joke.

Do you know why pubic hair is curly?

It would poke your eye out if it were straight.

Carno 12-29-2006 01:12 PM

I'm fine with not waxing. My "dirty" pubic hair has never gotten me or anyone sick, so I doubt it's a problem.

But, whatever floats your boat.

My pubes have never been long enough to be curly...ever.
I think after the first few waxes your body builds a tolerance toward, atleast mine does. Still stings, but isn't unbarable. Speaking of which...need to get on that before I go back to school

Dilbert1234567 12-29-2006 01:24 PM

a few months back i was sick, and stopped my normal shaving and let it grow back a bit, after about half an inch, i noticed there is a bit of an odor that acumulates on the hair after a day of work. shaving it off made all the difference.

noodle 12-29-2006 01:25 PM

I laughed (which did not go over well) the first time I saw a completely shaven genital area on a man. Unfortunately, the rest of him remained hairy, so it was comical. He has the softest damn hair everywhere, so I really don't mind. If it's trimmed, it's much nicer. I, too, agree with not wanting to feel like I'm reaching down the pants of a well-hung pre-pubescent boy. I'd take the hair any day.
And my man often showers more frequently than I do if he knows I'm coming over, so I don't worry about the cleanliness factor.

Male pattern hairiness is at least as good as male pattern baldness.

Haha lol
If only they could take the hair form the pubic region and re-apply it to the head in the thinning areas...afterall it is thick!

Any man can grow hair.

But only some of us get to go bald.

ah ok. well that is WAY too much for me to pay but it's cool that it can last ~6weeks. good stuff.

Carno 12-29-2006 07:58 PM

I call bullshit on being hairless for six weeks. The most you will go being completely bald is a week. Absolute max.

Its true, you tend to grow back within two to three weeks if you're lucky.
I'd eventually like to get the laser hair removal down below and never have to worry about waxing again, as I intend to for a good while...

Carno 12-29-2006 09:29 PM

I'm confused.. are you agreeing with me or disagreeing with me?

Halx 12-29-2006 09:40 PM

Its been a few weeks, still waiting for it to grow back.

Anyways, by 6 weeks, I meant, by the 6th week, there is enough hair to wax again.

Agreeing, results lasting 6 weeks are highly unlikely.
Usually you need it be 1/4'' to be long enough for waxing I believe...maybe a little shorter

little_tippler 12-30-2006 03:06 AM

Laser Hair Removal is the shit! I want that too...still kind of expensive though so I'll have to wait for it to become a little more average first. I wonder about having laser down there next to my reproductive system though...will have to do a little research first!

I wish I was one of those people who can last for upwards of 3 weeks with little regrowth! 2 weeks is as long as I'm prepared to wait and after that I don't care if it's too short I'm getting it done again, even if it's not perfect. Strange that it costs you 100 $ to get it done, I can get it done here for about 40 $ and it would only cost me 100 $ if I did several other bits too.
