I'm with Hal on this, although I have never been waxed before, I have on several occasions shaved all the way. I love the way it feels and I like the way I look. I'm a redhead and my body hair is as red as anything you've ever seen. The red pubes just don't look right to me, despite them matching the rest of my hair. Mrs. Coaster actually prefers me to let it grow, but it's my body, and I like being hairless.

When will I ever take the waxing plunge? I don't know, but it sure is on my list of things to do before I die.

zkara 12-30-2006 09:47 PM

I like my guy waxed. He's waxed. I love it. Bigger, better, cleaner, smells nicer.
Love love love. I never used to like giving head till him. There's also that extra oomph where I can lick him right on the skin around his cock...around his balls...his inner thighs.. that is such a turn on, that I would never have been able to lick if he has hair right there. It is no fun stopping to pick hair off your tongue.

Are those hair removal creams safe to use in that area?

I keep hearing women talking about men looking "bigger" with waxing. Is that extra half an inch that big of a deal?

I also have a couple of other questions:

What about the inconvenient truth of stubble on stubble love making?

If both partners get waxed, do you usually do it at the same time?

Perhaps I am too "old-school" but when did "real men" become so high maintenance?

JStrider 01-01-2007 03:54 PM

it has nothing at all to do with being a real man...
just a preference on how you like to maintain your pubic hair... just because your method causes lots of pain, doesnt make you any more manly... just willing to tolerate pain to worry about maintenence less often

Well, it might look bigger, but when the moment comes, with or without hair, it will not grow anything different.

Plus, we have pubic hair for a reason... If you are unhappy with yours, you can always trim.

Men don't seem to have a problem with push-up bras. ;)

The final thing I have to say on all of this is, to each his own.

Some like it smooth, others don't. It has nothing (nothing!) to do with being a man or not. There is no need to equate an aesthetic choice with "manliness".

Sharon 01-02-2007 05:30 AM

Real masochists don't get waxed - they get plucked. Hair by hair...

I just recently did this. The only waxer I found that would do this for men was 90 minutes away. So I got out a tweasers and started hair by hair. I tried to speed things up with an eppilator, but it hurt much more and left lots of small red bumps. So I went back to the tweasers. It took a damn long time, and I wasn't able to get some of the more difficult angles, but I am very happy with the result.

I would encourage every guy to try this once. Swallow your pride and start calling salons until you can find a waxer that will do it. Come home and surprise your lady. You might be surprise by how much you like it and how much she likes it. I am definitely planning on doing this again.

Men also don't say things like, "Real women wear push-up bras.":D

Halx 01-02-2007 10:46 AM

I like how a lot of people took this as an affront to their manliness.

"Halx" in zwahili means "tongue embedded deeply in cheek"

Sharon 01-02-2007 10:49 AM

Oh believe me I didn't take this as an affront to my manliness. ;)

Real masochists use a blow-torch...or kerosene and a butane lighter,

I don't believe that genital waxing is for faeries, but as someone who has their back and shoulders waxed regularly, there is no way I'd want the ingrown hairs down there. I'll gladly keep closly groomed (as i prefer my women to be) but I am all set with shaving or waxing my wang. A few minutes with a quality trimmer a few times a week gives the apearance of someone who has recently been waxed after a few days or a week, and I can do it at home.

With an eppilator? Man, that must have hurt... a male's body hair is almost twice as thick, not to mention that the nervous (is that the word?) are much more.

Well, I pass, I'm not going to wax anything on me. I trim some of my downstairs hair, shave the armpits because I really have a lot, so it's a must do. If I had hair in my back, you can be damn sure I'd wax it.

Besides, I don't think that enduring pain while waxing makes you anymore of a man, nor I think I have to wax to prove my manliness. :D

It would be unmanly to not confront a challenge to one's manliness. :D

Or you could see it as being manly to not see it as a threat to one's manliness. :)

aabbccbbaa2 01-03-2007 06:23 AM

ok, here goes...

