Too much sexual intercourse can have adverse health effects????
I have a question to ask everyone... but before that.. here is the friendly arguement i had with my boyfriend last night...
So, we were talking about our first night........ which was a while ago..and it evetually lead to how many times we do it (since we practically live together during school term in university....if u know what i mean..) and apparantly, he told me that his doctor warned him not to have so much sex if he had a sex life because it can lead to Kidney failure (its either kidney or liver) which is the result of ejaculating too much.... .... i was shocked..cuz i never thought sexual intercourse could ruin ur internal organs..O_o.. Has any of you heard of that before???.. Besides men, do women need to worry about it too (less the STDs)..?? ....siGhz..and here i thought pregnancy and STDs were the only risks..

I've never heard of that before. I was always under the impression that sex actually improved your physical health.
But, of course, too much of anything could be bad after a while, so I suppose there's some truth in the statement, especially if it came from a doctor. |

I've sufferd from exhaustion, dehydration, pulled muscles, rug burn, and several other things (head bumps and the like), but I've not heard anything about liver or kidney problems. It sounds like a myth, despite having come from a doctor. I would suggest talking to your doctor.

OK, follow these links for Acute Kidney Failure Causes and Chronic Kidney Disease Causes. Frequent ejaculation is not on the list.
I don't think his doctor told him this. The real question is, why doesn't your boyfriend want to have sex with you?

I don’t think that’s accurate, it may be taken out of the original context; for me and my prostate infection (its bigger than my fist), i have to limit my sexual activity, my doc said, take some aspirin if it hurts, and if it hurts to bad... stop fucking so much. as far as i know the liver and the kidney play no real role in the sexual organs, prostate is a biggy, but not those.

Hey, where all going to die one day so if it is indeed to, at least I will die a happy and satisfied man.
On a side note, I have heard that research has shown that frequent ejaculation greatly reduces the chance for prostate cancer, soooo. I dont know whats right or wrong. |

OK. I'm a physician - board certified in internal medicine and your boyfriend is flat out wrong. Either his "doctor" learned sexual pathophysiology with a kielbasa and a bagel or your boyfriend is lying to you. If I was a betting man ... I'd be willing to bet he's looking for an excuse as to why he might not be able to "keep up." You're dating the wrong guy. Look me up if you're interested. I'm a nice, honest attractive guy with a positive outlook, good job and no dark personal secrets. Sex is good. If I was dating someone who tried to tell me otherwise ... then I'm probably dating the wrong person. |

How does one get HPV? Sexual intercourse from an infected partner. But it's not caused by "the act" of intercourse. And HPV can be acquired through one unlucky encounter in the distant past - while a person can have a more "adventurous" history but not have it at all. And ovarian cancer has, as far as I'm aware, nothing to do with sexual intercourse. .... next patient please ... --------------------------------------------- Hmmm .... good health without sex v.s. enough sex to hurt me .... it's not a tough choice .... ...Actually he has never actually done anything..to make it obvious that he wants to avoid sex..cuz its always him who wants it..the most ... but i told him he was wrong too..cuz i tried to look it up..but i got nothing...
siGhz... he does what he wants... haha..i told him that if its an unhealthy act, then only once a month from now on..cuz i dun want any of his internal/external organs to start failing anytime soon.. haha and he freaked out.. ..so..i think his intentions from the beginning were quite innocent.. But im glad...you guys have confirmed that too much sex in fact does not result in adverse health.. Its true that too much of anything is bad..but .. i guess it all depends how much is too much.. haha And wow.. =) a physician here.. longbough feels like i have an live-in doc