I've never waxed, but I do shave... balls and dick that is. Area around balls and dick I trim... doesn't look to goofy in my opinion.
Why I do it? Like the woman higher here describes.. the extra "oomph" when you get your balls licked... feels MUCH better then with the hair on... believe me :)

radioguy 01-03-2007 02:41 PM

whatever floats your boat...no waxing for me!

Philangicality 01-03-2007 07:04 PM

I just shaved today. Completely

I have been interested for a while in an ass crack waxing.

Now that shit would hurt.

Like Deuce Bigelow.

Willy 01-03-2007 10:28 PM

My question is where do you stop? I have hair on pretty much every part of my body. I trim my pubes sometimes, but if I shave it I have a bald spot :P and I have better things to do than shave my whole body every week.

Ever hear of a guy using that laser hair removal on their face? My beard looks terrible, so I doubt I will ever want to grow it out, and I would love to not have to worry about shaving.

Yes, this is true.;) I wonder how women would accept a man starting a thread called "Real women (insert activity)". You have to understand that the inference that you aren't a "real man" if you don't get waxed is a challenge. To be silent is to be part of the problem, rather than the solution to this fallcious way of thinking.

Sharon 01-04-2007 10:55 AM

Well I'm a woman, but I know I'm insecure. ;)

I haven't read enough of this thread to gather a fair consensus, but I just want to say that the trend towards the rejection of pubic hair (for both men and women) is a phenomenon I simply do not understand. Sorry, but I just don't think it looks good or sexy. And as for cleanness and smell, ordinary hygiene will keep you clean and I LOVE the smell. It's natural, and musky and SEXY. So there. :)

AMEN!!!

While a slight trimming in length does not bother me much, I would never trim or shave myself nor am I fond it when women are shaven, especially totally clean. It seems to portray a childlike look and I am only in to the mature look. ;)
I would even prefer if women never shaved any body parts, I know a couple who don't shave their pits or legs and they are both gorgeous women (both German immigrants).

But, as long as there is no harm done, definitely do what you desire. :)

hrandani 01-11-2007 01:48 AM

I had laser hair removal done around a surgical entry spot a few years ago so the stitches wouldn't get ingrown hair in them during recovery.

It is unbelievably painful, the sensation is like a fire slowly burning out your hair cell deeper and deeper - which is in fact what the operator told me what happens. Not to mention you have to zap each hair cell individually every 3 months until you get most of the 'phases' killed off.

Anyway, that was just for a small area and I remember icing the area down afterwards.

I would definitely pass on that for my face, or crotch : )

Krycheck 01-13-2007 07:38 PM

I'm seriously thinking about doing this. I'm getting a vasectomy next month so I have to do it anyways. Might as well do it right. Pain isn't an issue for me, I've been married long enough!

I'll call the salon where I get my hair done this week and see if they can do it for me.

Um, you need very little trimming for a vasectomy, at least when I had mine 16 years ago.

I am a fairly liberal guy when it comes to most things sexually, but I just don't understand the need to revisit the prepubescent stage and totally shave your pubes, let alone go to all the trouble waxing. Fortunately I have a mate who feels the same way.

But, like I said before, I hold not a thing against anyone who wants to do it, it is a totally harmless thing to do.

As long as she gets pleased and loved a few times a week I could have hair growing inside my dick and she wouldn't care. My dick is big enough to satisfy her and it seems to keep on working like the energyzer. LOL:thumbsup:

Brad1989 09-17-2010 07:52 AM

Hey guys. I'm a body builder and have my entire body waxed. It looks better, you smell better, and it keeps you cooler and cleaner. And fellows try waxing or shaving your pits to. Controls B.O. easier and you don't look like you have two rodents under your arms

FuglyStick 09-17-2010 07:57 AM

I'm growing more hair right now in honor of this thread. I think I'll braid my pubes.

Baraka_Guru 09-17-2010 08:13 AM

I've been known to shave my head and face regularly. I've also been known to trim down my chest, pits, and pubes during the summer when it's hot. I've even occasionally shaved the sparse hair on my shoulders for aesthetic reasons before going on vacation.

However, I don't get this whole eunuch look perpetuated by film, fashion, and television. I know "eunuch" is a bit extreme, but still...why must grown men be groomed to have bodies like teenagers?
